just got back with one from the eb games at crossroads, don't know how many they had but I can't find any spare wiimotes anywhere
1/26/2007 11:53:13 AM
I think Wiimotes are getting a little easier to find... A couple weeks ago I saw some at the EB Games at Crossroads... since they only let you buy one I had to get one along with my roomate and his girlfriend.... same deal with the nunchucks... so if you see some your best bet is to get a friend to follow you and buy one with you

eb games at new hope commons in durham had some last night..i picked up a wavebird so i could play mario 64

LOL one of the stories under National News is about the Wii water drinking contest. The news channel is pretty nice so far, although this is probably the only time I'll ever use it.[Edited on January 26, 2007 at 2:40 PM. Reason : of the]

1/26/2007 11:00:37 PM
news channel is amazing.
1/27/2007 12:12:01 AM
did the news channel say that there were a bunch of wiimotes at target?
1/27/2007 12:18:30 AM
i haven't seen anybody post this, but in case no one knows, the little cat that occasionally sits atop the news channel bar and the wii pictures menu bar contains lots of information...sometimes he runs and you have to catch him, but hit A when you touch him, and he'll give you some info about how to use the particular program you're in (such as highlighting text and sending it to your friends) this will come in handy since i have my email synced to my wii
1/27/2007 9:31:58 AM
So I just got a wii and now the remote just stopped working. Whenever I press a button the blue lights just blink. How do I fix this? Everything is connected.
1/27/2007 11:22:40 AM
you need to "sync" it with the system...take off the case where the batteries are on the wii mote and look for a red buttonthen open the flap on the front of the wii next to where the disc inserts...should be another red button. hold both of these red buttons down for about 10 seconds, that should sync it
1/27/2007 11:27:22 AM
i got an itrackr alert that said compusa on glenwood just got some wiis
1/27/2007 11:53:41 AM
or just turn off your wii wait 5 minutes then turn it back on. your stock wii should arleady b e sync'd it wont take but a second
1/27/2007 4:18:18 PM

1/28/2007 5:46:08 AM
^at 5AM on sunday? Which Wally?
1/28/2007 2:27:16 PM
I finally picked up a VC controller. If anybody sees chucks around, lemme know.
1/28/2007 3:13:16 PM
im trying to update my console...but its taking forever
1/28/2007 4:48:10 PM
One is selling for $315 with free shipping on ebay, hell with tax thats only about $50 gross - shippingthe days of ebay markups are numbered
1/28/2007 6:12:31 PM
^^^^ actually it was around 1:30 when I got it. it was glenwood
1/28/2007 7:23:49 PM
that would probably have been useful information the first time you posted :x
1/28/2007 9:10:31 PM
sorry, i was half-asleep when I posted that >_<
1/29/2007 12:27:36 AM
i got one on sunday from walmart. apparently, most walmarts got in about 20 sunday morning. i used this website, and it was accurate: http://www.ps3seeker.com/wii/i dont know if its been posted here before, but i dont feel like going through 50+ pages to find out.so far tennis is my favorite...i also got zelda, which is pretty cool so far. theres a little too much story boards going on at first for my tastes....but maybe that will die down more as the game goes forward more.
1/29/2007 8:33:58 AM
there were about 10 remotes, 6 nunchuks and 5 classic controllers at the rocky mount walmart this morning. i picked up one of each on the way home from work. just a heads up if it's worth driving there for anyone.
1/29/2007 10:45:58 AM
seeing that Mario Kart 64 is coming out on the VC today, I may have to pick up a classic controller sometime in the near future.
1/29/2007 10:59:18 AM
Easy question: Can you hook up a gamecube controller to the thing and use it as a classic controller for Wii and VC games?[Edited on January 29, 2007 at 11:08 AM. Reason : :]
1/29/2007 11:03:26 AM
^ yes, i think you can use the wavebird
1/29/2007 11:09:47 AM
if you go to the vc and look at the individual games and it'll show you which controllers you can use. you don't HAVE to have a vc controller to play a lot of them...you just turn the wiimote sideways.
1/29/2007 11:35:46 AM
We've used a wavebird with ours, it's interesting.
1/29/2007 11:43:15 AM

^http://wii.ign.com/articles/757/757738p1.htmlUpdates don't appear until noon on the VC.
1/29/2007 11:50:00 AM
thanks
1/29/2007 11:53:36 AM
http://www.ps3seeker.com/wii/that website is nice ( and free ! ) , but it has *unknown status* for shipment estimates to any stores other than wallyworld...
1/29/2007 12:46:55 PM
yeah, im not sure how often it gets updated....but it worked for me.
1/29/2007 1:00:17 PM
fyi, mario kart 64 was available for purchase on the vc as of 30 mins ago.now i have to buy a vc controller...damn it. it will work w/ the vccontroller or the gamecube one. i didn't really expect for it to work w/ the wiimote, but i was still hoping...
1/29/2007 1:18:31 PM
I'd buy a wireless game cube controller and not a "vc" controller. Things like Smash Bros Brawl etc are going to use vc and gc controllers, but I think the layout of the gc controller is more "intended" and more natural.
1/29/2007 1:27:22 PM
i didn't expect to have to own 203842937 controllers for one system, but oh well...i need a bigger drawer in my entertainment cabinet
1/29/2007 1:54:38 PM
haha same
1/29/2007 1:55:30 PM
but to be honest, its more then one system. its a genesis, nes, snes, n64, tg16, and a wii.
1/29/2007 1:56:21 PM
anyone having trouble connecting to the virtual store?
1/29/2007 2:07:35 PM
Does MK look any better running on the Wii? Is it worth the $10 if you've already got the 64 version?
1/29/2007 4:19:17 PM
i noticed that little cat too.....
1/29/2007 4:43:22 PM
Where else is the cat besides in the news channel? That's the only place I've seen it
1/29/2007 4:54:48 PM
thsi may be a stupid question, but the wii can use wireless internet, can't it?
1/29/2007 5:16:20 PM
yes. out of the box, it only supports wireless. you have to buy a dongle to plus a network cable in
1/29/2007 6:23:21 PM
^^^ photo channel as well
1/29/2007 6:40:19 PM
^^^^^^^^ and a gamecube[Edited on January 29, 2007 at 6:42 PM. Reason : ^]
1/29/2007 6:41:44 PM
One Wii on the shelf in Rocky Mount Walmart as of 15 minutes ago.
1/29/2007 10:53:44 PM
Why not go ahead and adopt the control scheme of MK64 to the Wiimote and nunchuck. All you really need is a stick (nunchuck), fire button (wiimote) and jump/power slide button (nunchuck),
