you should be ashamed. your children would be hurt and distrustful of you if they only knew. one day they may know, and then they will never speak to you again, and you will deserve it, because you're essentially stealing from their piggy bank.^that was ridiculous.

We invest in science education now and get scientific advancement in the future. I don't think it's fine. I think it's necessary. We can't just abandon our citizenry and expect to flourish as a country. Yes we need to pay down the debt but not at the expense of necessary expenditures (like science education and welfare).Paying for education and welfare isn't selling future generations up the river. It's preventing the country from devolving further into crime and illiteracy. It's pointless to continue this conversation further on this topic because you think the free market will magically protect and educate everyone better than government can so in your mind anything the government does is wasting money. I'm not convinced.
8/6/2012 12:49:08 PM
Wtf. You should be ashamed of your response. Using someone's children to guilt and shame them into agreeing with you is worse than the political grandstanding and lying that happens in Washington today. You are a piece of shit. I sincerely believe you when you say you're not trolling. You aren't. You're just a loose lipped, opinionated, fucktard who needs a good swig of bleach to wash down that humble pie. What you fucking quoted was nothing damning. He's not saying he wants to maintain a budget deficit. He's saying he doesn't want to end every single ficking cent of spending at the expense of the general welfare of this country like you do. You have some fucking disillusioned view that capitalism can fix everything. It can If you ignore the inherent greed of such a system. Communism can work too, if you ignore the laziness and corruption that such a system promotes. You criticize the government for being ineffective, filled with lazy and unmotivated workers who squander away everyone's money. And your. Critisms are right. But your solution has just as many pitfalls as our current systems. While you're capable of casting light on our problems, you are either inept at finding problems with libertarianism or you're just plain fucking naive. Personally, I think it's the latter of the two. But I digress. I don't really fucking care about your own stupidity and your inability to spot problems with your own logic. The fact is you are in no position to degrade someone for their beliefs in the manner that you did. You have no room to call him selfish and for not caring about his children when you're guilty of being heartless towards those who would be negatively impacted by your own beliefs if they were to be put into practice. If he's a piece of shit, then you're worse than the ass who created him. Drink bleach and die, faggot.
8/6/2012 12:51:06 PM
I don't expect to convince anyone here of anything. I'm way beyond that point. Most of you can't be helped. When you believe that it is moral and virtuous to lock up (or threaten to lock up) people simply because they disagree, then we have nothing to discuss. When those are your beliefs, you don't have a respectable moral system. I don't care what your alleged "ends" are. Oh, great. You want to steal and kill...but it's for the children, or it's for the poor. I don't give a shit.I don't want to talk about capitalism, or the free market, or economics. Just morality. We all accept that it's wrong to initiate force in our daily lives. It would be wrong for me to come up to you and punch in the face, unprovoked. It would be wrong for me to rob your house. But, suddenly, when the government does it, it magically becomes okay. That's not logically consistent.Your justifications are built upon the premise that all this spending is going to pay off. We're going to have a great society, we just need a little more deficit spending. Only in retrospect will you be able to understand how wrong you were. The era of U.S. hegemony has come to an end, and it's going to be a hell of a hangover.[Edited on August 6, 2012 at 1:22 PM. Reason : ]

How can we have a rational discussion about the future of society if we don't talk about the rights of children?I feel a great deal of bitterness towards previous generations that lived the high life on debt that will effectively be paid off by the working generation today. I imagine that future generations will feel the same towards us if we don't make good decisions.Call me crazy, you won't hurt my feelings. I sincerely feel that taking out debt for present-day consumption to be paid off by future generations is one of the most heinous and despicable practices in modern society. Yeah, the sentiment strikes a nerve because it forces people to grapple with a dark and uncomfortable truth.[Edited on August 6, 2012 at 1:34 PM. Reason : ]

It's fair game for you to post this poll on Mitt Romney's page. Nobody is stopping you.I can't because they banned me for posting pictures of Romney's empty rallies about 4 months ago.

TAMPA – The new logo was everywhere at the Ron Paul Rally at the University of South Florida Sun Dome on Sunday. Gone were the iconic REVOLUTION symbols to which liberty lovers have become accustomed. In its place was a new logo. It was on every T-shirt. It was on every banner. It was on the jumbotron behind the speakers. It was even printed on the media credentials.“REPUBLICAN.” Same font. Same colors. Same red box.The logo hijacking wasn’t the slick work of Madison Avenue subtlety. It was being rubbed in the noses of Ron Paul supporters, who – for the most part – seemed to devour it like sheep at a feed troth. The Ron Paul RepubliCAN shirts, hats and buttons were flying off the rack.I wondered to myself, are these the Ron Paul supporters that I’ve come to know? How could they possibly buy into this heavy-handed takeover of an organic liberty movement? It seemed impossible. There was little doubt that the GOP establishment was behind it.As I scanned the VIP seating area, I noticed several faces that were very unlikely supporters. In fact, many were high-ranking party loyalists who have consistently attempted to derail the Ron Paul rEVOLution at every opportunity. These were the same people who have worked to silence and marginalize Dr. Paul. Yet they cheered as if they were hanging banners from overpasses in 2008.The Grand Old Party was clearly telling Paul supporters, “We’ve tolerated your insolence for long enough. You children have had your fun. Now we order you to fall back in line.”Gone was the organic, grass-roots message. In its place was the GOP party machine. Either Ron Paul didn’t notice, or he was powerless to prevent it.There was even a subtle, but noticeable, difference in Dr. Paul’s speech on Sunday. While the message hadn’t changed, it was as if he was holding something back. It seemed that many of the roughly 6,000 Paul supporters also noticed the change in tone. And whatever it was, it contributed to the slightly uneasy vibe of the event, which at times seemed more like a memorial service than a rally.http://1787network.com/2012/08/gop-attempts-to-hijack-a-revolution-as-torch-passes-from-paul-to-johnson/5277

Chanting erupts on floor of RNC between Ron Paul and Mitt Romney supportersThere was an awkward moment on the convention floor this afternoon, just minutes before the official start of Day 2.Rep. Ron Paul showed up and the hall erupted in whistles and cheers. But the mood changed when a chant of "President Paul, President Paul" started up from a large number of people on the floor.Paul responded with a small smile.Clearly, some Mitt Romney supporters were not pleased with this turn of events. A chant of "Rom-ney, Rom-ney," started up, and the Ron Paul supporters picked up their chant to compensate. After a few seconds, it was clear that the Paul supporters were winning in the war of words and the Romney supporters quieted down. Later chants included "Let him speak" and "seat him now." Paul was quietly escorted to a seat and the chanting died down.Read more: http://www.abcactionnews.com/dpp/news/political/shouting-match-erupts-on-floor-of-rnc-between-ron-paul-and-mitt-romney-supporters#ixzz24rwhLv95
