Wow you all are getting worked up over an over the hill receiver? He won't be the same Muhsin he was before. He is not talented enough to be a #2 WR anymore, maybe a solid slot #3. Jarrett really needs to pan out. This team still has 8-8 written all over it.

Any improvement right now is something to feel positive about. Bringing Moose back home is a step in the right direction. He is a tall legit threat. He may not have the burst, big game ability of old but he can bail a QB out of trouble with his size and hands. I agree our younger wr need to up the game and earn a paycheck more consistently, but at least we have stepped up to bring our QB's a target.

Hmmm, reworked Lucas, resigned Wesley and Marshall is still locked up for a while.....wonder if that is a sign of things to come for Gamble's future here? I don't know that I would be opposed to trading him if we can get something decent in return, but CB depth is a good thing to have too.

i hope dan morgan retires or something

According to ESPN, the Panthers is close to trading Kris Jenkins to the Jets for a 3rd round pick. Damn, they should have traded him last year. They could have got a 2nd round pick.
2/29/2008 1:32:24 AM
damn....seems like such a shitty deal....i kinda want him to go to another team and be a dud or something and then he comes back here a few years later like moose to play for like 2 more years and we get him on the cheap[Edited on February 29, 2008 at 1:37 AM. Reason : .]
2/29/2008 1:37:37 AM
except Kris Jenkins hates living in Charlotte.
2/29/2008 1:41:19 AM
shit i would hate playing for the carolina panthers too...our fans blow
2/29/2008 1:43:18 AM
lol i want to hear jets' fans reaction to the draft-related transactionthe new york jets trade their 3rd round pick .... OH NO!!!...
2/29/2008 1:43:22 AM
i hope they make an updated moose united way commercial

2/29/2008 8:56:05 AM
we have to clean this all up before we go home
2/29/2008 9:10:48 AM
well, at least we got a couple picks for him.better than releasing him for nothing.good deal.
2/29/2008 9:26:58 AM
about a good a haul as we could expect for himAt least the Jets picks will probably be high within those rounds since they sucked last year
2/29/2008 9:27:05 AM
I was hoping for a 2nd rounder.
2/29/2008 9:29:53 AM
We gave up two firsts for Sean Gilbert, missing out on the 5th overall pick one year and the 12 overall pick the nextJust shows you how great the previous regime was
2/29/2008 9:31:58 AM
lol the 49ers signed DeShaunI'm sure Frank Gore is shaking in his boots!
2/29/2008 10:22:28 AM
deshaun actually fits in pretty well as a backup to gore imo.
2/29/2008 10:29:44 AM
i heard today on the dan patrick show that folks in charlotte have been in contact with randy moss. then they were talking about how impossible it would be to stop steve smith and randy moss.
2/29/2008 12:07:24 PM
i think thats about as unlikely as the Chad Johnson thingI'd love to sign a star receiver like that but I'm not holding my breathbesides I figure the Pats will hold onto MossI'd like to see us go after DJ Hackett
2/29/2008 12:08:33 PM
i would love that. my cowboys friends have been talking so much shit about the possibility of TO and Moss together in dallas.
2/29/2008 12:10:13 PM
dj hackett? are u kidding me????? stay as far away from my football team as possible.
2/29/2008 12:11:51 PM
whats wrong with Hackett? when he's been healthy he's at times looked like Seattle's best WRmaybe you'd prefer Colbert]
2/29/2008 12:12:30 PM
Kris Jenkins is going to the Jets for a 3 and 5th round pick. Seems like a move to free up some cap space since he was due a 1 mil bonus next week. I hope Damione Lewis can step it up next season. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/7852370?MSNHPHMA
2/29/2008 12:38:50 PM
way to read the thread, slugger
2/29/2008 12:44:38 PM
no i do not prefer colbert. im hoping to god we release him, but dj hackett is not seattles best receiver when healthy. the guy has never even played a full season.we've got to get a STRONG #2 WR
2/29/2008 12:50:08 PM
aside from hackett's injury risks, i don't know whats bad about himmaybe i've only watched him during good games cause i don't catch many seahawks games...but when i've seen him he's been solid
2/29/2008 12:51:56 PM
You guys realize Moose will be our number 2 rightSmith Moose Carter JarrettI'd be surprised if that wasn't the top 4 heading into the seasonThis is the Panthers we're talking about...we don't make big sexy trades or signings
2/29/2008 12:55:21 PM
^Carter is a FA, so no guarantee that he'll be back.
2/29/2008 1:08:25 PM
Carter is a UFA and the Panthers are not done at WR.
2/29/2008 1:10:54 PM
wait.. deshaun to the 49ers.... who is our starting RB? DeAngelo's little @$$?!?!?Please please please grab a stephen davis-esque RB...... PLEASE!
2/29/2008 1:18:17 PM
2/29/2008 1:25:27 PM
2/29/2008 1:40:10 PM
^both are basically the same player. Hard-hitting, can't cover safeties. What we need is a safety that can cover.
2/29/2008 1:42:45 PM
we cardinals are shopping around Fitzgerald it seems if yall want him
2/29/2008 1:49:04 PM
^if they trade him, they might as well fold the franchise because nobody would want to play for the cardinals anymore.
2/29/2008 2:01:29 PM
2/29/2008 2:05:26 PM
^uh, did you watch the defensive backs play last year? Granted, they didn't have much pass rush, but that's beyond the point.
