I took the bait, wooo. Waited from the 9 min mark of the 1st until 3 mins left in the 2nd period.
3/4/2010 11:18:57 PM
Every jersey tonight was game worn. Ruutu had the Finnish team sign his
3/4/2010 11:20:51 PM
I waited in line too at around the same time as Steve missing basically the entire second period (and my picture ended up looking dumb). Sorry for the delay on the Mo Meter. I moved to the Charlotte area so I now have a 6 hour round trip commute to games. We are 7 points out of a playoff spot. [Edited on March 5, 2010 at 12:52 AM. Reason : .]

I wonder if JR is trying to stock up all these picks to try and trade up regardless of where we finish because for some reason they are playing ridiculously good hockey right now - it doesn't even matter who we have out there it seems. When we lost Cam I thought we'd be a lock for a top 3 pick, but Peters and Legace have manned the goal very well. I would LOVE to get Hall or Seguin, but the Canes aren't even in the same galaxy of suck as the Leafs or Oil.
3/5/2010 1:26:58 AM
I would also like to point out the EPIC BOBBLEHEAD IMPROVEMENT from last year to this year:It's almost shameful having the 4 baby doll faced ones from last year sitting beside this years on my shelf.
3/5/2010 2:19:31 AM
that is one creepy photographalso, i enjoyed this tonight:
3/5/2010 2:21:37 AM
Not sure I agree with some of the moves that have been made recently, but I'm willing to give JR the botd given my lack of knowledge.Psyched about the current win streak tho, keep it up Canes
3/5/2010 3:22:22 AM
what moves didn't you likei can almost see keeping alberts, but in all likelihood he would've been bumped by rodney/mcbain/borer at the beginning of next season

Losing Scott Walker hurt the most. He was the hero of our series against Boston last year and brought a lot of personality to the team. While I understand the need to have a younger, more talented team vis-a-vis draft picks, the fans rely on he heart and soul players like Walker to bring the knuckles when needed as well as a few clutch goals and to give that emotional connection to the players thus the team.

i had my eye on chris neil last night, and i knew he was gonna try to start something, but i was thinking. . . who can he even go after? who on the canes will drop the gloves now?
3/5/2010 9:02:22 AM
i watched the caps game as well last night...fuck.
3/5/2010 9:18:21 AM
3/5/2010 9:48:36 AM

3/5/2010 9:54:30 AM
Ahaha I haven't made it to a game since the crowd starting doing the GLEASON. That's awesome.
3/5/2010 9:58:59 AM
I hate it I didn't make it to the game last night, really wanted to see the medals and add to my bobblehead collection
3/5/2010 10:06:09 AM
last night was the first time I'd heard GLEASON being yelled during the anthem. I found it hilarious
3/5/2010 10:15:21 AM
I didn't even realize they were saying Gleason but that's pretty lol worthy. I'll have to pay closer attention next game. at that crowd for the medal pictures. Glad I didn't even bother going down to get in that mess.
3/5/2010 10:24:29 AM
Osala in the line-up? Thoughts?
3/5/2010 10:50:40 AM
Osala was not in the lineup last night. He may get the call up soon
3/5/2010 11:36:00 AM
^I was there, I know. I meant does anyone have thoughts on the kid? Pothier and Picard looked GOOD and I'm ok w/ Cullen scoring I suppose
3/5/2010 12:24:59 PM
we just can't buy a shutout apparently
3/5/2010 12:27:08 PM
Osala should be playing up in Norfolk this weekend for the Rats, I'm contemplating driving up there for tomorrow night's game. I, too, couldn't tell what was being yelled during the national anthem. Sound like random noise to me, but now that I know what it was, I am pleased. The Gleason part that is, I am familiar with JUSSI.]
3/5/2010 12:47:52 PM
it was just a couple guys in the upper deck(?) around 316 or so
3/5/2010 12:48:46 PM
^^^^ ahhh, thought you were asking was he in the line-up lol. I hope he gets some time soon.[Edited on March 5, 2010 at 12:58 PM. Reason : pothier looked good, sans his turnover.]
3/5/2010 12:57:51 PM
Peters starts tomorrow in Florida, Legace Sunday in Atlanta.WTF at playing at 7 PM one day then 5 PM the next with travel in between.
3/5/2010 1:57:27 PM

3/5/2010 5:43:29 PM

Good bounce back game. This week will be telling as to how legit this team is. Washington Wednesday, Pittsburgh Thursday, Phoenix Saturday (feels weird to say that last one).Heeey Atlanta cheerleaders.
3/7/2010 7:05:50 PM
This game looks like it was filmed in the early 80s, picture quality wise.[Edited on March 7, 2010 at 7:06 PM. Reason : .]
3/7/2010 7:06:24 PM
For the first time since April 7th, 2009, the Carolina Hurricanes have a shutout. I never thought I would see the day.
3/7/2010 7:28:03 PM
Umm. Mo Meter Fail?
3/7/2010 7:34:26 PM
^wat?
3/7/2010 7:43:10 PM
the mo-meter has a static addresswhen it gets posted, some people see the previous one until they refreshso they think an incorrect meter has been posted
3/7/2010 7:49:16 PM
Better now. :p
3/7/2010 7:54:09 PM
