yes the review should have taken place, IF the buzz occured prior to the snap of the ball, there was at least 12 seconds for the buzz to happen, my guess is it was a great job of officiating

the field goal complaint is a stretchthe broncos did it to the raidersand then the raiders did it the next weekand the bills did it this weekno big deal[Edited on October 9, 2007 at 12:21 AM. Reason : ^IF? the officials placed the ball down and then Romo spiked it...then they reviewed the play...]
10/9/2007 12:19:46 AM
not a big deal in this instancebut a big deal as a wholeand will more than likely be changed in the offseason
10/9/2007 12:21:25 AM
this was absolutely PERFECT end of game officiating by this refereeing team. I wouldn't be surprised if this team is reffing at least a conference championship game.if you note on the first field goal "attempt" the two referees under the goal posts do not even indicate a completed field goal attempt, neither ref raises his hands, they both understood the situation and noted that the side judge probably came in and stopped the play, the refs can't stop a field goal from happening if the TO happens 1 second before the snap
10/9/2007 12:22:12 AM
it shouldn't be changed in the off-seasonits a legitimate rule/loophole
10/9/2007 12:22:31 AM
This was a great game. One of the best ive seen in awhile. Gotta give props to the kicker. The man hits two 50+ yard field goals in a row...this is why these guys are paid millions.
10/9/2007 12:23:05 AM
goddamn there's a lot of idiocy in this thread.the head referee is the only one with the buzzer. if you note, on the play where they spike it, the linesman marks the spot and the field judge is placing the ball at the spot, neither of these refs have a buzzer, they are doing their job as its outline in the handbook
10/9/2007 12:24:02 AM
Nick Folk FTW!!!
10/9/2007 12:24:07 AM
Tony Romo is a wonderful man and I am glad that he will be a QB in this league for years to come.

10/9/2007 12:25:10 AM
btw...there is absolutely no logical reason for the TO rule to be changed. also how on earth would you change it? you can't take a TO 1 second before the snap? how do you know when the snap will be. the side judge is responsible for making sure that the TO is taken correctly, if the ball is already snapped then no TO should be taken, if it hasn't then either coach should be able to call a timeout
10/9/2007 12:26:30 AM
That rule is terrbleIts like you're fucking a chick and trying to get her pregnantAnd you're just about at the point of no returnThen she tells you she has to take a shitThen you have to wait 10 minutes and try all over again
10/9/2007 12:26:33 AM
no, not really
10/9/2007 12:27:22 AM
the most important thing about this game is that Nick Folk has a job tomorrow

ok enough about the refs, they did an adequate job at the least...how does TO get away with being so uncoordinated? he is not half the receiver smith is
10/9/2007 12:30:24 AM
10/9/2007 12:31:21 AM
yea, my thoughts exactly. TO is WAY overrated. Paid too much as it is.TJ who'syomomma is way better.[Edited on October 9, 2007 at 12:34 AM. Reason : Bengals ]

^,^^,^^^ Don't be such homers. TO is damn good. So is Steve Smith.TO is averaging 90 YPG and 19 YPC.Smith 72 YPG and 14.4 YPC.Doesn't look to me like Smith is that much better than TO.
10/9/2007 12:38:27 AM
Steve Smith is better at making plays after the catch than TO is
10/9/2007 12:41:19 AM
i didn't watch but the last 8 minutes of tonight's game, but i don't see how you can say that TO isn't at least good.
10/9/2007 12:41:40 AM
He's good, yes. But he's also overhyped and overrated.
10/9/2007 12:42:36 AM
he had two or more big dropps,
10/9/2007 12:44:02 AM
TO's been pretty low key this season compared to last season...
10/9/2007 12:46:31 AM
did they run any time off on the TD to terrell owens?i thought it was at :20 when the play started and at :20 when it was overanybody else notice this?oh and
10/9/2007 2:59:07 AM
we all know if it had been any receiver to drop that pass other than TO, he himself would have gone back to the sidelines like a little cockface and bitched about how it should have been him catching it.[Edited on October 9, 2007 at 3:44 AM. Reason : .]

On the two point conversion try to TO, there was some serious pass interference. The defender was not even making a play on the ball and had his back to the play, pushed/grabbed TO, and luckily was able to pull the ball out of his hands. Even my wife said "that should be pass interference". Regardless though, I'm glad Folk hit that FG because it was worth 5 pts (over 50 yards) in my fantasy league. One hell of a game for sure.

even though i really really really wish the Bills had won cause I hate the Cowboys, that was a helluva game
10/9/2007 12:54:35 PM
As a Bills fan the only thing I can say is that it was a great game, unfortunately ouf offense is pathetic. Two defensive touchdowns from a line-up which is missing 5 starters and to still play like that is nothing short of miraculous. I hope to god the Cowboys beat the Pats next week though
