If you buy into what Haggerty is saying in his quotes to the media about going through the process and seeing what feedback he gets, then it makes sense that he pulls out of the draft. It is likely teams are telling him exactly what the media was already saying. He's very talented, but teams see him as a 2nd round pick or worse. And even as a second round pick, there is a good chance he quickly ends up in the G-league making sub 100k, or has to go overseas to get into six-figures.

Unless there is some team that has just fallen in love with him, then the best financial choice is to take the 2-3mil+ NIL deal. He gets one more shot at going full Kemba Walker on everybody and jumping into the 1st round next year. And worst case, he pockets 10+ years worth of overseas pro money.

^ maybe yeah idk. If you think Haggerty is slow playing you or trying to drive the price up, then you take the sure thing. But Williams seems like a pretty great Plan B. Haggerty wants to play PG. Which is a little odd with Holloman already on the team. But obviously if Haggerty wants to come then you make it work. Jeff Borzello called Williams “the best player available” so idk. Ok I see he isn’t counting Haggerty since he has not withdrawn from the draft

Yeah i don't think there's any discussion if Haggerty is insistent on playing PG. Holloman isn't some all-league caliber player. He's just a dude who struggled to crack the starting lineup at Michigan State and left because he wasn't going to start as a senior. If Haggerty wants to come here, you take him. You don't say oh sorry, we don't have room for you because we have a couple PGs who have been incredibly average for 3 years at power conference schools.
