^^ aha, white folk and koreans only.^ i agree that they did not die on impact. If they did, then there would be no reason to 'meet up' and move on or whatever, because they wouldn't even know each other to do so. That whole spiel of the time of their lives that was most important wouldn't have even occurred. [Edited on May 23, 2010 at 11:49 PM. Reason : .]

Don't worry guys, plenty will be explained in next week's episode
5/23/2010 11:48:46 PM
so i already said this..if the alternative timeline was "pre-afterlife" then I still don't understand why Jack had a kid. I am guessing that his son never existed then
5/23/2010 11:49:00 PM
So if the alternate timeline was some sort of meeting place pre-afterlife, why did only Christian walk into the light at the end? And did Hurley, Ben, Sawyer, Kate, etc. just die LATER, after any event that we saw? Or were they not dead?
5/23/2010 11:49:29 PM
Nothing in bizarro world "existed"I'm not sure why you're hung up on his kid[Edited on May 23, 2010 at 11:50 PM. Reason : Christian just opened the door. Seems like the light took them all.]
5/23/2010 11:49:55 PM
5/23/2010 11:50:04 PM
How the fuck did Ben get out from underneath the log?
5/23/2010 11:50:10 PM
Apparently John Locke is just going to leave his new fiance now that he got some legs.
5/23/2010 11:50:12 PM
they were ALL dead. jack died before Hurley, Desmond, and Ben. They died after jack, presumably they were the last ones to die before everyone met up at the funeral home.
5/23/2010 11:50:48 PM
Locke didn't really have a fiance...
5/23/2010 11:51:13 PM
How did Locke happen to see vincents footprints?I'm AstralAdvent and i approved this message.
5/23/2010 11:51:28 PM
my personal opinionI think it ended the only way it could… open to interpretation. Think about it, if the show ended with a definitive ending it would’ve robbed every fan of what they truly loved about the show… trying to figure out what the hell is going on. Instead you decide the ultimate meaning without someone giving you the answer.
5/23/2010 11:52:02 PM
explain the lifeless hull of the crashed airplane then... there were always people around it when it was there, until the "high tide" [operating budget] washed the wreckage away.
5/23/2010 11:52:08 PM
Are they trying to say that dogs don't go to heaven?I'm AstralAdvent and i approved this message.
5/23/2010 11:52:16 PM
so really, what was the point of bizarro world
5/23/2010 11:52:29 PM
I didn't think about the wreckage at the end cause I was trying to process everything they had just said. I now officially assume they all died in the crash and the rest was some purgatory/hell place they lived in for 6 seasons then they got rid of their demons and got to move along.
5/23/2010 11:52:41 PM
Christian explained it, bro
5/23/2010 11:52:55 PM
So, the light (being the afterlife) consumed them all, since they met up and were able to let go of life? I can buy that...why were some characters (as mentioned-Miles, Walt, Michael, etc.) missing?
5/23/2010 11:53:08 PM
what christian said was vague at best.
5/23/2010 11:53:31 PM
IF THEY DIED IN THE CRASH THEN HOW DID PEOPLE LEAVE THE ISLAND?WERE ALL OF THE DHARMA JUST DEAD PEOPLE FUCKING AROUND?Michael was missing because walt couldn't be there because he's like 16 years old and was playing the part of an 8 year old. The others were missing because they weren't in the pilot.I'm AstralAdvent and i approved this message.[Edited on May 23, 2010 at 11:55 PM. Reason : ]

I was happy to see Lapidus and Vincent show up in the finale. Vincent was so sweet to lie beside Jack so he wouldn't have to die alone.
5/23/2010 11:53:47 PM
no for real, i get that bizarro world is where they meet up to 'move on', but if you just completely cut it out of the show you wouldn't miss anything at all. thus, it has no point.
5/23/2010 11:53:52 PM
horrible end to a series that started well and deteriorated after season 3
5/23/2010 11:54:03 PM
5/23/2010 11:54:19 PM
I'm pretty sure the wreckage at the end had nothing to do with the actual episode...it ended with Jack closing his eyes
5/23/2010 11:54:58 PM
this ending reminds me of a south park songhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sHdeR5QKvWU
5/23/2010 11:55:00 PM
ok Ernie, i know you are just a troll, but seriously, that bs they threw out in the last 5 minutes REALLY does it for you? It really is the fulfilling ending you were looking for? The whole series summed up with some vague, last minute exposition?
