Alright. First of all, machine guns, destructive devices, short barreled shotguns, and short barreled rifles, as well as the 'any other weapon' category are all part of the National Firearms act. It was put into place just after prohibition ended. It is 'Title II' of firearms law. Thus all guns udner it are Title II items. Title I items are things you can buy at any sporting goods store or gun show with normal paperwork and no additional taxation. see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Firearms_Act for info on Title II and see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_Control_Act_of_1968 for info on Title I. Title I was then modified by FOPA, passsed in 1986. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firearm_Owners_Protection_Act This modification cut off all new additions to the title 2 registry list for machine guns. thus the pre/post 86 reference on many advertisements for full auto stuff. See the bottom of this post for what 'class' meansItems controlled by this act MUST be registered with the federal government, and must have a tax paid to transfer them to a new owner. There is no 'permit' issued to the new owner, just a tax stamp issued, showing that the transfer was allowed to take place, and the tax paid. The federal government 'denies' transfers by refusing to allow you to pay the tax.

5/24/2010 1:51:21 PM
^^ how expensive is ammo compared to .22? i'm looking for a plinker
5/24/2010 3:26:51 PM
^about 10 times higher I'd say. I haven't bought ammo in a while... but last time I did, I think .22 was around $0.05/rnd while .380 was around $0.50/rnd. Not to mention, .380 isn't made full-time; it's a seasonal round.
5/24/2010 3:28:17 PM
.380 is one of the worst calibers for plinking you could possibly choose. it's a fine pistol, but .380 doesn't make for a good fun gun.

Listing this gun for a family neighbor back in Gastonia, NC. Serious inquiries only please. Here's the email he's sending out to folks. I know the guy who bought it and can guarantee all this is legit. I think he just wants something a little bigger."Walther PPK, stainless steel, 3 mags, Hogue rosewood grips ($75) and the original plastic grips. Less than 50 rounds fired. Original box and paperwork. Bought the gun at show in Charlotte a couple months ago. Wants to sell and buy a Sig or Kimber .(40). $450 Firm."Contact me if you have additional questions: cemcgee@gmail.com or (919) 809-9298. I'll try to check this listing through Sat. morning and then when I get back in town on Monday. Thanks.

5/27/2010 5:50:02 PM
anyone know anything about a mossberg 702?
5/28/2010 12:48:35 PM
I'm putting a feeler out there in case anyone is interested. I want to sell my Kahr PM9. It's in mint condition and I bought it new and shot maybe 100 rounds through it max. I don't use it enough to justify keeping it. I will post actual pics when I get around to it.Mine is the PM9093http://kahr.com/PA-1_9mm_pm.htmlobviously you must have permit or CCWand if you don't know, it's a 9mm
5/28/2010 1:19:20 PM
^^702 is a decent .22. Its not the best, but it works. I prefer a 10/22 or a Marlin 60 imo. Marlin 60's hold more rounds, are wayyy more accurate, and can be found in good condition at pawn shops for like $80
5/28/2010 1:27:09 PM
$175 for the Bersa plus 50rnd box of Blazer 95gr FMJ. Lowest I can go
5/28/2010 5:28:48 PM
Someone needs to jump on that.
5/28/2010 6:33:49 PM
^^Let me ask my buddy.
5/29/2010 1:42:05 PM
Bersa is SPF
5/29/2010 6:56:38 PM
how much you want for the PM9?
5/30/2010 7:14:01 AM
Yes I am curious about the PM9 as well. What were you looking to get for it? also, you said it is in mint condition, but from the picture it looks like you stippled the grip, did you or is that just how it looks?[Edited on May 30, 2010 at 8:34 PM. Reason : .]

sorry I was out of town for the long weekend but to answer the questions here.1. Actual pictures are in my gallery. The one in my first post was a generic picture and not me/my gun.2. I share a TWW account with my gf, hence the username.3. I paid around $600+ for it. Shot a couple of times. Not sure what I'm looking for. I/you can search gunbroker.com for reasonable prices. Let me get back on this.

Not sure if I should ask this here or in Fumbler's thread, but could I get a used Glock gen 4 17, 19, or 26 for <$450 (or a new one at a gun show)?. How about the 21/30/36 for <$515?Otherwise, what would be a good deal for Gen 3 versions of those guns?[Edited on June 7, 2010 at 6:27 PM. Reason : Gen 3]

^^I've done a little bit (VERY little bit) of research on the military torture test of them and was very impressed with my initial readings, and I like the way they look. I need to hold one and see how it feels, but I like Sigs too, so I dunno
