Fuck off Ramsey. Jesus, Arteta's injury really shows how much they have missed Wilshere all season..

Theo's actually been really good since January. Certainly in the top 3 for England wingers.

I'm not even mad anymore. I don't really feel anything anymore. The team's attitude must be contagious.

Arsenal game was a flop. At least we won't hear Spurs fans bring up the Arsenal loss to QPR anymore this season

How about Newcastle though? Everyone thought they were going to be shit after they sold off their "talent" and now they are destroying teams week after week, looking like they might get a UCL spot. Heard a stat that only Man United have won more games than them in 2012.

I'm pulling for them but it won't be easy - they still have Chelsea, City, and Everton left

Norwich City
@ West Brom

Arsenal are 3 up on Newcastle but for all intents and purposes 4 up given GD. Spurs and Chelsea are extreme longshots at this stage of the game..

What are you talking about? There are 4 CL spots and all 3 teams have a game in hand on Arsenal. Arsenal is probably in with those last few fixtures, true, but the rest are hardly "long shots"

Newcastle - 62
Spurs - 59
Chelsea - 58

Newcastle - Wigan, @Chelsea, City, @Everton
Spurs - Rovers, @Bolton, @Villa, Fulham
Chelsea - QPR, Newcastle, @Liverpool, Rovers

tough last 4 games for Newcastle - I think they'll be lucky to get 5

oh the main reason I came in here was to say Van Persie won writers' player of the year. Rooney 2nd, Scholes (!!!!) 3rd and Dempsey was 4th, which is pretty awesome

Spurs are 6 back and Chelsea 7 back, both with a large 6 goal gap in GD.

Basically Arsenal have to get, at most, 3 points from there last 3 games total and Spurs and Chelsea have to get 10 and 11 respectively of 12. Is that not a longshot? I'm talking about for third and auto CL qualifying.

[Edited on April 24, 2012 at 9:11 AM. Reason : And 3rd IS important given Chelsea still in CL, not that i think they'll hold on]

right. but CL qualifying is essentially an auto spot for English teams because they play minnows

took all that out because I don't want to look like I'm arguing Spurs/Chelsea have a shot at 3rd. I didn't realize you were talking only about auto CL spots

Wow Di Santo.

Wigan is flying. Looks like they're finally buying into Martinez's tactics.

Saw today that Brad Friedel set the record for most consecutive appearances in the EPL at 300. Never been subbed or injured since 2004/05 season.

Suarez 3rd goal was very nice, selfish but nice since he actually scored. The first two were actually quite nice as well, good finishes considering Liverpool have tended to hit the post or blow the shot out wide most of the time this season.

Di Santo's finish on the 4th Wigan goal was beautiful...pure skill and finesse.