5/23/2010 11:55:48 PM
it was a great finale...will take a little bit to fully think about it all in retrospect. Kind of like No Country for Old Men where basically everything was explained at the end.
5/23/2010 11:56:09 PM
I was waiting to see Bruce Willis in the church.
5/23/2010 11:56:40 PM
5/23/2010 11:56:58 PM
so basically when the bomb went off they went into the matrix and charlie took the red pill to get everyone outand just like the matrix, life would have been more fun and interesting if they had just stayed in the matrix
5/23/2010 11:57:28 PM
it's not unclear what happened, by any means. that part of it is clear.it's still a copout.
5/23/2010 11:58:17 PM
2 major choices on endingone: everything was a purgatory/afterlife (both time lines) where everyone died on impact (both 'real' time lines (one on the island and the flash forwards) were just the island purgatory, and the after island purgatory) and the side reality is the purgatory they all meet up in and resolve things in order to move on.two: the side time line alone is the purgatory, for everyone that died, this occurs far after everyone has died, either on the island or after escaping the island. (doesn't really explain hurley having survived though when he got left on the island, maybe he was just picked up later). and it exists to allow all the peoples souls to resolve and move on in a way. you can even think that the realities folded in on each other if you want and everyone lives happily ever after...
5/23/2010 11:59:34 PM
look, we all know what they were getting at... they are all dead (at some point or another) and were (somehow) coping with it the best they could in some sort of vague, purgatory-esque existence that they somehow created for themselves. I just think that ending sucks and is a huge cop out.
5/23/2010 11:59:43 PM
Def a cop-out although I enjoyed the episode.
5/24/2010 12:01:20 AM
As much as they talked about they had the basic story idea planned from the start, I can't really see this ending justified that claim
5/24/2010 12:01:35 AM
5/24/2010 12:01:37 AM
I think the writers accomplished what they were going for. Look at the discussion going on here. This will probably go on for years.I think when Hurley said "You made a good number 2" to Ben, it was pretty clear both lived past Jack's death on the island.[Edited on May 24, 2010 at 12:03 AM. Reason : Hurley]
5/24/2010 12:01:42 AM
I probably wont talk about his series past the end of the week. Years? Please. the show just wasnt that good.
5/24/2010 12:03:27 AM
^^he was just calling ben a turd.^ ahahahahhaa, then you are a loser for wasting all that time on a show you haven't liked for several years.[Edited on May 24, 2010 at 12:04 AM. Reason : .]
5/24/2010 12:03:36 AM
IMO, that was the best ending of all time. I am really surprised at all the hate out there on facebook and the blogs.I don't see any way they could have ended it any better. I guess most people were hoping for a bullet point presentation to fill in every little question or loophole in the previous 6 seasons.I thought this ending was much more of a graceful ending for such a great series. Face it. They fucked up some in the past 6 seasons ok... some questions/loopholes just couldn't be answered without some contrived answers so they didn't even play that game.haters have to deal with quality storytelling ITT.
5/24/2010 12:04:19 AM
5/24/2010 12:05:03 AM
quality story telling isnt comprised of countless fuckups that cant be corrected. THat is in fact, crappy, story telling
5/24/2010 12:05:20 AM
5/24/2010 12:05:27 AM
ahaha. Solinari that was a REALLY bad attempt at trolling. I would have thought you could have come up with something a little less obvious.[Edited on May 24, 2010 at 12:07 AM. Reason : although it does look like you hooked your first victim. Lokken never was that bright.]
5/24/2010 12:06:40 AM
did Solinari really just slip up and forget to log in with the mambagrl account?
5/24/2010 12:06:44 AM
Its only thought provoking because it was so ridiculously convoluted and poorly designed. You can discuss it on and on because there is no valid resolution given. Its a hodgepodge of shit that happened.
5/24/2010 12:07:28 AM
could have been worse!!!!11
5/24/2010 12:07:55 AM
5/24/2010 12:08:06 AM
I'm not trolling... I really thought it was an awesome ending. You guys describe a better ending. It can't be done. Anything else would have just been forced and awkward.
