Gabe King has been talking about Cal the whole time. Last i heard was that he had Cal and UNCCH at the top, but he'd be crazy to go to UNCCH, all they have are DE's over there. Makes sense now that Cal is at the top by itself.

gabe king may go to prep school
6/16/2009 4:35:58 PM
QB Dylan Thompson committed to South Carolina yesterday.

^^^ UNC projects King as a DT. I would be very surprised if he ends up at Cal.

^ why do you say that tarhole? dont gimmie the "because cal is all the way over there" argument either

Cann should be announcing at 11:30 today. All indications say USC.Don't listen to anything ^^ says. He is an idiot. He is the same guy who said 'name them' after the junior and senior starters on the UNC team were named in the original post of the same thread. [Edited on June 17, 2009 at 9:15 AM. Reason : sd]

Like hershculez said it looks like Cann is announcing his decision sometime today. Its between UNC and SC.According to JC Shurburtt of ESPN Daunte Carr's friend and teammate Tai-ler Jones (who we also recruited) is committed to Stanford who also happen to be in Carr's top 5. Hopefully he won't influence his decision too much.JC Shurburtt also reported a few days ago that it likely Donovan Tate will be passing on his commitment to UNC to play pro ball for the San Diego Padres after being drafted number 3 overall.

aph shouldn't Mangram (SC) and Palmer (NC) be counted for their home states in the geographical diversity breakdown?
6/20/2009 5:58:08 PM
I used the JuCo school's location last year. It's just easier for me since I copy and paste from scout.Mangram's from GA anyways so it's plus-minus one for the NC count.[Edited on June 20, 2009 at 6:06 PM. Reason : ...]

I thought Mangram was from South Carolina?Torian Box highlighthttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NypOpEnKUIgThe thing that I like from this highlight vid is that he seems to always be under control. His footwork seems pretty good, so I bet he rarely gets knocked down by opposing d-linemen.[Edited on June 20, 2009 at 9:11 PM. Reason : ]
6/20/2009 8:56:28 PM
^No, he is from Brunswick, GA and currently is at GA Military Academy
6/20/2009 10:24:42 PM
^^ it is a highlight video. Not going to have bad plays on it.My only concern is if he is tall enough. Like Robert Crisp tall nuhimsayin
6/20/2009 10:30:23 PM
Yeah bad memory on my part. I remember that he had offers from South Carolina and Clemson, so that was probably one reason why I thought he was from SC.^ well he's 6-3 and will either be playing guard or center for us. that's normal height for those two positions. tackle is where you would like for players to be in that 6-5 to 6-8 range.[Edited on June 20, 2009 at 10:35 PM. ^lets put it this way:Our staff is only taking one interior lineman in this class and they offered this kid in May and took his commitment in June.I'd say they're impressed with what they've seen

