Are there any good pictures of the courtyard by the Fox Labs (aka USTL). That was a nice area, but the only one I could find was when it was first completed and the grass hadn't grown in yet. Some girl stopped me and asked me what could be down to improve the look and I said that I really liked it and that maybe one or two large trees would add to it. I kind of wonder what they did with that survey.I like the area between Turlington and Alexander, and the grassy bowl in between Sullivan, Lee, Fountain, and Bragaw.

i have been watching Robert Crisp's interviews and highlight videos....this kid is LEGIT took home offensive line MVP @ Nike Camp over all seniors, as a SOPHOMORE.he has very quick feet for an offensive lineman, and its definitely noticeable that he gets his hands high immediately off the block. he's really going to be a stud for us. GG TOB for being an awesome lineman recruiter. it really is where the battles are won.

These are my favorite parts of campus

Just contacted the BME department about recruiting Daunte Carr. For the record, I'm an alumnus with no financial stake in athletics.
5/29/2009 3:15:10 PM
^wut? im an alumnus that was in BME. how does that correlate to anything football recruiting.
5/29/2009 3:23:30 PM
Carr's preferred major
5/29/2009 3:24:43 PM
...so?

Could it hurt if a recruit was personally contacted by a department of his preferred major? Also I don't run the risk of getting shut down like a student facebook group[Edited on May 29, 2009 at 3:32 PM. Reason : .]

a department that you have to matriculate into after your first semester and then be subject for review for?yes, i would think that would be sketch.if he wanted to call and get info on the program thats one thing, but the other way around is shady.[Edited on May 29, 2009 at 3:32 PM. Reason : .]

They're getting rid of the application part of applying into bme at some point, likely before his sophomore year would be.
5/29/2009 3:33:12 PM
lame.how bout we just tell him that bonerjamz04 has got him covered

5/29/2009 3:36:08 PM
well his username is bonerjamz...

what you are talking about doing is not wiseyou / your dept would be acting as a representative of the university and depending on the time of the year then it could be a violation.anything like this needs to be handled by the university
5/29/2009 4:38:48 PM
You guys are kidding yourselves if you think he will actually end up majoring in BME. The Manny Lawsons of the world don't grow on trees. Its always funny when prospects say how much they love computers and want to major in Computer Science. As soon as they set foot on campus they're in Parks and Rec.
5/29/2009 4:46:52 PM
You need to contact the compliance office.

***time out***The Triad = Gold, Berry, and Syme. Unless you lived there or know someone who did, you probably have no idea it exists. Shit, I'm not even sure it's called the Triad ... sounds right though.***time in***
5/29/2009 6:22:21 PM
the tri-towers?
5/29/2009 6:27:21 PM
Nope, I was right. Tri-towers=Carroll, Metcalf and the other one.
5/29/2009 6:29:57 PM
Tri towers for life The best part about the 12th floor of Metcalf was window HORSE with chick fil a sauce packets at Carroll"8th floor, 3rd window from the right....haha, that's H-O-R !"
5/29/2009 6:31:56 PM
oh yea, i knew that, some of the oldest dorms on campus.dean of boys actually used to reside in Syme for awhile back when the school still had that position...little known fact as well.

I always referred to becton, berry, and bagwell as the triad. We had some frat groupies who all lived in bagwell, and they were "the triad girls"Secondly, it's time to stop posting the tiki hut girls as being representative of the trim quality at state.. That shit was SEVEN years ago. If y'all can't post anything more recent, then we have a serious problem.[Edited on May 30, 2009 at 9:32 AM. Reason : asdf]

So what's the deal on Pete Thomas? Has he been offered by USC yet? Does it look like they will?I know he's coming to camp (at least for now), when is that, and do we still have a decent shot?
5/30/2009 6:42:20 PM
It seems like Alfy Hill is UNC's to lose, even though he says that he's re-evaluating his recruitment. He is looking to make a decision in mid to late June. It sucks b/c it's pretty obvious to everyone except him that he'd get more playing time here and would be better off since we have a consistent coaching staff. Also I think Willis is far and away a better d-line coach than John Blake. You can look at some of the BC players that he's coached as evidence.
6/1/2009 3:28:44 PM
Yeah I don't have a good feeling about Hill, but hopefully he'll hold off a bit and let us talk to him some more. I mean just look at the depth charts, I don't see why this would be that hard of a decision unless he just grew up a huge UNC fan.

this isn't football recruiting related, but BC's only remaining QB with any experience (Dominique Davis) was suspended for academic reasons and will transfer...BC is going to be terrible this season, and frankly they deserve to be.
6/2/2009 1:07:06 PM
Tuggle is already better than Davis. Don't sleep on these guys.
6/2/2009 1:27:58 PM
I think BC is about to start a run of bad seasons. They've lost some key players, then they lose their best player to cancer(hope he can come back) and now this. Not to mention their recruiting has been lackluster at best. They might have one more decent season in them, but I just don't see them competing for an ACC championship for the next 3-4 years.

^for a number of reasons such as: not being satisfied with 9 wins a year under TOB and then talking shit about him after he left (their AD said something about how TOB was "no fun" and "the fun is back at BC"), for firing a coach that took them to two straight ACC championship games simply because he interviewed for a NFL head coaching vacancy, because their fans are total douchenozzles who think they are the Notre Dame of the east and have a massive sense of entitlement, and lastly because Bob Ryan went there.[Edited on June 2, 2009 at 2:31 PM. 6/2/2009 3:52:33 PM
I don't really think Jagz wanted to be there, I think he realized he was terrible as a recruiter and took an out while he still had it, it was a smart play by him. He came in with a stout team there, rode TOB's players and then used it as a stepping stone into the NFL while "the getting was good." I don't expect he'll ever be a head coach in college again.
6/2/2009 4:13:00 PM
6/2/2009 4:15:50 PM
I fucking hate BC and hope them and their 200 fans get kicked out of the ACC sometime soon but I'm not going to take their football team for granted until they actually suck. They were supposed to drop off both of the last 2 years with new coaching/shuttling out of TOB players and still didnt. This year would make more sense, but still, not taking it for granted
6/2/2009 5:10:29 PM
They weren't supposed to fall off that much in Jags 1st year because they had Matt Ryan's senior year. They went 11-3Last year they went 9-5This year I would expect to see that trend continue.
