Not that ratings are too important for an HBO show, but they just set another series high rating for this past week's episode

Stannis is younger than RobertThe blackfyre rebellion happened bc all the bastards were legitimized.

They inbred a ton (Valyrian custom) so probably not so much. Then again, we only really know about the direct descendants from the kings.

^^ the bastard brother part I dont believ has ever been confirmed by Martin, but it still doesn't matter. Roberts paternal great grandfather was aegon V who died at the tragedy at summerhall. So he was rhaegars second cousin[Edited on April 26, 2013 at 2:16 PM. Reason : .]

Lords Kiss ftw

no comments or thoughts on last night's episode? my only (mild) complaint is that the cast of characters has gotten so large we see so little each episode. it is an epic story though and still pretty awesome.
4/29/2013 8:46:15 AM
I'm still behind because of work. Watched episodes 3 and 4 on Friday/Saturday and thought they were both excellent. Personally, I feel like the pacing and handling of so many characters has been done really well this season. Seems like they've really hit their stride in that regard.[Edited on April 29, 2013 at 8:49 AM. Reason : ]

This last episode wasn't very exciting, but the subplots are advancing nicely now.
4/29/2013 9:21:49 AM
^ not exciting? we got ygritte tits and jon bringing cunnilingus to the wildlings.
4/29/2013 9:34:52 AM
There was also a sword lit on fire with magic, a guy getting cut in half, and then he got brought back to life. The BWOB is basically a party from final fantasy.

Jesus, it's called Game of Thrones, not Battle Every Episode. The political machinations are what make this story work. Littlefinger and Tywin scheming were the best scenes of this episode, IMO though the Sandor/Beric fight was pretty cool and Jamie's development is awesome.[Edited on April 29, 2013 at 10:02 AM. it's hard to feel sympathy for a dude who booted a kid out a window
4/29/2013 10:04:01 AM
Okay, so maybe that was too harsh, it was moderately exciting. My favorite part was the lord of light duel scene.
4/29/2013 10:10:46 AM
good episode but not great, i thought. thoroughly enjoyed seeing Ygritte's booty more than her chest too. i thought the scenes with Brienne and Jaime were really good; i'm finding myself actually liking him more. his character seems to be changing over time and becoming more bearable to see and listen to. i think Brienne and him have a good thing going. and i wonder if that was her butt or a body-double when she stood up in all her glory.
4/29/2013 10:12:44 AM
This is a terrible analogy, but Jaime's character progression from being completely despicable to seeming to have at least some good buried within him, reminds me of Darth Vader.[Edited on April 29, 2013 at 11:09 AM. Reason : -]

This was an excellent episode, and had some of the best acting of the entire series. Especially Jaime's little history lesson in the bath.
4/29/2013 11:19:00 AM
I walk right to the edge of feeling sorry for Jaime. He has done some pretty evils things in the past but he has some of the best lines and facial expressions. I'd much rather watch his scenes than Jon Snow. Was nice to see ygrittes boobs. Tywin once again laying the smack down. Liked the back and forth between Selmy and Jorah.
4/29/2013 7:33:42 PM
I feel bad for Jamie: he has to try to be an actual person now that he's without the thing he always took for grantedand I didn't care for Ygritte naked: y'all must love ribs sticking out on a chickin any case, I guess we got a few glimpses of man ass in this past episode
4/29/2013 7:53:42 PM
Yeah, ygritte has a pretty awesome body
4/29/2013 8:07:41 PM
at least her boobs are real VV

Brienne's ass was a lot nicer than expected

Do we know why Stannis' daughter's face is deformed? Or is that something else I've forgotten from previous seasons? And dude...stillborns in jars [Edited on April 30, 2013 at 9:23 AM. Reason : ]

GoT show wiki provides an explanation but I don't recall it actually being said in the show, at least not this season.

The begining of the second book explains the girls face but I don't recall it being in any of the shows.

Part 2 on the history of the Lannisters from CBG19. Includes backstory on Jaime, Cersei, Tyrion, and a little bit on Joffrey. There are no spoilers, it only talks about stuff that happened prior to Season 1 of the show. Very good insight on why Jaime really isn't that bad a guy (there was a glimpse of this in the last episode)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OLXmhA0jVOI

You guys act like he pushed him off for fun...he didn't want to get in trouble for bwning his sister. Besides it made excellent story points.
5/1/2013 9:48:48 PM
^what thread are you reading?
5/1/2013 10:08:31 PM
You referenced Jaime being evil...he isn't evil...he just didn't want to get caught banging his sister the queen.
5/1/2013 10:53:43 PM
If you are only responding to me then the phrase "you guys" doesn't make sense And your last comment just seems completely out of place bc nobody is criticizing the story/character But to your point, killing a child almost always makes you evil in my book, killing a child to hide your deeds just makes it worse. Kinda weird for anyone to try to justify it.
