this was the trivia question on the ESPNU college football podcast yesterday. It last happened in 1971, with the Big 8 finishing up 1,2,3

1. Nebraska
2. Oklahoma
3. Colorado

two ridiculous rumors today... THIS is the most realistic one: Mark Richt retiring at the end of the year. The two stupid ones: Mike Bobo or Derek Dooley will take his place, and Saban is going to Texas next year for a 10 year, $100 million dollar deal. hhaha

Right, because what Meyer's heart needs is a nice low-stress job like tOSU.

If he's taking a job like that then why the hell did he leave Florida in the first place?

This triple deck stadium at kyle has always tripped me out. Its like a real life version of that CF expansion fantasy someone posted on here.

I don't think Kyle Field's lower deck has as many rows as C-F's. Therefore if we were to add a third deck to the east side it would be farther away than the third deck at Kyle Field. I hope that makes sense. I'd love to add a third deck after they wrap the NEZ. That should be the first expansion we do. Kyle Field has a 40,000 seat student section. Can you imagine if C-F just had half of that? Our atmosphere would be incredible.

If we had a 20,000 seat student section, it would never, ever be full.

I've heard a few different media members remark lately about how exaggerated that whole health issue actually was. They weren't happy that he put a scare in people knowing he was/would be just fine.

No one actually knows why he left UF, but Ohio State is 10x the job Florida is. It's an easy choice if it is between those two schools.

I know I'll get flamed for this but why does TAMU have so many rotc? I know its not a military school so Is it just a tradition to dress like cadets or do they truly have a mega-rotc?

right.

how many people have you met that don't go to games because they don't have a way to get there?

We would have to double student population to get that many people there or start playing in bcs games. Neither seem particularly likely at the moment unfortunately.

^^Its not an issue of getting there. Its an issue of convenience for the casual fan. The tailgating scene would get a boost and people could drop in and out of the game without committing to the whole thing if they get drunk/sober/bored.

It's done wonders for UNC. Can you imagine how much tailgating we could do in the dan allen parking deck? Good call E. You tell em.

^seriously

"do wanders for the tailgating scene" what more out of what we currently have could you want? what we have now is pretty much perfect if you just want wide open tailgating.

off campus football > on campus football, honestly.

ncstate has perfect tailgating. must've changed a LOT in the last few years since I've been gone. And all this time I thought the SEC campuses had it right.

State has great tailgating, but it definitely feels more like an NFL atmosphere than college. Would love an on campus site.

Well, one, I didn't say it was bad, but if you assume it is, then I guess it would be bad because it's a college game and not an NFL game?

It's just different.

On campus equals dry tailgatIng. There are free buses for students.

Looks like his calf is down. No fumble.

I guess a calf or shin don't count like in the nfl.

Where is this? I got smashed last year on LSU's campus before the Bama game and it continued well into the night afterwards.

Its the rule in most places but nobody enforces it. This is for the grove.

Quote :
"Know and obey regulations concerning alcohol use. Drinking is illegal for anyone under the age of 21. County law prohibits possession of beer and light wine on the campus. Distribution of alcohol without a permit is illegal, and leaving alcohol in plain view or unattended is considered distribution. Thus, unattended tents and coolers are subject to inspection, and alcohol will be confiscated. University policy prohibits abusive drinking, drinking games, and mass or rapid consumption devices (kegs, funnels, shots, etc.). Public intoxication will not be tolerated, and violators are subject to arrest."

yeah right

^ If that's the case, everyone should've been arrested that night, it was awesome . Never had so much fun tailgating as I did in Baton Rouge for that game. Another perk was that it was the night the clocks went back since we were in Baton Rouge, they still had last call, but it was basically at 3AM.

And wow I turn this game on and LSU turns alive. I wasn't watching it at first, turned it on saw 14-0 and then bam LSU came alive.

Case Keenum should get the Heisman. I don't care about Luck or any of these other guys. 4,200 passing yards, 42 touchdowns, only 3 interceptions and leading a 12-0 team in C-USA to a BCS bowl game.
