I was at a bar last night that was filled with ECU fans. It was pretty exciting, and a bit annoying.

the sad thing is that EZU has won more national tournament championships in the last week than NC State has won in the last 30 years. or something like that /EZU fans

I actually watched the end of that ECU game, and the "head" of the CIT was reading the All-CIT Tournament team off of his phoneit was amazing
4/3/2013 1:58:26 PM

I work at ECU, and everyone on campus is super-excited. The bookstore is selling CIT Champions T-shirts today.
4/3/2013 2:49:24 PM
That's hilarious.
4/3/2013 2:51:35 PM
I had several ECU fans on facebook saying things like ECU is playing for a championship cant say the same for all those other NC schools. When I responded that third tier tournaments dont count and any school would trade a CIT championship for a first round exit in the tournament that actually counts, they were convinced winning that shit tourney was better. That is why their program is so shitty haha.

baby steps over there in greenville.baby steps.
4/3/2013 3:43:24 PM
Ahhhahah, looks like some fellas over at an ECU message board took a page out of TWW's book. They had a "poll skew time" of their own to take down Clowney's hit as Sportscenter's "Best of the Best".http://boneyardbanter.com/message_board/banter/2013/April/3/1393034.phphttp://espn.go.com/sportsnation/polls

if we had the horrid basketball tradition like they do, we'd be excited about a CIT Championship too.Fortunately, we don't don't. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5nklxLWIro

I'll say this. UConn treated the NIT championship as a HUGE deal in the 80s (http://www.courant.com/sports/uconn-men/hc-1988-nit-uconn-0329-20130328,0,4724122.story). They used it as a stepping stone to build the program in to a power in the region and eventually the nation.ECU will never do that because their footprint potential isn't the same but every program has to start somewhere..[Edited on April 5, 2013 at 10:20 AM.