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I was really afraid that he was going to go on a trip and be really impressed with another school outside the state and end up being swayed away from us. Now if Hunter can go ahead and jump on board we'd be pretty set.http://ncstate.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=957973Local standout selects NC StateJacey ZembalTheWolfpacker.com EditorAnthony Creecy couldn't think of a better way to celebrate Father's Day, then to give his family the gift of making his college decision. The running back/wide receiver prospect from Southern Durham High in Durham, N.C., ended his recruiting process Sunday by selecting NC State over the likes of Duke, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, and nearly 25 other colleges that offered him, The Wolfpacker has confirmed."My family was just real happy and everyone is going crazy," Creecy said.Creecy was able to tell NC State coach Tom O'Brien face-to-face of his plans."Coach O'Brien was going crazy," Creecy said. "I made the commitment directly to him, so he was really happy too. I could tell that he wanted it to happen today. He was talking about doing it on Father's Day and all that. He was like, 'I've had a great Father's Day.' It just seemed to be a perfect day to do it."Creecy had always maintained during the recruiting process that NC State was his leader. The Wolfpack were the first school to offer him a scholarship."It just felt right, and I went out there [to NCSU], and we were talking about it after the camp, and they wanted me to commit," Creecy said. "I knew they had some other recruits like Robert Crisp. I went to some other schools on some trips I took, and they just didn't fit what I wanted it to be. The offensive schemes were just not what I wanted to be in."Creecy caught 48 passes for 863 yards and five touchdowns as a junior at Southern Durham. Rivals.com rates him as a four-star prospect and the No. 170 player in the country, No. 9 in North Carolina and No. 28 wide receiver. The Wolfpack recruited Creecy with the option of playing running back and wide receiver."The offensive schemes were what I wanted to play in," Creecy said. "I knew NC State was where I wanted to be. I started thinking about my decision and everything felt so good."They want to have me get guarded by a lot of linebackers and safeties [in the passing game], and they talk about how versatile I am," Creecy said. "I don't really have a set position or favor one."NCSU running backs coach Jason Swepson recruited Creecy, and originally planned to make a college decision next January. However, he also almost committed to NC State in June of 2008, but decided to back off that plan."NC State was my first offer and that makes it even better," said Creecy.Creecy participated in the Shrine Bowl combine in Butler High in Matthews, N.C., on April 22, and checked in at 6-foot and 200 pounds with 40-yard dash times of 4.55 and 4.58 seconds. His best shuttle on a difficult gymnasium floor was 4.67 seconds, and he had a 27.6-inch vertical leap. He also benched pressed 185 pounds 15 times.Creecy becomes the sixth member of NC State's Class of 2010."I want to go and recruit a whole lot of players," Creecy said. "I want everyone to get ready for the next season."[Edited on June 21, 2009 at 5:51 PM. Reason : ]

besides Freshad, who might be committing next? Amerson? Moore? the QB who is offered? I feel like we're in good position with a lot of recruits, hopefully we'll start off the season with some wins.[Edited on June 21, 2009 at 5:57 PM. Reason : I really hope Moore stays home]
6/21/2009 5:56:40 PM
Amerson or Hunter would be who I bet on.
6/21/2009 6:06:41 PM
Long video, but for those wanting a good look at Creecy, here ya go. I think it literally shows every play he made his senior year. The cool thing is there's no music dubbed over the footage, so you get to hear the fans, the announcer, the band, etc. It's cool to me at least.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BdjNM0h9PNk
6/21/2009 6:24:36 PM
Hunter is unlikely to commit any time soon.
6/21/2009 7:31:37 PM
goddamn, creecy is a monster in the slot
6/21/2009 9:50:12 PM
The thing I like most about Creecy is how hard the guy plays. There seems to be zero finesse in his game. Obviously plays with a lot of passion too. Also, and I've said this before, but Southern Durham's QB is pretty damn impressive.
6/21/2009 10:22:58 PM
i like how his email is @bop.gov at the end of the video.
6/21/2009 10:49:39 PM
^^ haha that's what I was thinking.Creecy did make some pretty good catches with contact so he definitely has the hands.
6/22/2009 12:10:37 AM
I hope we use him like Florida used Percy Harvin. He looks to have the left/right speed to go along with the straight ahead 4.45 forty speed.
6/22/2009 7:30:51 AM
I wonder which QB in camp was extended a scholarship offer.
6/22/2009 9:02:21 AM
Haven't heard of any offers... I believe there's another three day session early this week
6/22/2009 9:30:16 AM
Check out the schools Creecy was offered scholarships by and who as recruiting him
6/22/2009 9:30:18 AM
Really? Because he's been in the ACC since leaving State. He's coached at UNC, Clemson and VT, it's not like he just disappeared.

Reid Webster committed to Clemson today:Touted offensive lineman Reid Webster accepts offer from ClemsonOffensive tackle Reid Webster, a 6-foot-5, 270-pound prospect from Etowah (Woodstock, Ga.), has become Clemson's seventh pledge for the Class of 2010.Webster, who has drawn 18 offers, also considered Miami-Florida, Florida State and Mississippi. Among others were Oklahoma State, Oregon, Indiana, Louisville, North Carolina State, Wake Forest, Vanderbilt, Central Florida and Air Force. He told ESPN affiliate Web site TheClemsonInsider.com, "I just talked it over with my parents. Clemson is real close so my dad can come see all of my games. They have a good business school. Clemson is just the right place for me."Additionally, it does not appear Webster will waiver on his decision, "(My commitment) is firm. I am 100-percent Tiger."
