the mountain kinda ruins it for me, but whatever
6/11/2006 3:17:34 AM
for one thing, Frasier was just another idiot from Boston.and no one in seattle watched that stupid show. it was like what people in new york *thought* seattle was (or should be) like.for one thing people in seattle dont sit around in posh downtown apartmnets all day whining about stupid shit.we go mountain hiking or sea kayaking or drinking at local music venues. or all of the above. all in the same day.

and see at that ice on top of that volcano? when it erupts, that shit is going to melt, mix with ash and other debris, and come barrel-assing down the slopes and hit the river channels and could possibly devastate seattle.
6/11/2006 3:31:43 AM
yeah thats totally not like seattleif frasier were really from there he'd sit in traffic for 2 hours in the rain before grabbing a 15 dollar coffee on the way up to watch the clock in his cubicle until 5 when he gets to sit in traffic for another 2 hours, still raining, before making it home just in time for a bit of buttsex with his life partner, robb

6/11/2006 8:08:00 AM

6/11/2006 11:16:05 AM
All 3 of those are incredibly shitty skylines compared to a real city.. But who cares? A good skyline doesn't make a city...I like this skyline far better then Charlotte but the city is shit to me.. Louisville[Edited on June 11, 2006 at 11:23 AM. Reason : x]

Don't you know that the only real cities are NYC, Chicago and LA?All the other ones are fake cities.

of course i knew thateverybody knows thatyou think i didn't know that?your mom's a whore

I think most would agree that Charlotte has a better skyline than Louisville. Louisville has the riverfront, which would be a big advantage, but there are less and smaller buildings. In other news, to humor the people calling me lazy, I measured the distance from the brickyard to Glenwood South. It's 1.5 miles, just to Glenwood South. That means 3 miles round-trip. It's bikable, but not walkable. If you want to go to Fayetteville Street, it's a little over 2 miles. This is also bikable, but not walkable. If you want to go to the Progress Energy Center or Lincoln Theatre, it's 2.5 miles. What we get is something that's much easier to drive to than walk to. Yes, I'm aware it's a 5-minute drive there and back, tops. I was remarking that ideally, we would be able to walk it in 5 minutes, as opposed to having to drive.

Cary has a higher elevation than Raleigh. I say we use that and build a mountain there. Mountains are pretty.
6/11/2006 12:19:36 PM

that's san fran isn't it? I can tell because of grand theft auto.
6/11/2006 8:33:30 PM
yeah, you can tell from the oakland bay bridge and the triangular-ish building.i was just in that area last week. it is an amazing city. very beautiful. but most of that has to do with the hills and the water. no amount of city planning can move your city to a bay.[Edited on June 12, 2006 at 5:01 PM. interesting thread google images notwithstanding...In a big city, everyone constantly talks about the city itself. Almost no one in Raleigh talks about Raleigh on a daily basis. It's just another issue that is painfully revisited from time to time like global warming.
