can't find a FoxNews link to it, but they were bitching today about the fact that the average SanFran worker makes 40k a year, but the average pension was 70k. Despite the fact that I can't find any corroboration of the average salary figure, they are forgetting something: you can pay more into your pension and make it bigger! It's this thing we have called "an investment"! Stupid fucks

You have to give them credit for transparency. They are covering the questioning of the Murdochs live.Comparison to CNN when covering the Weiner, Schwarzeneggar scandals (Eliot Spitzer?), or the Dan Rather fraud.

I just downgraded my satellite TV to the most basic package, and the only news channel I get now is MSNBC. I have to say, I think that MSNBC is even more ridiculous and overtly partisan than even Fox News is.I remember back in the day when CNN was the Communist News Network, Fox News was pretty much what it is now, and MSNBC was the relatively middle-ground news network.
8/2/2011 10:21:03 PM
dont forget that CNN was also known as the "Clinton News Network"

Fox News has already made at least 5 references to 9/11 while discussing the quake.
8/23/2011 3:25:49 PM
in all fairness, as someone who used to live in SoCal and now lives 20 miles east of DC, earthquake was not the first thing on my mind when the tremors hit - nor that of the other guy here who used to live in orange county
8/23/2011 3:30:56 PM
how long do we give then until they blame the quake on Obama?

tornado warning times would go down significantly and in rural cases they would vanish. It takes a lot of manpower and money to keep radars operating properly. No private company would pay to maintain a radar out in bumfuck.

I heard the same absurd claim mentioned on Bill Cunningham's show a few months ago. They were all like "Hur hur why do we even need the National Weather Service? We have The Weather Channel!". The idea that people could even remotely think this is utterly mind boggling.
9/1/2011 6:49:57 PM

As a meteorologist I can say this article made for a good laugh. Sadly it is how a rather large segment of the population thinks. Never underestimate the power of a large group of stupid people. I am not so sure the Idiocracy comparison is that far off. The statement that this was written by a 14 year old might not be giving 14 year olds enough credit.
