Cam's interview with Erin Andrews was great

Cam Newton answering Erin Andrews ask where the Panthers have to get better (https://t.co/0jEw0MiZ70) reminds me of this scene https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=sIHA3DzHWlM#t=11

NFC South (5-1) Games remaining: NoneNFC West (2-2) Games remaining: NoneNFC 2nd place 2012 (2-0) Games remaining: NoneAFC East (3-1) Games remaining: NoneScenarios: NFC South & 1st Round Bye CLINCHED. SEA Loss + SF Win = #1 Seed & Home Field. looking at the 3 and 4 seeds, it might not be so bad being #2, since you can figure the wild card teams are better than the North & East winners and can count on at least one upset; that could leave us with Philly/Dallas/GB/Chi and Seattle with NO/SF/Ari. of course, if both WC win, then we lose the advantage. either way, I won't complain, we did exactly what we had to do.SEASON = EVEN MORE SUCCESSFUL
12/29/2013 4:25:06 PM
time to watch if a wisconsin qb will pull a matt ryan and gift us the 1 seed
12/29/2013 4:33:52 PM
Works out well New Orleans will likely play at seattle and we will get San Fran at home
12/29/2013 4:38:42 PM
So who out of NO/TB/ATL will win the NFC South next year?

Too much Deangelo hate. He's got a ton of guaranteed money whether he plays or not. He's banged up. He's about to turn 31 and has a ton of mileage on him. He lacks explosiveness for sure. I don't think it's effort the guy just doesn't have elite athleticism anymore. His numbers are solid this year especially given our run blocking weakness. None of our other backs have looked better that's for sure.
12/29/2013 5:42:53 PM
yeah, I'm not seeing why there are people complaining about himhe's just a guy. not like he's a diva or an ass off of the field.[Edited on December 29, 2013 at 5:50 PM. Reason : football brings out the dumbest jockisms]
12/29/2013 5:45:33 PM
He's managed to stay healthy most of the season and has made some big, game changing plays. Let's face it, the way Tolbert runs he wouldn't last 3 games as a feature back and Stewart is never healthy. Yeah, he's overpaid but that's not his fault. Football is a shitty way to make a living, I don't blame him for playing not to get killed out there. LT played the same way late in his career.
12/29/2013 6:05:18 PM
the DeAngelo fumble at least didn't have anything due to age ... gotta protect the ball, I think some criticism is warranted since he did the same thing in week 1 in the redzone
12/29/2013 6:11:31 PM
williams has never been a guy who puts down his helmet and meets a guy face on to pick up an extra yardearly in his career trying to avoid contact was kinda his job, you know. it worked pretty well until he lost a step
12/29/2013 6:11:32 PM
^^ it's fair to criticize his fumbling, but saying he "doesn't seem to care about winning" is absurd

i know it sounds dumb but id almost rather play @Seattle in the playoffs than @NO. I just hate the way we match up with New Orleans. Statistically, i know we'd rather have NO at home, but something about that match-up just skeeves me. I wouldn't mind dodging Philly either. SF at home is a solid match up for us.
12/29/2013 6:49:08 PM
were we the #2 seed back in 08, or the #1 seed?
12/29/2013 6:57:27 PM

I couldn't find a gif of Will Smith gyrating his head in the intro of Fresh Prince, so I'll just post this instead...Falcons fans probably feel like Panthers fans did for the years that they had Michael Turner

Just announced that we will be the 1pm game on Sunday in the divisional round. Start making your plans.
12/29/2013 10:10:34 PM
Will any tickets be for the general public on ticket master and if not then where should we look? And what price do you think we should have as a goal?
12/30/2013 12:52:35 AM
Out of the 3 possible teams we could play first game, give me Philly all day. I'm still not sold on Foles vs a great defense, plus the Panthers should be able to hold McCoy in check with their front 7. I really wouldn't mind playing San Fran either. Their defense is just as good as ours, but Kap played scared against us last time -- and that was at their house. The team I really don't want to see is the Packers. Rodgers is probably the scariest QB in the league considering his delivery, accuracy, mobility, and grittiness. I could see him carving our soft-zone defense to pieces if we don't get lots of pressure.[Edited on December 30, 2013 at 2:15 AM. Reason : ]

There will be some general tickets sold at 10am this morning. They'll be sold out by 10:05 I would guess too.EDIT: I'd rather play the Packers than the 49ers all day. That offensive line for GB is their achilles heel and their defense is really weak. I think we could make them one dimensional by shutting down Lacy and then get after them on passing downs. It would be really hard to beat the 49ers twice in a year. They seem to be rolling right now too. I'd just rather avoid that rematch if possible.[Edited on December 30, 2013 at 8:43 AM. Reason : .]

Looked on stubhub the other day they had nose bleed seats listed at around $350 each and decent seats around $750 each.
12/30/2013 8:59:03 AM
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to be in attendance on Dec. 12th for the home playoff game, but who has that kind of money to spend on nosebleed seats?
12/30/2013 9:10:45 AM
73,298 people to be exactIt's only face value for a large portion of the stadium with PSL's. They're selling their tickets to you for a nice profit.

12/30/2013 9:33:34 AM
I will too. Mint St endzone
12/30/2013 9:38:36 AM
Yeah, I don't want to have anything to do with the 49ers. That defense guarantees it'll be at least a close game and they have more playmakers on offense than we do. We barely beat them with their two best receivers out of the game. No thanks. With the Packers, I'm fairly certain our front 7 can overwhelm their offensive line and their defense can't stop the run or pass.
12/30/2013 9:42:13 AM
SF over Carolina in the NFC Title Game. How it plays out.Philly over NO would be HUGE for the Panthers (pairing purposes). I think it happens in OT.SF will deficate on GB. Packers aren't ready. We beat Philly fairly comfortably. +9ptsNiners win in Seattle by an eye opening margin.+10We lose a bruising FG fest at home to SF. 16-13.SF seemed like they were destined to win the SB last year. They make it back in 2014.
12/30/2013 9:48:41 AM
Yeah for that price, I'll watch the game in the comfort of my own home. But I would LOVE to be there.
12/30/2013 9:50:12 AM
New Orleans is playing on Saturday night in Philly where it will be well below freezing and the meanest crowd in football will be extra drunk. Good luck with that, Saints.
12/30/2013 9:57:47 AM
12/30/2013 10:34:00 AM
So if Philly wins, that's who we've got right?
12/30/2013 10:58:34 AM
yes
12/30/2013 11:03:30 AM
we can't draw NO, so if NO wins, we get GB/SF winner. if Phi wins, it's them.
