if you havent heard it yet, download Frog Eyes - Bushels. Great song. My favorite Mercer vocal performance ever. And the Xiu Xiu - Ceremony cover is excellent. Best cover i've heard in forever.[Edited on March 28, 2007 at 12:36 AM. Reason : ...]

This Field disk is pretty good. Deserving of the hype. So far I can pick out the samples of "A Paw In My Face" to Lionel Richie's "Hello" and "Mobilia" to Bruce Springsteen's "Streets of Philadephia."
3/28/2007 10:06:40 AM
so nobody has that new panda bear to share???
3/28/2007 3:04:46 PM
i'm not sure why the new panda bear is being hyped so much. there's a couple of good songs, but all his vocals sound like he's singing in the back of a cathedral.
3/28/2007 5:02:19 PM
its a pretty good album overall.......comfy in nautica and bros are definitely the standouts
3/28/2007 6:03:35 PM

The new Modest Mouse CD is really good if you like their style of tunage. We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank.
3/28/2007 10:01:15 PM
don't come here often? didn't think so.
3/28/2007 10:03:48 PM
OH SNAP!anyways, the Flaming Lips are appearing on the Spiderman 3 soundtrack with a song titled "Spiderman vs. Muhammad Ali." There's no way it can live up to that hype.
3/28/2007 10:26:00 PM
i do not believe you

hook me up w/ that explosions in the sky
4/4/2007 10:56:57 AM
i agree with your scale, except you need to put Bright Eyes in the 4 or 5.
4/4/2007 11:38:12 AM
I've got it and Wilco in my car right now.
4/4/2007 12:52:15 PM
personally i'd put shins a little higher on that scale.i really need to listen that wilco album.i've had it on my comp for a week now.
4/4/2007 12:53:34 PM
id agree with your rankingswith the wilco and be both at 4[Edited on April 4, 2007 at 1:00 PM. Reason : e]
4/4/2007 1:00:11 PM
Ive been sittin on Wilco and Blonde Redhead for awhile now. I got hooked on Andrew Bird for the longest time.
4/4/2007 1:02:09 PM
^yeah, I really dig that blonde redhead album. New Wilco is definitely a summerteeth type throwback, which I like. I keep going back to the Good, The Bad and the Queen album too. Damon Albarn writes some pretty fucking awesome pop songs. And even though it isn't 2007, that mates of state is so good.
4/4/2007 2:05:34 PM
i'm not sure how i like the blonde redhead, except the song "23" is really good.
4/4/2007 2:45:23 PM
The blonde redhead took a while for me to digestafter letting it settle for a bit, i gave it another listen, and if i was constructing this list, the rank would have changed after going back to itprobably up at least 2 ranks[Edited on April 4, 2007 at 2:53 PM. Reason : e]
