So in this Pre-Crisis series they mess around with his origins?
1/22/2004 10:24:27 PM
i think technically, he has two originsthe pre-crisisand the post-crisisbeing a DC-hater, i'm not surebut i think the entire UNIVERSE changed...i could be wrong...

This week's episode wasn't bad.But how the hell do Lana and Chloe get in a cat fight, and keep in mind that Lana's going totally apeshit and swinging a fireaxe around, and only get a suspension from school (which I take to be temporary)? At the very least Lana should've gone to fuckin' jail or whatever.
1/28/2004 9:06:51 PM
i loved the ending....i didn't realize that ian somahalder was gonna stay around...this should be interestingand the whole lois lane thing was a little cheesy...i'm afraid of where it could lead
1/28/2004 9:08:40 PM
^Which one is Ian Somahalder? I don't really know the names of the actors. I'm an idiot. And I agree, wtf was the point of making Chloe related to Lois? That's not good story-telling, that's just fuckin' name dropping.
1/28/2004 9:10:38 PM
I'm still hoping for bat man
1/28/2004 9:15:00 PM
^^^the guy from the hospital...and yeah, giving him glasses for an episode should have been enough to last for a couple episodes...but i guess...
1/28/2004 9:21:27 PM
does anyone have episode 9 and 10 of this season? and maybe more. i don't know how any there have been
1/28/2004 9:30:29 PM
i have them all...from all seasons...
1/28/2004 9:41:55 PM
omg. on your computer? can we make some arrangement so i can see them?
1/28/2004 10:20:40 PM

1/28/2004 10:53:03 PM
DamnStraight is the man when it comes to Smallville. I owe him at least 20 chicken pot pies.

I will briefly reveal how much of a comic geek I am Wraith to tell you about Crisis. Ok...During the 60s and 70s, DC had lost a lot of ground to it's rival Marvel comics. DC's history had become confusing and muddled due to the fact that in the DC universe there were many parallel universes -- and therefore many different origin stories, time travel, and a dozen other things to confuse the history of the characters. In the 80s DC celebrates its 50th anniversary and decides to clean things up so to speak and create a huge cross-hero/cross-book story called the Crisis on Infinite Earths. All of the infinite universes begin to fade out of existence because this bad guy is sucking all of their energy, so his counterpart in our universe summons all of earth's heroes (Superman, Batman, Flash, everybody in the DC universe). The Flash sacrifices himself to save everyone, and five universes of the millions survive (millions of people being slaughtered in the process). A spirit known as Sceptre "restarts" time, blending together the five that survived to create a single universe from scratch. The characters who survive "start over" as well, and are given new origins (such as Superman), and some whose stories are too muddled or no one likes are simply erased out of existence. So any discussion of DC stories has to be considered Pre-Crisis or Post-Crisis, since entire worlds and characters ceased to exist, while others such as Superman start over from scratch with their original stories now null and void. So yes, Superman has multiple origin stories (in several other times, universes, etc.) but they were "erased" with Crisis.Does that help? (man I'm such a nerd )[Edited on January 29, 2004 at 8:30 PM. Reason : spelling]By the way, this isn't the only time this kind of thing has been done. DC did it again in the late 90s with a storyline called Zero Hour (the old Green Lantern destroys all of time to recreate the Universe the way he thinks it should be), and more recently Marvel did it with a storyline called The Age of Apocalypse (in which the creature Onslaught forms from Professor X's psyche and destroys the world, but I can't remember why).[Edited on January 29, 2004 at 8:41 PM. Reason : btw]
1/29/2004 8:28:19 PM
ixnay on the arvelmay...[and don't forget the Heroes Reborn storylines...
1/29/2004 8:45:44 PM
Had to look these up because they all get blended together, but here are the origins of Superman:Clark Kent of Earth-2 (the original, Golden-Age Superman)http://web.cetlink.net/~farrier/supe2.htmlClark Kent of Earth-1 (the Silver-Age Superman)http://web.cetlink.net/~farrier/supe1.htmlPost-Crisis Clark Kent (the current Superman)http://web.cetlink.net/~farrier/suppc.htmlHeroes Reborn is just what Marvel decided to call the new universe after the original was destroyed by Age of Apocalypse (they redo the origins of the Avengers, Fantastic Four, Iron Man, and Captain America -- not so much changing them as updating them). I read Heroes Reborn until Jim Lee stopped drawing Fantastic Four and then stopped reading comics. Heroes Reborn and the Spiderman clone saga pretty much ended comics for me.[Edited on January 29, 2004 at 8:54 PM. Reason : heroes reborn]
1/29/2004 8:50:25 PM
I guess that's what happens when you play with time travel, parallel worlds, and the like.
1/29/2004 10:19:52 PM
^^maximum carnage basically ended it for me...its when i became x-book and punisher book specific...but eventually the x-books just got out of hand, and even punisher went through a 15 issue crossover, with multiple fake punishers...so there was really no where left for me to turn
1/29/2004 10:44:41 PM
I heard that batman has a kryptonite ring hidden in the batcave. he has it there in case superman goes crazy or something. is this true??? I heard that is how they were going to do a batman vs. superman movie.
1/29/2004 10:52:56 PM
after reading those articlesi don't know if i'm ever going to answer another superman question...my knowledge has been so muddled between the first and last "generations" that i don't really know anymorebut i want to say that yes, batman does have a kryptonite ring, given to him by superman
1/29/2004 10:57:45 PM
Given how strong Superman is, I still think Batman could beat him, considering how much of a formidable foe Lex Luthor is to Superman (Lex Luthor is completely human like Batman). Batman is most likely smarter (probably) and stronger than Lex Luthor too.
1/29/2004 11:23:06 PM
Batman is without a doubt the most powerful and badass DC hero ever. And I say that with no backing whatsoever.

