Damn. What Spurrier said really got under his skin. Dabo ad TOB need to find a reason to trade insults.

swinney is barely on pace to get 35 wins, even if you throw out the first season.
12/1/2011 10:31:12 PM
I wish there was a rule that no bowl game can host 2 teams from the same conference...kind of like the first round of MLB playoffs. Most of the non-BCS bowls guarantee it since they usually have 2 different conferences with tie-ins, so why shouldn't the BCS hold the same standard?
12/1/2011 11:59:00 PM
because it is possible that the best two teams in the country can be from the same conference

Personally, I'm hoping UGA beats LSU while Houston wins. Would love seeing the lone undefeated team still not make the title game
12/2/2011 7:22:45 AM
I hope LSU loses by one or two points on a fluke last second play. I doubt the voters would drop them below VT so we'd either get Stanford/Bama or LSU/Bama in the title game.None of those teams will have won their conference championships.I just want to see the sports pundit shitstorm that would follow. How many heads would explode?
12/2/2011 9:27:56 AM
Even if LSU loses, they still deserve to be in the Championship game and probably will still have the computer numbers. They beat Alabama, Oregon, and Arkansas. No other team has a resume that impressive, even if they lose to Georgia. It's going to be Bama-LSU. I'd bet my 401k on it.
12/2/2011 12:12:10 PM
what if Oklahoma St beats Oklahoma by like 30
12/2/2011 12:25:13 PM
Wow, for some reason I temporarily forgot about OSU. I guess the most interesting scenario would be OSU losing and LSU losing close.Which means what we'll get is LSU beating Georgia soundly, OSU squeaking by Oklahoma, and Nick Saban sitting around chuckling as his players get an extra week of rest before playing LSU in the National Title game.

College football is the only major sport without some kind of playoff, thus all comparisons to other leagues are null and void.
12/2/2011 1:47:37 PM
12/2/2011 2:15:47 PM
^^A playoff system would be the perfect fix.

12/2/2011 5:26:24 PM
LSU already won AT Alabama. What is your point?
12/2/2011 5:34:15 PM
You know, I would love for UCLA to actually pull out a win here. I know they don't have a prayer but I can still hope.I just want to see how the pundits react to a 7-6 team in a BCS bowl. I don't think either the ACC or the Big East has managed to put in a team that's 1 win above .500, and we've put some abysmal teams into BCS bowls./I think I have an unhealthy desire to see Skip Bayless or Stephen A Smith's head explode on national television.//Me and Charles Barkley.
12/2/2011 8:55:48 PM
if UCLA wins this one, and UCONN beats Cincy, there will be a 7-6 and a 7-5 team in BCS bowls
12/2/2011 8:59:44 PM
what an absolutely terrible broadcastmuffled crowd noise, poor color commentary, bad volume mixing. at least Gus Johnson is on the crew.fuck Fox

I miss Thom (pronounced Thom) Brennaman
12/2/2011 9:18:50 PM
what was the o/u on this game?
12/2/2011 9:29:07 PM
If UGA were to win Saturday, the National Championship game would be between LSU & Ok State (if they beat OU). There is a rule that no conference can have more than two teams in BCS games, so Bama would be out. VT (provided they beat CU) and Stanford are other options if Ok State loses. I will be rooting for UGA tomorrow, not just because I hate the idea of another "Game Of Field Goals" rematch, but also because I like to see BCS chaos. Plus I'd like to see Saban and the rest of the SEC whining.
12/2/2011 10:04:36 PM
12/2/2011 10:16:45 PM
^^ ESPN has been playing up for weeks that there's a loophole in the BCS that would let three SEC teams in under that scenario, Bama vs LSU in the NC and Georgia in the Sugar Bowl
12/2/2011 10:23:24 PM
yeah, back when the NC game was one of the actual bowl games you couldnt have 3. But now that you have the 4 main bowls, and then an additional game that is the NC game apparently its different.[Edited on December 2, 2011 at 10:46 PM. Reason : d]

Oregon ain't losingThey're going for 70
12/2/2011 10:53:04 PM
oh well, its not as funny as a 7-6 team in the BCS, but I'll take a 6-7 team in the kraft fight hunger bowl

why does Gameday always have to throw in a tear-jerker segment?
12/3/2011 11:20:55 AM
so uconn just had two straight penalties while they were backed up on their goal line... and on the next play, cinci literally grabbed it out of the qb's hand in the endzone for a touchdown.
12/3/2011 12:12:16 PM
Houston game had a play similar to the Stewart play against the Jaguars, except the guy ran after contact and the ruling on the field was a TD, but they reviewed and actually saw his knee was down in this case
12/3/2011 12:36:32 PM
Houston in the BCS championship game? LOL
12/3/2011 1:08:43 PM
If Wisconsin can beat MSU tonight we're going to have an epic Rose Bowl in Oregon vs. Wisconsin.
12/3/2011 2:19:04 PM
Can Houston pull off a wolfpack? down a shit ton in the 3rd qrt.

some michigan people on fbook thread keep talking about michigan's bcs bowl chances...they cant be serious can they?
12/3/2011 4:19:43 PM
what the fuck is going on with isaiah crowellall kinds of rumors of him being a dick and walking out of practice, and he isn't starting. UGA can't keep a RB on the team for shit.[Edited on December 3, 2011 at 4:24 PM. Reason : holy shit awesome]
12/3/2011 4:21:55 PM
^ that's all people have been talking about down here... apparently he doesn't like not automatically being "the man" and other players have questioned his toughness, he gets hurt ALL the time.HA, like he did just now

Really, Houston? Wow.
