^ I don't know how trustworthy this site is. They have been criticized for hype before. With that said there are indications in the models that a storm is possible. The European has been the strongest with this signal, indicating a fully phased Hatteras low moving up the coast and eventually off shore of New England. Verbatim it would spit out a few inches of snow for RDU, but there would likely be mixed precip.

^Which brings up something interesting. Nate Johnson posted about the Thanksgiving Snowstorm on the WRAL Weather Facebook page saying it is a very low probability event from a couple of models and that the people posting about this are getting views and clicks by posting this stuff on social media. Then several DIY weather folks including piedmont weather were brought up and one thread some guy with The Dooleycast (ugh!) really talked shit about the TV "weekend crews" and specifically Nate. As we have some amateur and professional meteorologists on here, and Nate is also a fellow NCSU alum, what do y'all think?
