Hanson does look like a douche, or a pretty-boy. Glennon just looks like Opie.

glennon will put some meat on his bones and be disgusting...i like tall long armed quarterbacks...they can usually gun the hell out of it A LA Ken Dorsey when he was at Miami[Edited on June 28, 2007 at 5:59 PM. Reason : a]

Speaking of Glennon ... This dude is for real.http://rivals100.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?Sport=1&pr_key=58084Check out the top video. I know it's a highlight reel, but DAMN he puts the ball right on the money.
6/28/2007 10:38:27 PM
i left my chat thing running while i had stuff to do so i could come back and read it but after a certain amount of time it starts deleting the old parts of the chat so i basically missed the whole chat.THe Manning info was a/b the same of what we heard but i'll just say that the general vibes are

6/28/2007 10:43:24 PM
im jacked about glennon....that highlight film up there was beautiful. FWIW, MillerSafrit on scout said that after they got glennons film at scout that it would only be a matter of time before he was a 4*. Shove that up your ass Braden Hanson
6/28/2007 11:58:08 PM
miller is a fag...or at least some will have you believe thatand for the record, these players will drop an average of 2 stars before the end of next week. [Edited on June 29, 2007 at 12:19 AM. Reason : ]
6/29/2007 12:18:55 AM
^wrong. Glennon will actually gain a star.....Mario Carter just went from unranked to 3*'s. Your boy Miller was actually the one that rated Charest(who we were thinkin of offering) ahead of Hanson(who is UNC's to lose). So everyone who thinks he is "pro-unc" should drop that shit
6/29/2007 1:00:37 AM
yet another commit...William Beasley to the PACK!Once Manning commits...I mean wow, that is one hell of a LB class...[Edited on June 29, 2007 at 7:18 AM. Reason : this is someone our staff really wanted]
6/29/2007 7:16:08 AM
^ you make it sound like it's a done deal. It isn't right? Also, who the hell is Beasley?
6/29/2007 9:39:28 AM
i think we have a nice lead but calling it a done deal just might make u kill yourself if Manning doesnt come here
6/29/2007 9:50:15 AM
obviously not a done deal...none of these are until the paper is signed.
6/29/2007 10:01:38 AM
Beasley is a pretty big pickup. Supposedly Miller was pretty impressed with his film....which usually means atleast a 3*....he said he showed great speed and technique in tackling combined with ability to get to the ball.
6/29/2007 11:30:06 AM
^^^^all you need to know about beasley is that he is a BEAST, on the 4A all-state squad in florida. 225 lb, 4.6 40, 305 bench pressdo you guys that have seen video on him think he could be ready to start freshman year? or is that a really big stretch?[Edited on June 29, 2007 at 12:18 PM. 6/29/2007 12:18:18 PM
unless our current LBs grow up alot this year, we may need to start a true freshman in 08[Edited on June 29, 2007 at 12:22 PM. Reason : ]

Who is Barnes talking about when he says 'other guys are coming' in that pack pride article?
6/29/2007 1:17:37 PM
^^LeRue Rumph, James Martin, and Earnest Jones should go in as starters....all 3 are seniors. I think we will be okay as long as Martin is healthy this year.
6/29/2007 1:34:26 PM
^^he just says that other guys are coming...no specific names
6/29/2007 2:23:52 PM
Tobias Palmer gets bumped up to 3* on Scout....so here are our rankings at the moment:Scout:5* - 04* - 13* - 42* - 11* - 2Rivals:5* - 14* - 13* - 22* - 31* - 1
6/29/2007 11:54:17 PM
^ let's combine the two shall we, using only the more favorable rankings. 5* - 14* - 13* - 32* - 21* - 1Come on Manning and Whitley, you know you want to be playing in front of the best football fans in the state, in the best stadium not named Bank of America Stadium in the state. So go ahead and pick up the phone and give Tom O'Brien a call to let him know you will be sporting the red and white for your college career.

Glennon's 40 time scares me a lil bit.....I just hope that he is semi mobile in the pocket. But then again there was Rivers who really had no ability to scramble but had that rocket
6/30/2007 3:17:23 AM
first thought on clicking the glennon link was "albino" ... looks like the cracka can throw though, some very good and a lil bit crazy passes..the 40 isn't the best but to be honest... it could def be worse... a decent o-line and he'll b okay, i just don't see him makin a lot of 20 yard keepers
6/30/2007 4:22:46 AM
if you're worried about Glennon's 40 time, just go to rivals.com and take a look at his videos. You won't be worried anymore
6/30/2007 7:06:08 AM
why wont rivals.com work for me? anyone else have the same problem?
6/30/2007 7:12:56 AM
Just watched the highlight reel they had and he moved well enough, got out of the pocket well on the roll outs. But he showed he had a tendency to under-throw the WR just a bit, but hopefully the coaches can work with his timing and get that cleared up.
6/30/2007 9:52:46 AM

