For Food Lion shoppers - A lot of the Sunday paper coupon inserts are duplicated in the foodlion.com RedPlum coupons. You can combine a paper coupon with an electronic MVP card coupon.

Lots of things at HT this week

There is a deal for Kellogg's products...buy 10 products, save $5. It runs for 2 weeks. So it will run through Super Doubles. So I am not terribly impressed with the prices for the items included so I will wait and see if next week will be better with Super Doubled coupons.

http://www.harristeeter.com/promotions/store_promotions.aspx

HT released a bunch of new e-vic coupons this week. All are P&G coupons and all can be combined with Sunday's P&G insert.

Gillette Body Wash $2.99. $2 e-vic coupon and $2 MQ. $1.01 overage
Fusion Pro Glide Manual Razor $8.99. $4 e-vic coupon and $4 MQ. $.99
Crest Rinse 33.8fl $4.49. $2 e-vic coupon and $2 MQ. $.49
Oral B Battery toothbrush $6.99. $3 e-vic coupon and $3MQ. $.99
Dawn dish detergent $1.69. $.50 e-vic coupon and $.50MQ. $.19

The Oral-B Pulsar battery toothbrush is $4.99. I used the $3 MQ and the $3 e-vic coupon. And apparently I had loaded a $.75 e-vic coupon for Pulsar manual toothbrushes. Both e-vic coupons came off (the $3.00 and the $.75)

So it looked this on my receipt:
Pulsar toothbrush $4.99
E-Vic Pulsar -$3.00
E-Vic Pulsar -$.75
MQ -$3.00

AWESOME. I hope it works that way for others too.

Differences in coupon values between Raleigh and Durham

There is the first time I noticed it. In Durham, we got coupons for $1.50 off 2 Kotex liners, $1.50 off 2Kotex tampons and $1.50 off 2 Kotex pads. My mom (who lives by Crabtree) gave me her inserts yesterday, I noticed that they got $1 off 2 coupons for Kotex.

Strange

look at the spine and look at the edition....
ex....the 3 dollar splenda was in the SS 174-1 a few weeks ago and ours 173-1 did not have one. 177-1 also had the splenda coupon. These were all out of the N&O.

man the ad is so blah....

I have the Kashi booklet so I will get that...1.50 for 3 cereals with the free bars
I have a RC for 7th Generation so with the $1/1 it will be free
I traded for some wine tags so I will get some free bread

Other things of interest:
Free oatmeal from the Bi-Lo booklet
Free Baby Food
Free cheese

There really isn't much else exciting me unless something great comes out in the unadvertised special area....

I did go to HT today to do the P&G and saved 99.68 with coupons and vic. Spent 60 dollars. I had them print multiple receipts and should get back:

$30 Dos Equis for spending $50 in meat, produce, and other things listed on the rebate
$20 Smirnoff for spending 20.01 on groceries
$10 back from P&G for spending $30 on P$G
$3 back from Blue moon for buying a pound of chicken
$15 back from Heiniken for buying $25 in meat

So all in all I think I did way better today than I will do this upcoming sales week.

I have started to trade for them as they disappear quickly around here.

The Kelloggs booklet is at Lowes Foods where I live as well as the P&G rebate.
Bi-Lo Book at Bi Lo in Charlotte....
Earth Fare Book at Earth Fare in Brier Creek
KAshi Booklet....found at Kroger on MLK Parkway in June

Most of the other stuff I find occasionally at the gas stations or I just trade for them on A Full Cup. I traded .75/M&M coupons from the paper for the Dos Equis. I traded a Kelloggs booklet for 3 Newcastle 7 dollars when you spend 10 on snacks rebate.....I did this today.

I printed the 1.10 coupon; however, I am taking a few extra of the dollars

Ooooo.....where is the turkey hill coupon?

How much is the LA looks? I have plenty of the soft scrub from June....if you need more coupons, let me know. The Kelloggs book is still at our Lowes Food if you need one (the one at Brier Creek)

I'm doing:

Turkey Hill
Minute steamers
Krunchers
Muellers
Planters bars
Snackwells bars
Bic
Pillsbury Sweet Moments
Old El Paso stuffers
Silk PureAlmond
Lysol wipes/toilet bowl cleaner

I ordered $1 off coupons for Planters and Snackwells bars (instead of the $.75 off coupons in the paper which I already used). I also order the Slik purealmond ($1.25) and the minute steamers ($1) coupons special as well.

