yeah it was cold in there

I don't know the setlist but

Casmir Pulaski Day
Chicago
Come on! Feel the Illinoise!
Jacksonville
John Wayne Gacy
Detroit
A christmas song called "The Worst Christmas Ever"
a couple awesome songs about birds
and there are others I'm forgetting...

It was amazing, and My Brightest Diamond rocked too

Am I really that out of it? I could've sworn he didn't play this one.

No shit- I wish I hadn't worn sandals. I think I saw you way down there next to Erin, though.

To add to that list:

All the Trees of the Field Will Clap Their Hands

Encores:
To Be Alone with you
They Are Night Zombies!! They Are Neighbors!! They Have Come back from the Dead!! Ahhhh!

Yeah, that was me.

But seriously, there were vents under the seats that were blowing cold air. I'm not one to get cold, but god damn, I was in pain.

I thought My Brightest Diamond sucked, by the way. Horribly.

I agree. Except for that short Bill Withers cover. That was sorta cute.

From Seven Swans:
To Be Alone With You (encore)
All The Trees Of The Field Will Clap Their Hands (played after the opening instrumental)

From Michigan:
Oh Detroit, Lift Up Your Weary Head

From Illinois:
John Wayne Gacy, Jr.
Jacksonville
Casimir Pulaski Day
Chicago
They Are Night Zombies (encore)

From Avalanche:
An Overture to My Supercomputer

New (I haven't heard before):
The Lord God Bird (he said this is after he heard about a recently discovered giant woodpecker bird on NPR and the title comes from what someone would say when they saw it: 'oh lord god that's a big bird')
Her Majesty Snowbird (Sufjan said that he has taken up an interest in birdwatching)
My Worst Christmas Ever (an original Christmas song, quite funny)

There might be a few I'm missing. It was a nice evening.

"The Worst Christmas Ever!" is on the third volume of the Christmas albums (Hark! Songs For Christmas Volume 3), all of which are easily available on the internets. I would highly recommend getting "Come On! Let's Boogey to the Elf Dance!", as it kicks a large amount of ass.

He also played The Mistress Witch from McClure (or, The Mind That Knows Itself) from The Avalanche

It was so cold in there and i didnt even see the vents under each chair until after the show.

actually, after the first instrumental when he took stage, 'sister' from seven swans was performed first.

and he didn't play 'come on! feel the illinoise!" i am pretty sure you are confusing that with 'they are night zombies!! they are neighbors!" because of the spelling i-l-l-i-n-o-i-s in the lyrics.

Awesome show, despite the chill. Here is the setlist, as I remember it. Order might be a bit off, but this is pretty close. My brightest diamond, which was also part of his band, was mediocre, except for the "Use Me" cover, which kicked ass.

Setlist:

Sister
All the Trees
Detroit
Mistress Witch From Mcclure
Lord God Bird
Supercomputer
John Wayne Gacy
Majesty Snowbird
Jacksonville
Worst Christmas Ever
Casimir Pulaski Day
Chicago

Encore:
They are Night Zombies
To Be Alone with You

The show was a huge success in my opinion, including being an excellent aphro.

I was in shorts and a t shirt and never noticed the a/c.

Those videos were pretty awesome, especially the one that played during Jacksonville.

The show was so much better than I was anticipating. I was sort of expecting him to play from avalanche all night, so it made me pretty happy to hear "to be alone with you" and some of the unreleased stuff. "They are night zombies" was the best choice for an encore EVER, though.

i was a little disappointed that they didn't play "predatory wasps" or "transfiguration" but i can't really complain about what they DID play.
