I mean, I personally hate chili ketchup. Just use chili, or ketchup, FFS! But, I had a buddy that loved it, and so I would always have a bottle of it around when I was cooking burgers with him.

I feel the same way about kneeling during the anthem. I would personally protest in a different manner. However, I totally respect the fact that people have the right to freedom of speech and to protest however they wish (legally of course), so let 'em have it; it's their right.

Long story short, when people go on and on about kneeling, I think that it has more to do with their hidden racism than it does with their love of the flag. If you love the flag that much, then let them embrace their rights.

When you look at the recent recordings of Reagan saying racist stuff with Nixon, and consider that Nixon himself was recorded saying horribly racist things and even admitting to the tactic of criminalizing things black people do to circumvent their growing civil rights movement, and further consider the thinly veiled racist rhetoric even Democrats used in the 90s regarding black communities, kneeling during the anthem to protest police brutality is the absolute tamest, most boring thing they could do.

The black community has every logical reason to be skeptical of the idea of America as it has been manifested, and of the white communities who have overwhelmingly voted for these racist policies over the decades. Most "white" Americans even were against resettling Jewish refugees during the holocaust.

No white person would tolerate any person being their leader and using the analogous rhetoric, if even such a thing exists, but black people have been living with horribly racist political leaders, local leaders, and bosses for their entire existence in this country.

Once you realize this, it's irrelevant if you view the target of the collective anger as being misguided, when the anger itself is fully justified.

Regarding this shooting. People like to think on a collective basis or an individual basis depending on the situation and how it suits them.

Pro gun and police authority folks with revert to a collective mentality in this situation and say “well this was one situation out of all the situations to have ever been situated” and then forget about it. It’s an inconsequential statistic.

Can't help but draw similarities between this and the Trayvon Martin shooting.
- Black person minding his own business going down the street
- Some dingleberry sees said black person, and assumes he's up to no good, even though no crime is observed. Dingleberry takes it upon himself to inject themselves into the situation.
-Some altercation occurs, presumably because Dingleberry is chasing an unarmed person with a gun
-Unarmed person ends up shot to death.
-In order to defame the victim, irrelevant shit from their past is brought up