I don't know if you guys get the Kroger coupons in the mail but we get a booklet every couple months full of manufacturer's coupons. In the last one there was a $1/1 coupon for Naked Juice which is on sale for $3. There is also a new e-coupon for $1/1 Naked Juice. FREE JUICE

ok....

Buy 4 Miniwheats 2.47 only buy the ones with the Cars 2 codes

use 1.50/2 from 7/10 rp
use 1.50 off fruit when you buy 2 mini wheats (kelloggs booklets)

Turn in the 4 codes for $5.

So you would make money and get $6 in fruit.

My e-vic coupons that were re-added this morning (gillette, oral b pulsar, crest pro health rinse) didn't come off so I told the cashier and she just manually took $7 off my order

Which means I can still use my e-vic coupons next time

Here is what my brother got when we went:

3 Weber seasonings
1 box Cheezits
2 Turkey Hill lemondades
2 Old El Paso Tortilla Stuffers
2 Chiquita Pineapple Bites
3 Muellers 100% whole grain pasta
3 Soft Scrub Gel w/ Bleach
2 Lysol Toilet bowl Cleaners
1 Lysol Cling
2 Lysol Wipes
1 Gillette Body Wash
1 Crest Pro Health Rinse
1 Oral B Pulsar battery toothbrush
2 Dove deodorants
1 Clean & Clear astringent
1.07lbs Apples

Obviously if this was a trip for me, I wouldn't have gotten the astringent (shit was $3 after coupon) and the 2 Dove Deodorants ($2.50 after coupon no thx) but my brother was paying.

BC: $68.78
AC: $15.99

Ok so when it says only 20 coupons per household per day for super doubles, does that mean just the coupons from $1 - $1.98 or is that all coupons?

I'm assuming just the former...

only 20 coupons per day will be doubled

After the 20 coupons, the rest will be taken at face value ($1 coupon will only take off $1 during SD instead of $2 if you have already reached the 20 coupon max)

Sargento Shredded Cheese is BOGO free. $1.99 for 1. There were tearpad coupons for $1/1 on that Penguin display that was in all the stores a couple months ago.

I used my coupons already a couple weeks ago so I went ahead and ordered more from ebay.

Well just got back from my first "major" shopping trip using coupons. Guess I didn't do horrible since I just started getting coupons 2-3 weeks ago and only from newspapers and one or two random websites.

Total BC: $230.08
Total AC: $124.48

Total Saved: $105.60

And that was all food items. There were no toiletries, hygeine, laundry stuff, etc.

I would have gotten more but I hit my 20 coupon limit so I'll have to go back in a couple of days and get the rest of what I need.

I just got the advanced copy of this weekend's RedPlum insert...kind of boring but here are some good coupons to use w/ Super Doubles

Suave Body Lotion $1/1 coupon. On sale $2.50, $.50AC
Dimetapp Children's 4 oz. $1/1 coupon. On sale $1.99 (down from $6.59 ), free AC

Hot coupon to look out for. $.50/1 Gain dishwashing liquid. No size specified. On sale $1.19 @ HT, $.19 AC

OH YEAH. I meant to post this last night. But in the 7/31 SS there were a couple coupons that were only good at HT. One was for $1 off a Harris Teeter Thin Crust Pizza. There are also tearpad coupons out there for $1/1 frozen pizza (any kind, any variety) from Pabst Blue Ribbon. You can use both as one is a store coupon and the other is a manufacturer's coupon. I found my Pabst Blue Ribbon coupons about a month and a half ago at a Kroger in Cary. The pizza is $3 so the $1/1 HT coupon and the $1/1 MQ make it free

Last edit I promise.

Do not use the Turkey Hill coupons that have come out in recent inserts. Only use the one that expires 8/15/11. The recent ones start w/ 9 and will not double.

Ask neighbors/family members/coworkers for their coupon inserts from the Sunday paper. I get one paper delivered to my house but I get ~4 or 5 extra inserts a week from my mom and coworkers. Just ask them to set the inserts aside for you.

Aww, shucks, I think I used the wrong Turkey Hill coupons. I picked up some Ristorante pizzas on a whim, which increased my total by ten dollars...but additionally, I "felt" like I paid a few dollars more than I anticipated.

I am not going to say how many times I did it, but I will say that I had over 5 transactions that were 10 cents or less.
