it's not hard to improve on .274%. He doesn't knock down free throws particularly well. If he does continue to shoot better, he'll become one of the best scorers in the league. He's a great athlete. Few have his combination of size and speed. But you could say that exact same thing about several players in the league.....LeBron James.I really wish we'd draft Nick Young. He seems to be exactly what we need. A sweet shooting two guard with good size and strength. THen we could go after somebody like Sean Williams at 22. or pick up a big in free agency.[Edited on June 21, 2007 at 12:57 PM. Reason : .]

no Nick Young unless we are trading down to get himWe can move these picks, we have our last 4 lottery guys, and two of them are legit starters on any team. Ammo cant find his shot most of the time, and May could be damn good if he stays healthy.Mj just try doing this, in this orderCall Gforce and tell him why he should be loyal to us for resurecting the career of a guy thats only 24 and that he shouldnt burden us for anything more than a midlevel offer.Explore Gasol if offeredcall Rashards agent and tell him 6 years 60 milliongive New Jersey a callgive LA a call for shits and gigglescall the Clippers and see how cheap we can get SpagettiAsk about Grant HillDraft Day take Brewer if there at 8If not take Noah, im beginning to see this guy and he personality might be what we needAt 22 take Morris AlmondIf a few of those could happen, welcome to the playoffs in 2008

^ I like all of that but NBA players usually only have to chances to cash in on big contracts and this is Wallace's chance. Unlike NFL contracts, in the NBA the big number matters. I don't expect him to be cheap. I am starting to warm up to the idea of Noah too. I don't think Brewer will still be there at 8. Noah doesn't seem to do anything really well, but he seems to be decent at a lot of parts of the game. and size does matter.I agree about Nick Young not quite being worth an 8 pick, but he'll be gone at 22. But he just seems like the exact player the team is looking for next to Felton....Besides Brewer.

60 million for 6 years won't even sniff Rashard Lewis...You have to realize that Bill Simmons is just a fan, not a guruI don't think Lewis is worth more than that, but he'll probably get a Larry Hughes type deal...70 for 5And Gerald Wallace wouldn't even wipe his ass with a midlevel offerI say offer Wallace the 60/6...He's 3 years younger than Lewis and is only getting betterHe's 6 years and in the league and only 1 year older than Al Thornton

^^ nah, he's a guru. He definitely knows as much about the current NBA, its history, and cap situations as anyone else that writes on the subject... He does a great job at putting into perspective what others fail to do.G.Wallace is legitimately worth $10/million per season he's that good of a player. And since players go to the highest bidder then his "market value" should be in the ~$12 million range.Rashard Lewis is legitimately worth about $11 million per season and will likely get damn close to the max.Thats why G Wallace is a better value signing than Lewis.Midlevel offers (we don't even have one to give as of now) would be a slap in the face to G.Wallace[Edited on June 21, 2007 at 6:35 PM. hell yeah Id make that tradewe can get Sean Williams from BC with itDO It
6/26/2007 11:02:51 AM
Nachbars good but it seemed he stepped out of bounds every 5 minutesEvery nets playoff game I watched he would step out of the corner every time he tried to shoot a 3the announcers were all on his jock, especially Matt Devlin, who's probably scheming to pull a Seung-Hui Cho at a Bobcats game next year

you're such a nerdyou watching the draft on the new hugemongous tv?
6/26/2007 11:46:42 AM
you god damn rightim ready for it, this draft is large, larger than the Felton/May draftoh yeah im a free man after Friday, I get laid off
6/26/2007 11:52:07 AM
i wish i could get up there midweek to watch it on that movie screen of yours, damn thursday nightswe're gonna have to figure something out soon, i need to get the hell outta this city on weekendsand i'm really hoping we trade this pick, preferably somehow combined with another pick/someone else for gasol if he's still available at the time
6/26/2007 12:36:37 PM
probably watch the draft at uptown Graduate in Charlotte...watched the last couple lotteries there
6/26/2007 12:40:03 PM
i would shit all over the place for Gasoltrade May for Nachbar and the #17 pickmove the #8, #17, #22, and Primoz Brezec for Gasoli mean in this draft that could get them Conley, Sean Williams, and someone like Morris Almondand we didnt really lose anything and we gat an all star
6/26/2007 12:41:32 PM
6/26/2007 3:22:53 PM
damn fuck shit....hopefully we can convince him to stay
6/26/2007 3:26:17 PM
well we knew he was going to at least do that muchthey should be able to keep himi dont see why hes not worth 10-11 mill for 5-6 yearsthey will fix this, Bernie and Gforce have a pretty good relationship
6/26/2007 3:28:18 PM
hopefully we can resign Wallace quickly. 6 years and $60 million is about what he is worth right now, BUT if he can get significantly more than that somewhere else and he takes it, it might set the franchise back a few years. also, I'd like to have Gasol too, but I don't think he's worth a role player/unfortunate starter (Brezec) and three draft picks (in this of all drafts).
6/26/2007 3:47:25 PM
I do. I think Gasol and Okafor would compliment each other perfectly -- not to mention open up the outside for our Carroll, Hermann, Morrison. We've got great role players on this team ... we just need THAT guy.
6/26/2007 4:30:30 PM
6/26/2007 6:31:58 PM
In hindsight, even thought it would have been a huge gamble at the time, if we had offered him say a 6 year, 40 million deal a few years ago, we'd look like geniuses now.
6/26/2007 8:16:13 PM
i think the bobcats should jump at the 17 pick and whomever for may. may never really fit in with us and has been hurt both seasons. having the 8, 17, and 22 would be crucial. get brewer at 8 and maybe trade 17 and 22 and bench players to move up and get noah, wright, etc.
6/26/2007 8:38:04 PM
if we do something big thursday i might shat all over the place
6/26/2007 9:30:30 PM
oh shit
6/27/2007 9:46:27 AM
Gimme dude right here
6/27/2007 9:54:11 AM
yeah no shitId take him, but we need something elsewe have to try and equal value Corey Brewer or joakim Noah in this tradeand weve got to be sure to resign Gforce, that cant be said enough
6/27/2007 9:57:02 AM
Suns are wanting to trade Marcus Banks and Boris Diaw Both have shit contracts and we shouldn't take either one; it would undermine what we've been trying to do for the past 3 yearsSuns have 3 huge contracts in Nash, Marion and Amare that they won't be able to afford Barbosa even if they trade one of the big 3With him and Felton we'd have the fastest backcourt in the world, and he's big enough to play the the 2 guard vs. most players
6/27/2007 10:02:22 AM
weve got a chance to be straight up mean next year if we make the right decisions in the next few days
6/27/2007 10:05:36 AM
yeah but this doesn't seem like one of those right decisions to me
6/27/2007 10:07:56 AM
sign me up for the barbosa bandwagon too, the guy is just waiting for his chance to really explode
6/27/2007 10:08:21 AM
I guessed we dropped the whole Gasol thingit would have been too easyso what if we trade our pick for Barbosa and then cant resign Wallacehang it up for next year
6/27/2007 10:14:36 AM
I feel confident we'll resign Wallace.Only a few teams have considerable cap space, and we have his Bird rights, which is crucial.
6/27/2007 10:16:44 AM
explain the Bird rights to meand I think May can be really good but trading him for a 17 pick and possibly Nachbar, I just dont know why nothe had better stay on the court this year, and I feel certain if he does we will all be surprised