6/30/2007 10:34:26 AM
Glennons 40 time is irrelevant. How fast do you think rivers' was??? How fast do u think Peytons, or Brady's, or Drew brees' is??? Those are the best QB's in the NFL, and all of them are either slower or have a comparable 40 to glennon. Id rather have a QB with pocket presence that can lead us with his arm, than a QB that scrambles all the time
6/30/2007 11:00:45 AM
I'm a little worried about the bench press of our kicker -- he can't even bench 200
6/30/2007 12:15:20 PM
The kid's video does look good, but damn he looks like a kid still. Maybe Red Tom will have some kind of hormone inducing supplements fed to him every day until he starts as a true frosh....^Kicker's don't need arms, do they?[Edited on June 30, 2007 at 12:30 PM. Reason : a r m]

i'm so impressed by TOB and the staff getting out there and landing these commits early...Rivals.com has us at #28 recruiting class in the country so far, and that will be rising likely to a top20 recruiting class.its good to see that we're gaining ground
6/30/2007 1:26:05 PM
^^^ I see what you did there.
6/30/2007 2:14:07 PM
safe to say that at this point recruiting is far and away better than what i had expected. maybe it'll stay like this, maybe it won't, but i've been very pleasantly surprised.
6/30/2007 7:45:29 PM
William Beasley moves up to 3* on Scout......told you guys that was comin. So on scout that makes:5* - 04* - 13* - 52* - 11* - 1The Glennon 3* will change to a 4* whenever scout gets his film...and i think it will be hard for Scout to keep TJ Graham under 3*....but still.....HELL of a start by the staff.....
7/1/2007 1:15:52 PM
Wolff will move up to a 2* maybe even a 3* once they evaluate him. Glennon is definitely a 4*, and I don't know why Rivals has Barnes as a 5* and Scout has him only as a 4*. Pete Carroll thinks he could be the next Reggie Bush of college football.
7/1/2007 3:59:36 PM
these last few weeks have spoiled usi get sad everytime i click on to packpride or the wolfpacker and dont see a commitment to us
7/1/2007 5:24:19 PM
^haha, no kiddin. I keep telling myself that we won't hear anything from anyone till Manning and Whitley speaks close to the end of july. After that flurry of commits, its hard to sit back and not see anything happening
7/1/2007 5:27:03 PM
for some reason i think something could bust early this week with Manning
7/1/2007 5:45:48 PM
^just intuition? or somethin more

this will keep you busy for a minute while waiting for more recruits....http://www.newsobserver.com/sports/story/622909.htmlmore good media for TOB

summers are normally boring though until august when practice tidbits come outthe last time i remember being excited in football around summer time was when the whole deal with Bobby Washington came up where it was like "he's prolly coming", then it was "he'll more than likely end up at Miami", then finally he was picked up at the airport by Stephen Tullochthat was a fun few days

a good read from rivals...we're getting greeaaaat exposure North Carolina State's recent run of recruiting success has definitely gotten the attention of football recruiting analysts. Two analysts from Rivals.com — Mike Farrell and JC Shurburtt — both admitted they are surprised by what new NCSU coach Tom O'Brien and his staff have achieved. Brandon Barnes created big waves in the recruiting world when he selected NC State this past week. The Wolfpack have locked up eight commitments with six occurring in the last two weeks. With big-name players such as running back/defensive back Brandon Barnes and quarterback Mike Glennon committing this past week, the Wolfpack are potentially putting together a top 25 class."It is surprising because I thought it would take a while for them to get up to speed, and build the relationships" Farrell said. "It's a good year because everything is different. UNC has a new coach, Clemson has done well recently and Florida has come up and stolen some kids."Not coincidentally, the recent wave of commitments has occurred following NC State's two football camps."The camps were always a time when the Boston College coaches, as they are doing now, would utilize it as a chance to get a bunch of commitments," Farrell said. "They like to go into the football season with half of their commitments on board. They are really taking advantage of it this year with a higher level of athlete."Taking control of the state is the perhaps the biggest surprise of the quick start. North Carolina coach Butch Davis and defensive line coach John Blake are both nationally known for their recruiting abilities, but O'Brien has made more of an impact among North Carolina prep coaches."I thought it would put NC State in a precarious situation because of the momentum of the Butch Davis hire," Shurburtt said. "Well, come to find out that these guys from NC State are very good recruiters as well. It probably shouldn't be a surprise because they have been great football coaches for a long time and together for a long time."North Carolina has produced better prep talent in past years, but the Wolfpack's in-state success has a certain symbolism to it."If you look at who NC State has gotten and who they are leading for, are the guys you want to get," Shurburtt said. "Brandon Barnes is by far the best player in North Carolina, and Terrell Manning is good, but then it is sort of a drop off from there."O'Brien and staff have always enjoyed a great reputation for unearthing hidden talent, but the move to Raleigh, has helped them reinvent themselves."When coach O'Brien and his staff first got hired, I figured they would recruit under the radar like they did at Boston College," Shurburtt said. "Have excellent player development and game planning, and win football games that way."Farrell said the next step is to get off to a solid start on the football field, which will help ensure the commitments will stay committed. It helps to sell NC State when you haven't lost a game yet."People won't stop recruiting Brandon Barnes, and if Terrell Manning does commit over the next few weeks, big-time schools will still be on those guys," Farrell said. "If they have an OK season or are better than expected season, it will help keep those kids."
