So did White actually visit?
6/29/2016 8:35:22 PM
White = MayonnaiseNewman = Mustardnatureboy = Ketchup exposed??]
6/29/2016 9:20:59 PM
^^I think he just started and is notoriously slow, which could be a problem in late July. He also apparently has a father whispering in his ear, which is speculated as why he left Nebraska, especially in late June
6/29/2016 9:24:00 PM
Just listened to a pack pride podcast and now im pretty convinced we are making the final four next year

6/30/2016 8:38:23 AM
I don't think White visited. Newman and Kansas is apparently heating up and seems likely he ends up there.
6/30/2016 8:58:34 AM
twitter tells me newman is possibly announcing tomorrowany legitimacy to that for those that follow much closer than I?
6/30/2016 9:18:54 AM
It's Goodman Intel, that's as much as I know.
6/30/2016 11:05:41 AM
Yeah the only source I've seen is Goodman saying it, and he seems to really hope he goes to KU over NC State.
6/30/2016 11:23:44 AM
Well Goodman hates NC State so that doesn't seem abnormal.
6/30/2016 12:37:43 PM
Come on Malik. You let us down before, don't do it again. We need your personality on the team.
6/30/2016 1:18:35 PM
We've got too many level-headed butterstick recruits. We definitely need a potential cancer like Newman. I'm being serious btw.
6/30/2016 1:56:36 PM
White could also fit that role
6/30/2016 2:53:10 PM
Seems like since White was on campus and all the 2018 recruits we have eyes on, Malik is going to Kansas.Which may be better in the long run. That could be a valuable scholarship to have at our disposal.
6/30/2016 3:25:01 PM
^ how are we on scholarships now given the rush of new recruits?
6/30/2016 3:29:28 PM
12/13 usedbut i dont think it would be a bad thing to max out. i mean, its almost july, who tf are we gonna use it on? And a guy like white would be 1 year and newman might be 2. And if you think we lose DSJ, yurtseven, and abu in addition to anya and henderson, then there will be plenty of schollys available. Plus im sure someone will transfer. So i dont think you handicap yourself long term by using it now. (especially if on white)If it doesnt get used, I guess Spencer Newman might be awarded it[Edited on June 30, 2016 at 3:35 PM. 6/30/2016 3:34:17 PM
Was it parent baggage that was the rumor for White?
6/30/2016 3:41:47 PM
Who knows. Thats what that hit piece from that Nebraska dude said. Its either:He hates his coachHis parents tell him what to do and dislike nebraskaor (and imo this last one makes the most sense based on everything ive read)He wants to play somewhere that he can start and play a lot/score a lot (like nebraska) but also be on a good team so that he can get more exposure and recognition in order to be drafted (not like nebraska)I mean, I dont blame him, if basketball is what he wants his career to be, he needs to have the chance to shine but also needs to be on a team that is showcased more. If state can promise him that, thats great, as long as he doesnt make the team all about him more than the team. I mean, all of these kids have the same goal at the end of the day right?
6/30/2016 4:08:23 PM
6/30/2016 4:14:40 PM
It didnt happen.
6/30/2016 4:46:29 PM
what did I miss - who is White?Nevermind. Andrew White from Nebraska. Got it.[Edited on June 30, 2016 at 4:58 PM. Reason : .]

Terd Ferguson is too cool for school

So there's no way Rawle flips to state now right?States class moved up to 4th now on 247[Edited on June 30, 2016 at 9:06 PM. Reason : H]
6/30/2016 9:04:06 PM
what? why would he flip to state? even if he had an aneurysm or something and changed his mind, he would have to sit a year. i dont think we were even in his final 2-3.
6/30/2016 9:31:17 PM
I didn't know if he signed
6/30/2016 10:15:34 PM
signed on the dotted line it's how i live my lifetime
6/30/2016 10:22:36 PM
Malik Newman down to Kansas and Western Kentucky
6/30/2016 10:35:52 PM
^^^he committed months ago, why in the world would he have not signed? But even if hadn't signed, why would he flip to State?? ^
6/30/2016 11:14:14 PM
Clearly it was all about that (googles WKU apparel contract) Russell Athletic money. Adidas schools didn't have a chance (except Kansas)(and Miss St) ...as I joke, Mr. Russell laughs over a pile of CCU national championship shirts and cocaine.

