Stop assuming "democrats" and "leftists" mean the same thing. Then it will make sense. Sure theres some overlap, but the typical democrat is not a "leftist" even though almost all of them identify as "progressive".

Debates need competent moderators. Stop letting Pete always get the last word and go back and forth for the entire debate.[Edited on December 19, 2019 at 9:45 PM. Reason : the questions are all trap questions for warren and bernie. "why should millionaires get free school]

The other candidates need to just be better. If peter is able to muscle his way in that’s a demonstration of competency

they are literally asking questions straight from his ads.

Yang focusing on rising depression and suicide juxtaposed against stable economic metrics is a good strategy.
12/19/2019 10:31:28 PM
I have an anger meter that seems to explode after every debate and it makes me ready to move out of this god forsaken country. They asked the most rigged, bogus questions and set traps that made it impossible for Bernie to respond. They asked questions directly from Pete's ads and questions about identity politics. They directly asked Pete questions that apply directly to his campaign (easy to answer) and then asked bernie impossible trash like 'so obama says old white men are keeping women out of power, what do you have to say about that? 'Then they come out after the debate with pundits talking about how unprepared bernie was. What really makes me mad is how well-meaning moderate liberals see this and yet they are silent across the board. I would feel a lot better if they just fessed up and said ,"i like biden but have to admit the whole system is against bernie" .Instead, they bury their heads in the sand and let the media get away with this bullshit. Or worse, they decide to gaslight the left as being paranoid about media conspiracy all while completely ignoring their stake in the profits ripping off the working class. Then they act puzzled when Trump dominates them in the same game. I'm just about done with the whole thing. Then its just a matter of finding a Scandanavian or Oceanianic country to live out the rest of the life life in a healthy environment.

For the January 14th debate, Big 4(Biden, Sanders, Warren, Pete) are already qualified. Amy's surprisingly qualified as well. Yang and Steyer are still struggling. Only 3.5 weeks left, and less than 2 weeks after the new year begins. So pretty urgent already.
12/20/2019 4:20:37 PM
Side note. Yang had an after debate party on the of my building and they were chanting late into the night. I'm not mad but just confused about why they were so celebratory.
12/21/2019 12:59:06 PM
he had a good night. once again, he said the most with least amount of time given. the establishment media might still not take him seriously, but the American people are hearing his message and it's resonating[Edited on December 21, 2019 at 2:25 PM. That's great. Hopefully he expands his efforts to some state races as well since he dropped the ball pretty badly there during his presidency.

Why is it weird? I don't watch SNL unless someone sends a link or mention. I see they managed to work in Kamala. Nothing comes close to how bad . they did AOC. Good thing liberals can't be sexist or racist.

Finally got around to watching the PBS debate. A few reactions:Both the moderators and the analysts who spoke during breaks are so afraid of Warren and Sanders. They praised Klobuchar and Buttigieg for the same things they bashed these two for (ways they answer questions, ways they interact with each other, etc). They do not want anyone to see them favorably and the bias is gross...and no different than any other debate so far this primary season.I don't dislike Tom Steyer, even though I thought I would. I thought he did well and stayed grounded despite his great personal wealth. I don't want him to be president, and I don't like how he bought his way into the field, but I'm glad he's on our side and he seems like a very intelligent and supportive individual. I don't understand how you can confuse Tom Steyer and Andrew Yang. That was ridiculous.Klobuchar is just making things up about the midwest. Minnesota is not representative of the rest of the region, nor is it as much a flyover as Iowa, Nebraska the Dakotas, etc. Minneapolis/St Paul is the 16th largest metro population in the country and Minnesota has double digit electoral votes. She also said Minnesota was Hillary's smallest margin of victory...it was second smallest, which at first seems not like a big deal, but her margin % was nearly five times that of her margin in New Hampshire, and her popular vote margin in Minnesota was twice that of Nevada and Maine. Side thought...Trump won four states by a smaller % margin, representing 75 electoral votes. , than Hillary won in Minnesota. That's just how ridiculous that election was, and why the Democrats need to get out of the panic mode they've been in since then and start reconnecting with real people.Other than Buttigieg's clash with Warren, this was the most respect I've seen the candidates show each other...except also Klobuchar's strange way of making everything sound like a snide backhanded compliment. "Well, my colleagues may disagree, but in Minnesota...(insert statement that is almost an exact rehashing of something someone else already said)."

^^ it was an old video of Pete to be fair. I’m sure he knows there were many prominent abolitionists when the country was founded, he was just doing the centrist thing by trying to bring people together with a pleasant fiction.
