Rumor has it we have two new transfers joining the roster soon.

One guy was in the top 35 for multiple statistical categories in the ACC (including top 10 for steals) while only playing ~20 mpg.

The other played double digit minutes on a major conference team that went to the tournament two straight years, including a sweet sixteen.

One of those statistical categories was turnovers, where he was 20th in the ACC in total turnovers despite only playing 20 minutes a game. But don't worry, he improved on that last year by leading the entire southland in turnovers despite again only playing 20 minutes a game. If he tries real hard here i bet he can break 100 turnovers in a season! He's like a weird mix of Abdul Malik Abu and Javi Gonzalez. Good at assists and steals, but negates that by being incredibly loose with the ball and good at dunking but literally no other shots including free throws.

Breed averaged 4 points a game at Providence in 17 minutes and shot 25% from 3. And 1:1 assist to turnover ratio. If we can get Eric Lockett levels of production out of Breed, that will be a win.

Goddamn i am excited about these guys now!

9 out of the top 10 turnover leaders in the ACC this year got All ACC/honorable mention nods. The only one that didn't make the cut was Cadeau. And Copeland's A/TO ratio was better than half of those guys. He could certainly improve his turnover rate, but acting like he's not an ACC level player because of his turnovers is just bad analysis.

He was also top 15 in FG % as mainly a slashing guard that can't shoot 3s. That is pretty impressive, and makes him a very dangerous weapon. He finishes at the rim a lot. We saw that first hand last year when he scorched us for 25 points.

And he was top 10 in steals. With ~10 minutes less minutes per game than the other guys.

Copeland == baller

1. Cadeau - 9.0 A/40 4.4 TO/40
T2. Hepburn - 6.7A/40 3.5 TO/40
T2. George - 7.3 A/40 3.4 TO/40
4. Lowe - 6.2 A/40 3.4 TO/40
5. Watkins - 3.1A/40 3.5 TO/40
6. Raynaud - 2.0 A/40 2.9 TO/40
7. Ndongo - 2.1A/40 3.2 TO/40
T8. Flagg - 5.5 A/40 2.7 TO/40
T8. Sallis - 3.1 A/40 2.7 TO/40
10. Edwards - 3.2 A/40 2.6 TO/40

Of the 5 players with worse A:TO ratios, all of them score more/40 than Copeland with 4 of them over 20 points/40. Also 3 of those guys aren't guards, so I wouldn't expect them to have good A:TO ratios.

Copeland had 8.1 A/40 and 5.1 TO/40. Cadeau got ran out of town for his poor decision making with better numbers than Copeland! Copeland had by far the highest turnover rate and he did it against a vastly inferior schedule/opponents. 5.1 TO/40 is really, really, really bad! For the record, Copeland averaged more TO/40 than the NCAA turnover leader. This is why I'm harping on it. He's especially bad at taking care of the ball compared to basically any division 1 basketball player! Like it's not just that he's a high turnover guy, he's literally the worst. That is a major issue and it's something that has only gotten worse as he's gotten older!

Hepburn, Lowe, Watkins, Raynaud, Flagg, Sallis and Edwards all had higher usage than Copeland(26.4%.) Cadeau and George tied for the lowest usage % at 21.4.

he wanted near 1.5 million, which isnt close to what we want to give him.
