Favorite characters?Mine by far is Omar...because while he is ghetto as hell, the show parallels his moves to the "upper class" - not to mention he is a badasswhere are ya'll seeing the future episodes? dl'ing them?

nothin beats season 1 where he cleared the streets whistling and walking around with a shotgunlike a hood urban legend....or would that be an urban urban legend?

i just started watching this season so I know ive missed alot but is Omar gay?
11/22/2006 2:16:36 PM
the show parallels omar's (and others) actions to those of the upper classfor example, in an earlier season where omar was on the stand and he noted the similarity between him robbing drug dealers and the lawyer representing them...both making money off the drug trade
11/22/2006 2:35:42 PM
11/22/2006 3:20:02 PM
Bubbles bout to turn into residue
11/22/2006 3:54:05 PM
you may not have ever noticed, but omar never uses profanity.

11/29/2006 10:34:23 AM
****SPOILER ALERT*****yeah when the opening scene came on i was thinking there's no way....chris is going to take up for michael, they've got to be fuckign around....those have to be airsoft or something....i was mostly clued in because you never saw chris and snoop move like that...covering eachother. they just walk up and BLAO to the wafflepiece and then drag em to the vacants.....and then the paint started flying.
11/29/2006 10:38:05 AM
OH WOW YOU WERE SO SMART FOR FIGURING THAT ONE OUT
11/29/2006 12:17:00 PM
eat a dick rwoddyit was obviously filmed that way to make you wonder if not for a split second atleastyou're going to tell me that the end of the previous show when marlo tells chris about mike sticking up for him that you didn't even consider it? if that's the case you're fucking braindead, b
11/29/2006 12:21:13 PM
ill give you a split second, no longer though
11/29/2006 12:23:35 PM
I cant believe the season finale...Omar proposes marriage to Carcetti and the mayor accepts? Wow
11/29/2006 12:42:41 PM
^ you left out the part where omar agrees to fund the baltimore schools with drug money from stick ups
11/29/2006 1:18:30 PM
Butch becomes superintendent of schools!!!!!because they're fucked already, why not have a blind guy running them tooooooo
11/29/2006 1:41:15 PM
this just in marlo stanfeild opens a charity home called the randy wagstaff home for burnt up foster moms. in turn the mayor nominates them both for the "least blackest names ever" award.
11/29/2006 2:59:02 PM
i love the whole old school/new era angle with cutty storyline, and the culmination on the corner confronting michael...damn the game left his ass behind
11/29/2006 3:59:55 PM
huh? who the fuck is cutty anyhow. i thought she was dr houses bosslady.and the game hasnt been on the show all season. method man was.
11/29/2006 4:13:43 PM
cutty is the boxing coach manyour shit is weakat least check imdb before saying some shit like that
11/29/2006 4:16:15 PM
jesus you though all that was serious huh.
11/29/2006 4:17:48 PM
it reminded me of that world series of dice skitwhere the announcer is like "ohhh he went below the waist so it's only attempted murder! smart move!"hahahaha but then i was like, damn, cutty got got yohe always makes the most unintentionally hilarious faces when he's close to the camera...anyone else ever notice that?like, the scene when he is about to shoot fruit and he doesnt, and then he gives the gun back to avon and is like *bug eyed* "I CAINT DO IT YO"his face was hysterical lookingsame as when he walked up to mike on the corner[Edited on November 29, 2006 at 4:19 PM. 12/1/2006 2:32:11 PM

Reason : .]
12/1/2006 3:21:17 PM
it was funny when lex dropped fruit though...because right after he did it he was like "Sup Keisha" or whoever, as if he hadnt just shot some dude in the head within 2 feet of her
12/1/2006 5:00:18 PM

governor ehrlich made a cameo in the last episode.
12/4/2006 9:09:51 AM
I missed that where was he?
12/4/2006 4:45:19 PM
well, i didnt mean the "last" episode...i meant the last episode they aired....so i guess the 2nd to last episode (#49).when carcetti and wilson are about to leave the state house because theyre sick of waiting for the governor, hes the guard that says "the governor just called down, he will see you now" right before they walk out the door.

http://www.slate.com/id/2154694fantastic piece from Slate, interviewing David Simonyou should all do yourselves the service of reading it in its entirety
12/6/2006 11:34:23 AM
ive said it before, but ill say it again. the "real life" detail they put in the this show is amazing...and actually mirrors baltimore.baltimore has gone through all the major events of this season...from a white mayor winning and his conflicts with a republican governor, the black female city council president (who incedently just took over baltimore when that same white mayor (o'malley) won the governor race...another situation brought up in the wire) to the drug scene, to the major problems with the schools, the gentrification of the city and its effect on local blue collar workers (from season two). hell, even the bumper stickers they have hanging up in the police hqs is whats all over the city.the attention to detail is outstanding.[Edited on December 6, 2006 at 12:24 PM.
