Transformers was paced so fast you didnt even have a chance to think let alone judge it during the first veiwing.
5/2/2008 4:25:06 PM

5/2/2008 4:26:19 PM

5/2/2008 4:30:49 PM
i thought transformers was better.iron man was boring to me. I fell asleep twice and it was a little corny. Granted, i never got into the comics with this one.also, who was shrill at the end?

5/2/2008 4:51:42 PM
^ yeah my wife was like, there's no extra scene, you are just making shit up...lol
5/2/2008 6:35:30 PM

5/2/2008 6:51:54 PM
DONT RUIN THIS FOR THEMTHEY NEED THISTHEY HAVE NO BOOBS TO PLAY WITH
5/2/2008 7:03:39 PM

5/2/2008 7:35:37 PM
anywhere else that extra scene is located? I should of known better
5/2/2008 8:58:03 PM
Just got back from this, and it did not disappoint in the slightest. It lived up to all the hype imo (of course, I initially thought Hitman was good (before turning my brain on and coming to my senses), so maybe I'm not very hard to please ). The comedy was a little corny, but it was handled just right. I'm not really well-rehearsed in the Iron Man mythos (the only thing I knew they got wrong was Jarvis being a computer instead of a person, but that was handled really well), but I thought all of the characters were handled perfectly. I give this movie a solid 10/10.
5/2/2008 9:33:22 PM
and you sir, are very easy to please...
5/2/2008 9:38:19 PM
best Marvel movie so far[Edited on May 2, 2008 at 9:56 PM. Reason : by far and away, really]
5/2/2008 9:53:17 PM
^agreed
5/2/2008 9:57:47 PM
i'm just curious what you guys liked about this. not trying to troll. i mean it was...ok, i guess, for what it was, but saying it's the best marvel movie to the xmens or even the first spider man seems like a huge stretch...prolly even sarcasm...
5/2/2008 10:12:54 PM
this movie was money. downey was perfect for that character. the dialog was snappy and smart, and i really enjoyed the dramatic buildup before he actually put on the suit. i barely caught a whiff of "cheese", which was sort of unavoidable during the final CGI showdown.
5/2/2008 10:46:58 PM
the only thing i didn't like was the cheesy shit with the robotic arms and him acting like they were his petsi mean really, artificial intelligence isn't that good yet. it didn't make sense to me
5/2/2008 11:18:39 PM
^A hand-held device that can generate 2 GJ/s of energy (or whatever the number was) doesn't make any sense either. A metal suit of that size can't possibly store enough fuel within itself for flights of that length and speed. But this is the Marvel universe, we simply accept that their science and technology, while similar to our own, is light years ahead in some areas. It's the same reason we accept that guys can shoot webs out of their hands, or set themselves on fire at will, or turn green and grow to humongous sizes without regard for conservation of mass.
5/2/2008 11:25:45 PM
I absolutely loved this movie and can't wait to go see it again. My only nitpick was about wanting more of an explanation of where the materials came from to build the armor suits. Aside from that, I'd say this is my favorite Marvel movie to date.
5/2/2008 11:53:42 PM
whats there to explain, it was a gold titanium alloy.
5/3/2008 12:08:44 AM
5/3/2008 12:36:04 AM
^pretty much, this was much, much, MUCH better than any of the xmen or spiderman movies

5/3/2008 2:46:21 AM

5/3/2008 2:48:05 AM
free comic book day is today, i bet they'll give out some iron man comics or materials with the release of this movie happening around the same time
5/3/2008 6:48:51 AM
I liked the movie. I didn't like any of the Spider Man movies, I just think they are way too sappy. I liked the X Men movies somewhat more, but was still disappointed. X3 was the best of the bunch, in my mind. The first FF was way too slow paced, as most origin stories are, and I haven't seen the second one yet.I liked the fact that it got started quickly and kept moving throughout. Although it was two hours, it felt very well paced. They sufficiently developed almost every area of things so that I didn't feel too much was underdeveloped. I thought RD, Jr. was a great character, capturing the playboy essence in a way that none of the Batmans have, and yet we also bought him as a supergenius.I could have done with some slightly better fight sequences, but other than that the movie was very solid, and I look forward to a sequel.
5/3/2008 10:11:54 AM
i think it was great. i think it the rave reviews have to do with it being one of the most feasible marvel comics. we really don't know what the government is working on as far as weapons, power and a.i. so it's not a super stretch for a billionaire genius to build a suit to fight crime, especially compared to some dude with claws and a metal skeleton or someone shooting death rays from their eyes. my gf loved it and she wasn't a fan of any other marvel movie. iron man has always been one of my favorite heros so i'm a little biased.
5/3/2008 11:21:17 AM
Going in with zero expectations and little background knowledge on the traditional story, I was really pleased with the movie. It was better than any of the Spiderman movies, by far. Even 90% of the cheese was actually kinda funny instead of eye-rollingly lame. The scene in the jet with the sake had me rofling. My only problem with cheese were the dialogue during the final fight. Fucking lame. Anyone know where I can see the scene after the credits online? I missed it.
5/3/2008 11:25:15 AM
nope, you blew it.
5/3/2008 11:28:43 AM
^^ fail
5/3/2008 11:31:27 AM
The product placement was amazing! I think I'll go buy Burger King and an Audi now!!!
5/3/2008 11:47:38 AM
the product placement was unobtrusive
5/3/2008 11:54:48 AM
the product placement was fine. i'd rather them have real names than fake stuff like "burger zing" and "oldi"and i agree about the final battle dialogue being lame.. odamiah's voice was annoying
5/3/2008 11:58:23 AM
if by unobtrusive you mean painfully obvious, you're correct sir.[Edited on May 3, 2008 at 12:05 PM. Reason : d]

5/3/2008 12:04:03 PM
that outfit is too flamboyant for me.
5/3/2008 12:06:16 PM
The only ad placement that stood out to me was the Burger King one, and even that wasn't nearly as in-your-face as the advertisements in Transformers.
5/3/2008 12:53:15 PM
5/3/2008 3:03:16 PM
no product placement will ever be as obtrusive as pepsi one in michel almeyreda's hamlet
5/3/2008 3:19:28 PM
i ended up getting a double whopper meal afterwards.it was delicious.good job, iron man.
