LOL. Remember the time Warren was a Republican?

And Trump used to be a Democrat.

That’s fine but good luck winning a Dem primary in 2020 running on “aCtUaLly We HaVe To DeFeAt ObAmA fIrSt.” There are political realities that need to be faced if a movement ever can even get off the ground. Otherwise have fun wasting a vote on Jill Stein and lurching the country further right. And if Obama said that (and that’s a big if considering how pragmatic he is) it’s plain stupid and wrong. If Bernie wins the primary it is absolutely IMPERATIVE that anyone who cares about the direction of this country full their full support behind him to defeat Trump.[Edited on November 27, 2019 at 8:05 AM. i mean bernie sanders has the most donations of any candidate in history, so we are fighting that wall and that's a fight that is done in the primary

Can't believe we haven't talked about Cenk for Congress yet. Hilarious to think about but I honestly think he'd do a great job.https://www.cenk2020.com/Also George Papadopoulos has declared on the Republican side. lol.
11/27/2019 11:56:22 AM
i don't think we've talked about any down ticket primaries in this thread
11/27/2019 12:00:28 PM
I think in general we should be talking downballot, state and local politics way way way way more than we talk about fucking Trump and the rest of the national political scene drama.

Tulsi hit 200k donors. Still needs one more poll for December but I think she's a lock at this point

Really confusing to me that Bernie polls as the best person to handle every issue and leads the field in beating Trump, but people still choose Biden. Clearly it’s not an age thing, so what is it?edit: just saw this related tweet https://twitter.com/_waleedshahid/status/1200268336841535490?s=21[Edited on November 29, 2019 at 5:48 PM. Reason : .]

My guess is one of two things - he's beyond the pale regarding remembering things incorrectly, or, like James Clapper, he's actually met with Kim Jong Un during classified/previous instances that haven't been published/reported on yet. If the latter is the case, obviously calls into question whether anything's been declassified about which he can speak. If the former, just more to the point that dtownral and others have been making regarding qualifications.

Steyer hit 200k donors and has qualified for the December debate

Kamala Harris is dropping out today
12/3/2019 1:03:42 PM
If she stuck with the populist language she started with she probably could have been a top candidate
12/3/2019 1:23:06 PM
12/3/2019 1:24:11 PM
^^ her campaign, from what I’ve read, was an unmitigated disaster inside.I’m not upset she is going to be able to focus fully on the Senate trial at all.. she’s the best the Democrats have at that by a mile.
12/3/2019 1:25:51 PM
She is out much earlier than I thought. Good to hear that. She paves the way for Yang and Tulsi.[Edited on December 3, 2019 at 1:43 PM. Reason : She's qualified for the next round but drops out. Wow.]

Did Earl Post about Trumps comment on how “Melania has gotten to know KJU” when she has never meant him?No? That’s because, much like Biden, it was a dumb mistake by a senile old man. (I didn’t post about Trumps mistake either because mendacious lying is different then a senile mistake)
12/3/2019 1:44:25 PM
https://youtu.be/18mZVTpWCOoChange “mary swanson” with “kamala harris” and this is me, after she grilled (i think) bill barr. It was a special feeling
12/3/2019 1:49:13 PM
I'm not a media outlet and all of them covered the Melania quote. Even if they perceived it as a senile mistake, they could report it as such but they have completely blacked it out as if it never happened. Its whataboutism which was less because it was done to prop up his wife's image instead of Biden's quote which was done strategically to prop up his political experience in the context of electability. Its misplaced whataboutism because this is the primary thread which shouldn't be about Trump. The irony is that your whataboutism is even displayed in the google search results because when you google "Joe Biden Kim Jong Un" the only MSM results you get are criticizing Trump for talking trash about Joe Biden with Kim Jong Un.
12/3/2019 2:01:26 PM
As much as I like Kamala for some weird reason, she's the type of woman that you can never really trust because she will turn on you at any moment. She's probably fun to hang out with, until you find out that she's secretly recording your conversations and sending them to CPS/your spouse/your employer/your parole officer/etc.

I'm already tired of seeing social media posts of what a great AG Harris is going to make. She was not a good AG in California, she will not be a good AG for America.
12/3/2019 6:43:43 PM
I still would have preferred Harris over any of the four Bs or Klobuchar. My current text reply rankings in 4 tiers:Bernie: "OMW" (100% has my vote)Yang: "I mean, I'm down" (would have my vote if he wins)Warren: "Who else is going" (firm vote unless she pivots even further right)Tulsi: "DTF?" (As long as shes "down to fight" for progressive issues, I'd be in)Booker: "I'll meet up with you over there" (maybe ill decide to vote for him later if he moves left but I'll most likely pass out on my couch early)Buttigeig: "HET" (tulsi will take care of him)Amy: "who dis" (should i vote socialist or green?)Biden: "A vote for Biden is a vote for Trump" (Why not start this? it makes more sense than similar quotes because they are actually similar)
12/4/2019 3:14:30 AM
ok trumper
12/4/2019 7:28:26 AM
horosho, under what circumstances are you going to vote for trump?
12/4/2019 8:41:51 AM
previously he had said warren but at least we've changed his mind on thatit looks like he would still help trump though if klobuchar, biden, buttigieg, or maybe booker got the dem nomination
12/4/2019 9:05:36 AM
Under no circumstances would I ever vote for Trump. I'm the only (or one of the only) people here with a floor on what I would vote for. Hypothetically speaking, I think most people here would vote for Trump if he was the democrat or furthest left candidate on the ballot. I wonder what the split would be like if George Wallace was the 2020 democratic nominee. I also doubt Warren wouldn't move further right after securing the nomination so don't count on it.
12/4/2019 12:14:36 PM
12/4/2019 12:20:32 PM
lol, someone not willing to vote trump out of office is criticizing everyone else here for what he says they would do in some make believe scenario that only exists in his head
12/4/2019 12:38:13 PM
Its not make believe because its been happening for a while now. I just happen to be capable of seeing the big picture of how this mentality has led to Trump and how it could lead to much worse in the future if left unchecked. It requires evaluating voting principles instead of just looking at individual politicians who are simply 4 year place holders. Politicians come and go but principles remain. Trump's shock value just makes it hard for people to take a step back and think about what they are doing. Thats the whole point of it. You never stopped to consider the the republicans are doing the same thing you're doing. They don't like Trump either. In their minds, the are just mitigating the damage caused by liberal politicians by voting Trump. If your philosophy is vote for the lesser evil, you will be voting for progressively more evil candidates each cycle until the lesser evil candidate is far more evil than the previous evil candidates ever could have been. Its a positive feedback loop. Can't remember if it was this forum or not but one time I explained it all in terms of game theory. I'll go back and look for it later this afternoon.[Edited on December 4, 2019 at 1:16 PM. Reason : k]

Pete is claiming he can't talk about his work with McKinsey because of an NDA. Seems a little strange for a presidential candidate to avoid talking about his work with a private company, and you can pretty much guarantee if he makes it to the general, we'll find out what kind of gross shit he did.
