which TE would you rather have going forward? I currently have Zach Miller, who has been playing hurt and hasnt put up good numbers over the last two weeks (I picked him up off waivers once Jermichael went down). Here is on the WW right now, should I pick one of these guys up or hope Miller gets off the crutches and plays this week?Tony MoeakiTodd HeapVisanthe ShiancoeJacob TammeHeath MillerOwen DanielsGreg OlsonJeremy Shockey
11/3/2010 8:35:46 AM
^ I had to pick up Shiancoe, because Tamme wasn't available. I would go Tamme, Peyton will only get more confidence in him as season goes along. For this page, would you drop Kenny Britt for Austin Collie?
11/3/2010 8:38:02 AM
how long is Britt out? He's their #1 guy, while Collie is going to be anywhere from the #2-5 receiving option once he gets back (possibly behind Wayne, Garcon, Gonzalez, Tamme)Its a tough call since you cant really tell how effective Britt will be once he gets backhere is some new info on him:
11/3/2010 8:42:27 AM
Looks like a certainty that the Rams will try to pick up Moss.Get ready for ZERO effort for the remainder of the year.
11/3/2010 9:20:47 AM
11/3/2010 9:37:16 AM
does anyone else get really irritated with absurd trade offers?this guy floods people with bullshit this morning:
11/3/2010 11:11:27 AM
^and then they get bent out of shape with your outrageous offer and act like theirs was a legit offer
11/3/2010 11:20:20 AM
^^Haha...most of the trade offers I receive are pretty fair and even. Of course, sometimes I'll counter-offer, but I've never received that type of outrageous offer.
11/3/2010 11:30:00 AM
I hate to ask, for the probably the third time, but I'm still wrestling with these trade offers:This one has not changed:I get Jeninings and Ced Benson and give up GatesBenson and Jennings both will start for me...I'd pick up someone like Heath Miller or Kellen WinslowThe second offer has changed after I rejected it:I get: Austin Collie (or DeSean Jackson, my choice), Fred Jackson, and Vernon Davis and I give Antonio Gates and Mike Williams (TB).Collie/DeSean would start for me (would prefer but Collie but I don't know his status with his injury). I'd play the match-ups game with Fred Jackson and Felix Jones at my #2 RB spot (although Freddy is interesting...20+ carries in two straight games and is averaging about 70 yards since the Lynch trade...but he can't get in the endzone). And Vernon Davis can never replace Gates' production, but he's still a very good TE.
11/3/2010 1:00:16 PM
^look at averages and total overall points, looking at just the last 2 weeks is risky, unless they are subbing for an injured player. for instance, Gates has 120points whereas V.Davis only has 66. So while V.Davis IS a good TE and #3/#4, he's 50% the production of Gates. And Fred Jackson is 5-7 points a week, that's not great. Collie again, I think you need to know the status of before trading. I still don't think it's worth it as you're giving up ~190 points for ~182 points and I think Gates & Williams have better upsides. Collie could still be 2-3 weeks out, but would be a nice pickup if you're close to getting in the playoffs.i'd still take Jeninings & Cedric Benson, getting 144 points for giving 119 and you have 2 playable players and only giving up 1<rant>i get tired of people just NOT RESPONDING to trade offers.i made 6 trade offers this week to 6 different teams (in the same league). NO RESPONSE.NOT EVEN A DECLINE. At least have the decency to respond to trade offers if you bother joining leagues. And I know the people are active they were using waivers this week.</rant>[Edited on November 3, 2010 at 1:17 PM. Reason : 10 edits]

Dustin Keller V Det. orZach Miller V KC
11/3/2010 1:39:57 PM
^ Keller, better matchup and Miller is playing hurt.My question from the bottom of page 50:Guy offered me Miles Austin for L.McCoy. I countered with Austin and Ahmad Bradshaw and for McCoy and T.Jones (he already has Jamal Charles so he'd have a handcuff if one got hurt). Dude does not like to play Bradshaw and keeps him on the bench.I need a WR as I have Randy Moss, Desean Jackson, Malcom Floyd, Steve Johnson, and J.Maclin. I am starting Johnson and Maclin this week How pathetic as I thought WR was my strength coming out of the draft. I have Turner and Foster as my other RBs along with T.Jones and McCoy.Should I just take the Austin for McCoy deal if he rejects my counter offer?[Edited on November 3, 2010 at 1:59 PM. Reason : df]
11/3/2010 1:59:23 PM
^Wouldn't be bad considering how many targets Austin had in Kitna's first game and it seems that McCoy's value declines with Vick in, at least it did in the first part of the year.Who should I start at QB: Vick vs. Indy or Eli vs. Seattle?I also have Steve Smith and Bradshaw in my line-up so Eli would the 3rd Giant. So I am leaning towards Vick just for some variety.