Anyway as far as I'm concerned the 1986 6-part miniseries The Man of Steel written and illustrated by John Byrne is the Bible on Superman origins. It is the first Post-Crisis Superman story (so this is the "true" story as it was when we were all growing up), awesome artwork, and excellent writing.Details and pictures here:http://www.supermanhomepage.com/comics/post-crisis-classic-reviews/c-review-classicpostcrisis.php?topic=c-review-cl-mos1

CLARK NEEDS TO HIT SOME ASS
2/18/2004 8:20:07 PM
that girl looks like the kind of girl i'd like to marry. and of course pa kent has to fuck it up
2/18/2004 8:21:41 PM
i wish i had cable, cause she looks good with static, i bet she is bangtastic clear
2/18/2004 8:27:12 PM
The hot girl is psycho.....but she's still willing to give it up, so suck it up and take it like a man.
2/18/2004 8:32:38 PM
can i get a layup[/bernie mac]
2/18/2004 8:33:10 PM
GET YOU SOME, CLARK!He shouldn't have bothered with the lead paint, he should've just fuckin' melted her with his heat vision. I knew she was gonna go fuckin' psycho, but at least she isn't that stupid cock-tease Chloe. DIE CHLOE!
2/18/2004 9:06:24 PM
man i like chloe 10x better than lana. lana is freaking annoying.
2/18/2004 9:07:32 PM
It's just how I feel personally. I have nothing against the actor, but I feel that Chloe the character is fuckin' useless. At least Lana existed in canon Superman storyline (I guess that depends on which series you define as canon, though, and for all I know Chloe was in one of them, but as far as I am aware she never existed).
2/18/2004 9:14:57 PM
So um, where did she go?
2/18/2004 9:15:02 PM
^The psycho teleporting chick?Clark splashed lead paint on her. Her weakness was that she couldn't teleport through lead, so I presume that she got taken to that psychoward in Metropolis, possibly in a room padded with lead lining.
2/18/2004 9:17:06 PM
Yeah it never really explained where she went afterwards
2/18/2004 9:58:31 PM
Clark should have hit it before turning her in.
2/19/2004 12:05:25 AM
i hope she comes back...
2/19/2004 12:22:53 AM
2/19/2004 12:28:53 AM
I bet he blows a load like a shotgun right through her back.
2/19/2004 2:31:41 AM
^That's exactly what I was thinking. He's superman, you know? When he cums, he probably shoots out at Mach3 or something. I guess she would've had to have used some kryptonite-based lube or something.Ugh, I can't believe I even took the time to think about that. But if I were Clark, even though she turned out to be a psycho bitch, I still would've hit it at least once before bitch-slapping her into red chunky pulp with my super strength.
2/19/2004 2:47:52 AM
final episode should be clark having an orgy with all the fine ass women who have been on the show.
2/19/2004 9:38:26 AM
i used to be all about lana, but after the watching the show a lot more, i think i'd rather get with chloe. she's a little spitfire and i bet she's a wildwoman in the sack
2/19/2004 4:08:25 PM
^^^^^^^MALLRATS
2/19/2004 4:12:15 PM
^ Of course. Best quote in the entire movie.
2/19/2004 4:19:00 PM
well since that chick was affected by kryptonite, maybe it strengthened her uterus so she could handle the force of clark's boof
2/19/2004 4:29:13 PM
yeahokreading way too far into the episode
2/19/2004 4:31:08 PM
she could teleport out of the way of the spooge
2/19/2004 5:25:26 PM
you could fuck her around the world [Edited on February 19, 2004 at 7:44 PM. Reason : .]
2/19/2004 7:43:25 PM

2/25/2004 10:24:03 PM
