I guess it can get worse for Liverpool [Edited on January 6, 2008 at 7:03 PM. Reason : at least crouch scored][Edited on January 6, 2008 at 7:06 PM. Reason : .]
1/6/2008 7:03:40 PM
i have no idea who liverpool fielded in that match...but i do know they should sell gerrard right now. he is a shell of his former self. he looks slower this year and not as in control of the midfield as he used to be. maybe i just keep seeing the bad matches that he plays this year and miss the good ones, or maybe hes just having a bad year?...
1/6/2008 7:06:56 PM
1/6/2008 7:40:10 PM
torres always stands out, the only other player i notice that stands out when i watch them is Babel, but he never seems to start.
1/6/2008 7:43:26 PM
also... Gerrard has 12 goals in all competitions -- it's not just him holding down the midfield and being the team's leader, its been him scoring goals (many of them key) too
1/6/2008 8:12:59 PM
he has 12?! where the hell did he score all those goals?
1/6/2008 9:38:15 PM
this was #1 this season. winner on opening day against Aston Villahttp://video.aol.com/video-detail/aston-villa-liverpool-steven-gerrards-free-kick-goal/2003513980

1/12/2008 3:51:07 PM
United is on top by goal differential (33 to 26)
1/12/2008 3:53:18 PM
22 games in...goal differential is
1/12/2008 3:56:07 PM
Couldn't you also say 22 games in points are ? That's a pretty huge difference. If Arsenal wants to win the title they're gonna have to get more points.
1/12/2008 3:59:26 PM

1/15/2008 4:31:59 PM
Gerrard's 3rd was niceLuton gave up after Liverpool's 2ndI also think Gerrard/Torres probably should've been replaced after 2-0, and definitely after 3-0 but Rafa supposedly has methods to his madness

Michael Carrick could be about to return to his native North East as part of Kevin Keegan's latest revolution on Tyneside.Manchester United's former Tottenham and West Ham midfielder was today linked with an £18m move to Newcastle. The Daily Star Sunday says Keegan wants the England midfielder to breath life into the side he inherited from sacked boss Sam Allardyce.Carrick has only played a handful of games at Old Trafford this season and has been kept out of the side by the form of Anderson. If the deal goes through, Manchester United would use the money to help finance a £30m bid for Tottenham striker Dimitar Berbatov, according to the Mirror on Sunday.
1/20/2008 8:16:26 PM
get rid of carrick, he really hasnt done anything impressive. and spot on about anderson. that kid is holding down the midfield and is only gonna get betterbut that price-tag is ridiculously too high for berbatov. hes already i think in his upper 20s, he doesnt have too many more years left at full potential[Edited on January 20, 2008 at 9:03 PM. Reason : d]

ONDON (AP) - Tottenham ended a nine-year winless streak against Arsenal on Tuesday to reach the English League Cup final with a 5-1 victory.Jermaine Jenas, Nicklas Bendtner's own-goal, Robbie Keane and Aaron Lennon put Spurs 4-0 ahead before Emmanuel Adebayor replied for Arsenal.Steed Malbranque then added a goal in injury time to give Spurs a 6-2 aggregate victory. The end of Arsenal's record 21-match unbeaten run against its north London rival means three-time League Cup winner Tottenham will play either defending champion Chelsea or Everton in the Feb. 24 final at Wembley. The other two teams play the second leg of their semifinal on Wednesday, with Chelsea leading 2-1 from its home match
