they are using some sort of sweat-proof ink
9/30/2006 11:07:54 AM
^^and they don't expect you to have the stamp on your hand after hours of drinking...presumably you would have had hours of drinking before getting the stampbut this is the same ink they use in carmichael, where it won't come off when you're in the pool or shower
9/30/2006 12:03:13 PM
word
9/30/2006 12:29:40 PM
so how much are they saving by not printing these tickets?
9/30/2006 1:32:58 PM
it must be an environmentalist's nightmarebig rich folk save money by not using as much paperthousands of students using a sheet of paper 4 times as big as original ticket size
9/30/2006 1:35:42 PM
yeah plus i'm sure it costs money to set up special student gates and pay event one to stand there and scan our tickets.factoring in all costs, i can't see how it can really be THAT much cheaper than just letting us register for tickets online, and pick up real tickets at reynolds. they could just scan our ID's at the window to see if we won or not, and then give us a ticket.it's still better for them than the old way because they don't have to print vouchers. and then we can just take the real tickets and go in any gate just like anyone else, and they don't have to worry about manning special student gates with scanners.
9/30/2006 1:39:41 PM
^ FTW.
9/30/2006 1:43:56 PM
all gates will be scanned gates within 2 years...ALL tickets will have a barcode
9/30/2006 1:55:02 PM
^ really? now thats just retarded
9/30/2006 1:56:39 PM
not really...as far as security goes, it how most stadiums around the country and planning to move within the next 5 years...and a lot of bball arenas already do it (RBC does it for any other event)
9/30/2006 2:04:01 PM
9/30/2006 2:20:19 PM
you won't really need a ticket....I don't know why they are saying that, because that isn't really necessary...just put the ticket in your pocket and the stamp should be fine
9/30/2006 2:48:33 PM
look, updating technology and making things MORE complicated is NOT the answer. the answer is to bring back the system that WORKED.
9/30/2006 5:35:03 PM
and the illusion is you all think the old system worked....it didn't...we had problems, we just didnt' publish them in the technicianbut the old system was far from being perfect, or even good
9/30/2006 6:21:10 PM
no way. there were never as many problems with real tickets as there are with this damn system. in the end, it's all about getting people into the stadium fairly and painlessly on gameday. the old system did that MUCH better than any of this online shit.
9/30/2006 6:25:50 PM
From what I've seen, the online system puts more fans in the stands unlike the old system.
9/30/2006 6:27:50 PM
9/30/2006 6:28:34 PM
9/30/2006 6:58:19 PM
he was responding to what smath said.
9/30/2006 7:02:10 PM
how was it not fair compared to the current system?
9/30/2006 7:20:32 PM
9/30/2006 7:22:47 PM
considering you had people stealing tons of vouchers, I wouldn't necessarily call that fair.
9/30/2006 7:24:53 PM
9/30/2006 8:36:55 PM
omg omg omg when i click claim ticket it takes me to the claim ticket screen and wont let me do anything? what is going on?

10/1/2006 10:34:00 AM
haha, at least i'm not a homo who has to go to point events
10/1/2006 10:39:18 AM
Like hcnguyen the same thing happened to me. If it says to claim your ticket, doesn't it mean you should have one waiting for you under "Your tickets?"
10/1/2006 10:39:30 AM
I have season tickets now, so I don't go to point events anymore. But point events are a small price to pay for better seats, real tickets, an assigned seat, and none of the at the gate hassels.
10/1/2006 10:43:46 AM
This is the 2nd Claim period. If you won in claim 1 and didn't claim, you're screwed. Make sure you're using IE. If you click on Claim Ticket and get
10/1/2006 10:45:06 AM

10/1/2006 3:32:27 PM

10/1/2006 3:48:01 PM
