Glad I kept the Ravens D/ST benched...

...although my backup (Rams D/ST) may not do much better, despite playing the 49ers

Hernandez is almost guaranteed 5-6 catches and 50 plus yards.

Drop 1 player

B. Jacobs
F. Jackson
Green-Ellis

^I'd say drop either

Green-Ellis (although who the fuck else is going to run the ball...he's inconsistent, but puts up decent points when he has a good match up)

...or Jacobs (especially if the work load continues to swing Bradshaw's way on the goal line).

Favre vs CHI
Sanchez vs CLE
Fitz vs DET

I would just take Favre off the table, he's only had 1 good game, and Chicago's D is one of the best in the league. I just don't see him putting up the same numbers. Chicago has allowed the fewest fantasy points to opposing QB's this season.

Between Fitz & Sanchez that is a difficult one. Sanchez has looked TERRIBLE the last 3 weeks, and Fitz has lost Parrish. SO I think it's 50/50. Maybe an edge towards Fitz.

In my 16-person league, how am I looking

Lynch.

Portis is likely a game-time decision and a Monday night game. Even when he comes back they might even still split the backfield.

Quote :
"Portis (groin) sat out most of practice Thursday, fredericksburg.com reports.
Spin: The report adds that the "safe bet is on Portis sitting out Monday night's game" against the Eagles. Moreover, Portis, who is still sore, noted that he still can't cut like he wants to, which sounds like a red flag to us. Given his iffy status, combined with the Redskins' late kickoff and Portis looks like one to avoid this week."

Prospero, I would play Hernandez over Davis. Troy Smith is starting against STL and they have said that they are going to run the ball alot in this game.

Moreno

Quote :
"Head coach Josh McDaniels says the team would "like to get [Moreno] going" and that while Laurence Maroney and Correll Buckhalter may get a few carries, Moreno is one of the most important parts of the offense in Denver, the Denver Post reports.

Analysis: Moreno has been somewhat of a disappointment this season but with more carries earlier in games, the team is hoping he can produce more offense, which is exactly what fantasy owners have been waiting for.

I'd say Moreno all day. Just be prepared for Tebow to steal goal line carries.

Mike Williams is a stud. He's going to slay the panthers.

Well it's VERY unclear if Torain is even going to play, so unless you hear before Sunday morning who the starting RB will be in Washington, you gotta play Green-Ellis

Pick One WR:

Mike Williams (Sea) vs. Cardinals
Santana Moss vs. Eagles

Pick One RB:
Lynch vs. Cardinals
Wells vs. Seahawks

Leaning towards Moss and Lynch at the moment, figured I would ask if anyone had any differing opinions.

It's going to be tough to start Williams (Sea) after his performance last week, but I'd consider it. Santana Moss is matched up against Assante Samuel, and Williams lit up Arizona in their first meeting. Hasselback will be playing so that bodes well for his chances.

This is probably an unpopular opinion. Again, it's going to be hard to start a player until you know you can trust him again.

Ok- couple of decisions I need help with:

Arizona's Def vs Seattle
49ers vs StL

Pick 3: (ppr, return yards count)

Johnny Knox
Josh cribbs
Brandon Tate
Steve Smith (car)
Sidney rice (still unsure on if he'll play and if so what kind of time he'll get)

Randy Moss vs MIA

AND (pick 2):

D. Brown vs CIN
Moreno vs KC
M. Lynch vs ARI

Mike Williams... wayyyy more consistent

Definitely Hillis. Tough call between D. Brown and Moreno. Depends on how stout the opposing defenses are against the run

^ You gotta ride Hillis until he gets hurt. Tough WR call, but I'd go Bowe over Johnson, I think there's more potential for points with KC's offense vs the Broncos DEF.

one more time...

Defense:

Arizona vs Seattle
San Fran vs St Louis

both are home games

Receivers: Pick 3, .5 ppr and return yds count (20yds for rec, 30 for return)

Brandon Tate @Pitt
Josh Cribbs vs NYJ
Steve Smith (car) @ TB
Johnny Knox vs Minn
Sidney Rice @ Chi (not playing)

leaning towards Tate, Cribbs, and Knox (don't like anything Carolina)

TE: same PPR and yardage as above:

Greg Olsen vs Minn
Marcedes Lewis vs Houston

I'd go with Forte. I just say no to Buffalo RB's.

Pick 1: PPR league

Ronnie Brown (vs. TEN)
Shonn Greene (@ CLE)
Danny Woodhead (@ PIT)

problem is since we have return yds for individuals, we don't have return yds/td's for returns as part of defense/st (we are only defense for what it's worth)

I am still having a lot of trouble picking b/w Olsen and Lewis too... I know Houston has the worst pass defense in the league, and garrard has been nasty, but Olsen is hard to bench (a little easier going against Minn though...). Almost everything I read tells me I need to play Lewis, but still tough to tell myself I'm making the right decision

------------------------------------------------------------

^Well Greene is supposed to be getting an increased workload, as LT is starting to wear out. Woodhead is tough, but good for PPR, and Brown could have a great game, but it depends on what ricky does, and how much they need to rely on the run game vs having pennington throw the ball. I would say Greene this week, but I wouldn't think Brown would be a bad play either

^ I hate decisions like those. I think you gotta go with Lewis, but that is a tough decision.

Pick 3 WRs:
Hakeem Nicks, Mario Manningham, Brandon Marshall, Calvin Johnson....

I would think Nicks, Marshall, and Johnson are the obvious picks but people are pretty high on Manningham this week. Any reason to bench one of those guys for Manningham?

I like your choices too... can't bench a hot hand in Hicks. Giants will put up points, and if the cowboys recievers don't allow turnovers, it could be a high scoring game. either way, I think you go hicks over manningham. I was surprised to see how highly rated he was this week

Manningham is a decent WR3 option this week, but Hicks, Johnson and Marshall are too good to sit.

there are plenty of people saying marshall isn't going to have a good game though. But I couldn't start 2 NYG WR's while benching Marshall. The more I think about it, the more I see Brown having a good game

for whoever wants to know why manningham is rated so highly, they are about to talk about it on Yahoo fantasy football live show... I will report back (because I honestly have no idea why he is)

well from what I can gather, they just think he will play well because Smith is hurt, and the Cowboys are really that bad...

[Edited on November 14, 2010 at 12:46 PM. Reason : still wouldnt start nicks and manningham both though]