11/3/2010 3:59:18 PM
^I'd go with Eli as he's been playing well and Seattle just got lit up by Oakland. Plus Vick is coming off his injury and could be rusty.
11/3/2010 4:24:32 PM
Am I the only one thinking now is the time to make a trade for CJ2K if ever?Moss to the Titans should REALLY open the field for him, but not sure what kind of trade would seem fair but I would still "win" in the end...(Yea, stacked because it is only a 6 person league this year, and trying to get another reciever and maybe cj before the deadline)BreesMarshallBranchDriverCharlesMcFaddenWittenWoodheadGoreMJDFelix JonesRonnie BrownMatt RyanRoeth (trade bait mostly, but most teams are stacked enough I might just have to cut him for something else)Aaron Hernandez (more trade fodder)Steve Johnson
11/3/2010 4:28:56 PM
RANDY MOSS CLAIMED BY THE TITANS!Yea, wow, should help CJ, hopefully this will be good for Moss as well.[Edited on November 3, 2010 at 5:14 PM. Reason : .]
11/3/2010 5:08:41 PM
Also Sidney Rice practiced for the first time today, could return anytime in next 3 weeks.
11/3/2010 5:30:05 PM
So now that Moss is a Titan, what does that do for Britt's value? Collie could be back this week, so is it worth it dropping Britt for Collie?or take a chance on Sidney Rice?[Edited on November 3, 2010 at 5:38 PM. Reason : .]
11/3/2010 5:36:47 PM
I'd be more concerned about britt being out for several weeks, and only having one notable performance.
11/3/2010 5:54:10 PM
ok in that case Collie or Rice or Breaston?
11/3/2010 5:55:36 PM
Collie or Rice, both their expected return is in the next 2-3 weeks tops, and maybe just Collie because he's proven this season and Rice has Favre as QB
11/3/2010 5:59:31 PM
I have a guy in my league who is kicking the tires on a trade for Brady. He is willing to give up Brees if I throw in another small piece. Should I see what he will take, or is that basically a lateral move?
11/3/2010 7:54:24 PM
So someone in my league just dropped Jahvid Best. He really hasn't made much noise since week 2, but with Stafford back, if he can get to 100% that offense could be potent. Just would have to hope Kevin Smith wouldn't eat into too many of his carries. My question is, should I drop one of these guys:Felix JonesMichael BushIn order to get Best? Note: This is non-PPR.Bush is in a run-first offense and even though McFadden is killing it lately, Bush is still managing to get a TD most weeks. And Felix Jones is a puzzle to me. You'd think with Kitna that Jones would be a more viable option and that they would look to establish the run, but so far they just have to air-it-out to keep up and Barber takes the goalline scores.
11/4/2010 9:59:32 AM
^I'd hold onto Bush, and ride him until he proves useless (given the semi-hot streak the Raiders are on).My question:Start Jacob Tamme (Colts replacement for Clark) or Tony Gonzalez at TE this week?
11/4/2010 10:05:59 AM
Who should I start this week:Vick v ColtsMatt Ryan v TampaEli @ Seattle
11/4/2010 10:20:20 AM
^^^You should absolutely drop Felix Jones and pick up Best. Best has wayyyyyy more upside and is the clear starter, unlike Jones.
11/4/2010 10:27:21 AM
^^Vick^^^That's a tough one, you really could go either way.I have 2RB in a non-PPR league, I have Arian Foster as RB1, for RB2 should I go with Matt Forte or Blount?[Edited on November 4, 2010 at 10:51 AM. Reason : .]
11/4/2010 10:47:39 AM
^^^definitely eli or vick. vick is playing in philly while eli is away, slight lean toward vick.^I say Blount. I think he's a stud in the making. There was also talk of Forte losing goal line carries, so go Blount.alright i have a dilemma. i'm in a keeper league (keep up to 4 players yearly) with 14 teams. 14 roster spots. my DST is the eagles and i really need to pick up another one to rotate w/them. the patriots and cardinals are probably the best available, followed by the panthers (there are like 6 total available DST's)we start qb rb rb w/t w/t w/t k dstmy problem is i don't know who to release. i have lots of guys that have potential for this season as well as keeper value:Name (Fantasy Points to Date)Brees (184)L. Blount (37)R. Mendenhall (99)Calv. Johnson (101)M. Wallace (61)J.Tamme (12)M. Nugent (54)Eagles (57)M. Stafford (36)C. Portis (34)CJ Spiller (61)P. Thomas (33)L. Moore (70)M. Sims-Walker (58)My top candidates to drop are probably spiller, thomas, portis, or tamme. spiller hasn't done shit yet but my league gives points for return yardage and i still think his keeper value is pretty high. that said, he'd have to really improve over the remainder of the year for me to keep him over wallace/blount/thomas/portis.I just picked up Tamme, but he could be a stud filling in for clark the rest of the year. Thomas and Portis are both productive backs when healthy, but neither are atm. I guess my other option is to just start the Eagles DST every week whether I think they're going to get torched or not lol.Thoughts?[Edited on November 4, 2010 at 10:50 AM. Reason : ]
11/4/2010 10:48:27 AM
Patriots if just for their SToh gosh, that's easy Portis & Spiller, even with Portis healthy he's not going to out produce Torrain, and Spillers a lost cause at this point. Pierre Thomas could yet come back although he's still on crutches, but he's a top 10 back when fully healthy. Tamme well the verdict is still out on him, has potential, but one game is not enough. So I'd drop in this order, Spiller, Portis, Tamme, and lastly Pierre Thomas if you must.Although I'd probably drop M. Nugent (54) before Pierre Thomas too, just because kickers are pretty easy to come by and can vary week-to-week. Thomas has too much keeper potential[Edited on November 4, 2010 at 10:58 AM. Reason : .]