6/30/2016 11:25:05 PM
Ugh, idk. I just remember last year that we thought we had a chance and at one point were close to becoming favorites for him. Sorry, geez. Once our shitty basketball season became super shitty I stopped paying attention to what all those recruits we whiffed on we're up to.
7/1/2016 7:56:47 AM
he gonna be a hilltopper
7/1/2016 8:42:56 AM
Kansas it is
7/1/2016 9:05:00 AM
be a body at Kansas or a god at WKU...still think he goes to Kansas. WKU fans getting trolled hard. Wonder if he'll Amile Jefferson them too.
7/1/2016 9:37:37 AM
I think JP was stating not speculating Goodman reporting he has committed to Kansas
7/1/2016 10:22:29 AM
Mark Thomas was wrong twice. About the same thing. On the same issue.
7/1/2016 1:37:50 PM
Isn't it pretty well established that he's the village idiot though?
7/1/2016 2:24:18 PM
If it wasn't then, it is now.
7/1/2016 4:16:08 PM
What are (were?) the tweets in question?
7/1/2016 4:17:30 PM
I think the mark thomas post deserved a "cool story" then move on. Im not sure the relevance.
7/1/2016 4:19:59 PM
What's there to move on to?
7/1/2016 4:53:55 PM
Nothing. Other than a small chance of White, this thread is prob about done with class of 2016 recruiting news.
7/1/2016 4:59:42 PM
^ok. lets discuss the next recruiting cycle. Assuming DSJ, ABU, the Turk go pro and we have 1 unexpected transfer, where will we be?Who is graduating?Who is transferring? Jesus we suck.Fire GOTT
7/5/2016 10:06:59 AM
Or we could wait to see how we do on the court, where it actually matters. Will we win an ACC under Gott?
7/5/2016 10:12:00 AM
Graduating: Anya, HendersonLikely/Potentially Going Pro: Smith Jr, Yurtseven, AbuLeaving:PG: Markell JohnsonSG: Torin DornSF: Rowan, KirkPF/C: Freeman, Kapita, HicksI fully expect Smith Jr and Abu to go pro, but wouldn't shock me if Yurtseven stayed another year in college depending on the transition he makes and likelihood of being a lottery pick. Could end up like Proehl from Utah who stays 2. The only person I could see transferring is Kirk, but it's hard to predict until we see how PT shakes out. That's still a solid starting 5, but we'll still be on some 4*/5* guys to come in. We were in good shape with some highly rated PGs to come in and take Smith's spot, but not sure how that looks now with us landing Johnson.
7/5/2016 10:17:03 AM
Wasn't the team petitioning for Henderson to get an extra year (medical redshirt for 2015-2016). I'm not sure if that ever got anywhere.
7/5/2016 10:20:10 AM
I don't think we'll be in too bad of shape for 2017-2018We'll still have: Markell Johnson (So), Torin Dorn (R-Jr), Shaun Kirk (Jr), Maverick Rowan (Jr), Darius Hicks (So), Ted Kapita (So). Also Spencer Newman who is a preferred walk-on this year but could possibly earn a scholarship BeeJay will be gone. Freeman may be gone if he doesn't redshirt this year, although it seems he might. Henderson will probably also be gone (unless he gets a medical redshirt for missing last season). We'll have plenty of scholarships, so hopefully we can pick-up another guard and a big-man recruit.[Edited on July 5, 2016 at 10:27 AM. Reason : late]
7/5/2016 10:26:48 AM
yes, getting Markell was huge. both for this year as a backup, and for next year as the presumptive starter. of course we'll still have plenty of scholarships to go around and there's always the concern of unexpected attrition.
