Can't blame the kid for going pro when he is getting almost $2m guaranteed.

*over $2 million guaranteed

I'm pretty happy about this recruit. Was this the kid who had an article written about him towards the start of summer basically saying State was his dream school and he was just waiting for an offer?
8/7/2019 4:57:56 PM
Yep: https://247sports.com/college/north-carolina-state/Article/Nick-Farrar-Hoping-to-Turn-Heads-This-Summer-Earn-NC-State-Offer-131068760/EDIT: an I know I answered my own question, just thought it'd be helpful for others to have the link too[Edited on August 7, 2019 at 8:23 PM. Reason : n]

Cam Hayes, a top 60ish 4* pg/combo g, just visited and many think will commit soon
9/10/2019 2:56:57 PM
Also, he reclassified from 2021 to 2020 immediately after he visited State. Was a 5 star 2021 recruit.
9/10/2019 3:29:59 PM
Oh yea thanks meant to put he reclassed, didnt know he was a 21 5*. Also I think he canceled an upcoming visit after our visit.
9/10/2019 4:24:56 PM
I just read some random article that said he was a 5* 2021 recruit, I have no idea what service it was from or whatever. But it seems to be positive news that he immediately reclassified after our visit. Looks like Louisville and Maryland are the biggest competition for him now.But getting him in next year would be huge to replace Markell. He'd likely immediately come in and start.]

Yeshttps://247sports.com/college/north-carolina-state/Article/Cam-Hayes-Commits-NC-State-Point-Guard-2020-Elite-4-star-135525576/
9/13/2019 4:54:37 PM
Big time, sounds like he is 100% in. Here's hoping he can bring in others with this class
9/13/2019 5:11:55 PM
Maybe he can bring in a backup PG as well.
9/13/2019 5:35:51 PM
6'1 160, eh?
9/13/2019 5:52:49 PM
He's 17 I think, just reclassed. Need to get him in our strength program. Also Markell is listed as 6'1" 175[Edited on September 13, 2019 at 6:05 PM. Reason : 3]
9/13/2019 6:04:55 PM
He's a PG, he doesn't need to be 6'10. I mean that would be cool, but unnecessary. Maybe we can get a grad transfer PG, because the thought of Harris playing meaningful minutes scares the shit out of me.
9/13/2019 6:12:15 PM
I'm not really worried about his height as much as him hitting the weight room, which I'm sure he will.
9/13/2019 6:19:11 PM
Whatever. Julius Hodge weighed 87 pounds.
9/13/2019 6:27:25 PM
easily KK's biggest recruiting get so far.

3* C Ebenezer Dowuona commits Looks like a project bighttps://ncstate.rivals.com/news/ebenezer-dowuona-nc-state-wolfpack-basketball-1
10/11/2019 3:15:10 PM
Keatts better be one hell of a coach because he's to basketball recruiting what Tom O'Brien was to football recruiting relative to our program history
10/11/2019 6:01:03 PM
I think the specter of NCAA punishment is definitely affecting recruiting right now.
10/11/2019 6:09:55 PM
Less than a month ago we got a commit from a top 50 player.
10/11/2019 6:49:02 PM
YEAH BUT HE WASN'T TOP 10
10/11/2019 7:25:53 PM
Needs = Ballers
10/11/2019 8:26:25 PM
Scroooooge

10/12/2019 4:00:26 AM
Thanks for explaining that to me I had no idea that having more talented players was better than having less talented players.
10/12/2019 6:47:12 AM
You just don’t understand, bruh.
10/12/2019 10:11:25 AM
^^^Thanks for helping our understanding, very insightful.Anyways, apparently ESPN gives him 4-stars.https://packinsider.com/2019/10/11/4-star-center-ebenezer-dowuona-commits-to-nc-state/ (PI!!!1)
10/12/2019 10:47:29 AM
So the goal is to get 1 star players, right? Lower stars = better like number of strokes if you're playing golf, correct? If only tower could explain this to me because I'm confused.
10/12/2019 1:26:17 PM
It would explain why the teams with better players win more games. Maybe he’s on to something.
10/12/2019 2:13:02 PM
the misconception I am trying to correct is the difference between where we are talent wise and where people may think we are. not "durrrrr 5*s > 2*s"obviously we arent going to be duke or unc level loaded, but we should be closer to louisville than clemson
10/12/2019 5:29:41 PM
I don’t think anybody is arguing otherwise. It’s been commented on before that Keatts’ recruiting has been underwhelming.
10/12/2019 8:05:09 PM
Yeah we should be closer to the program that has won a national championship in the last decade and has been a national power for most of the current recruiting classes lifetimes than the team that has had similar recent success to us.
10/12/2019 9:24:28 PM
"similar recent success" is 1 ncaa tournament in 8 years
10/13/2019 10:16:46 AM
Tower volunteering to be our new bag man. Call up adidas!
10/13/2019 10:34:14 AM
We are much closer to Clemson than to Louisville in the last 30 years.
10/13/2019 12:51:45 PM
cool, let's just accept that then so we fall behind shit programs like fsu and va tech
10/13/2019 12:59:25 PM
let's do something about it!
10/13/2019 1:09:09 PM
FSU is a shit program? They got more recent success than us[Edited on October 13, 2019 at 1:19 PM. Reason : A]
10/13/2019 1:19:31 PM
If they're shit programs what does that make us?
10/13/2019 2:33:49 PM
Since FSU joined the conference they’ve got more S16 (5-3) and more E8 (2-0) appearances than us. They also have a conference title. NCAAT appearances are tied 10-10. I realize they aren’t a traditional power but I’d kill for a ACC title. They also finished ranked 10th in the AP poll in 2012 and 2019. They had some lean years under Steve Robinson but Leonard Hamilton is a good coach and I trade his success there for any recent success we’ve had.[Edited on October 13, 2019 at 2:44 PM. Reason : A]

I mean, it shouldn't be that hard to figure out...Josh Hall: "I'm going to commit in the Spring." *visits NC State* *2-3 days later* Also Josh Hall: "I'm going to commit in the next 2 weeks."