11/4/2010 10:57:20 AM
No reason to have Portis on your team.Vick vs IndorStafford vs NYJPick 1 RB 1 WR and 1 RB/WR (Already starting Turner and Jennings)L. Blount @AtlJ. Best vs NYJR. Mathews @ HouD. Williams vs NO (might not play)D. Bowe @ Oak (Nnamdi might not play)J. Knox "@" BufS. Holmes @Det
11/4/2010 10:59:46 AM
11/4/2010 11:06:15 AM
ok i'll try to grab the pats for portis. ^^definitely vick. definitely blount and then probably mathews. could go with bowe if nnamdi is out, and knox is a decent option as well.
11/4/2010 11:09:57 AM
is vick playing this week? It will make the difference on if I pick up Indy's defense or not. If he plays, I won't, but if he isn't, I will. Other choices available:Atl (against TB)KC (@ Oakland)Cinci (Pit)Mia (@ balt)I have TB's defense from last week, and have no problem dropping them (i only picked them up because they are playing the cardinals, and tried to get Minnesota this week, but drod900 stole them from me on the waiver- grrr!)
11/4/2010 11:33:07 AM
holy shit, you would think that I stole your first born sonVick is going to play this week by every account I've come across
11/4/2010 12:03:42 PM
well with the byes and matchups I have, I needed a good defensive performance... YOU ROBBED ME OF 2 POINTS!and I think posting my disgust of waiver wire twice on this message board is not an overreaction at allSO TWW GURU'S, WHO SHOULD I PICK UP??
11/4/2010 12:22:08 PM
Ok so to go with my last question. Most upside rest of the season:Felix JonesJahvid BestReggie BushThis is a non-ppr league.
11/4/2010 12:23:53 PM
I like Atlanta, then KCIn one of my leagues, most of the guys are in Europe so they have first dibs after waivers clear, so I'm stuck with the buttfuck leftovers, like the Bills and Texans defenses
11/4/2010 12:24:57 PM
Pick a QB:Schaub vs SDRoflberger vs CincyI've got Roflberger going now since it is a Monday night game and he nornally plays well in big games.
11/4/2010 12:43:52 PM
leave it.
11/4/2010 1:03:52 PM
^Big Ben.With the trade deadline approaching, my league has saw a flurry of trade offers. I just got this offer:I give: Harvin, Hines Ward, and Shon GreeneI get: Colston and WelkerI have Brees as my qb, and he has Big Ben.
11/4/2010 1:05:48 PM
I have Hines and Welker on one of my teams. I wouldnt make it just because of that. Hines has been playing well since Ben came back. Since Moss left Welker has been shit. Colston is also not worth it.
11/4/2010 1:09:43 PM
^^Already answered your question:Best. With Stafford back he's going to start producing again.
11/4/2010 1:12:40 PM
my league gives points for kick return yards, and we get big bonuses for total return yardage at 75, 100, and 125. Lately I've been picking up whoever the return man against San Diego is going to be, and that's been gaining me over 20 points per week. I don't really like the league being set up that way though, because it seems like cheating. It helps tremendously when someone's on bye though.
11/4/2010 1:15:03 PM
Need a little help at WR this week...I've got Miles Austin (lock to start), Mike Wallace, Mike Williams (TB), Donald Driver, and Lance Moore...who should my other 2 WRs be?And at my RB...Chris Johnson is on a bye this week. So I've got Felix Jones, BenJarvus Green-Ellis, and Mike Tolbert. Pick two...[Edited on November 4, 2010 at 1:21 PM. Reason : as]

how does this trade look? non-ppr leagueI give: Big BenDesean JacksonI get:Hakeem NicksJeremy MaclinI have Aaron Rodgers and Mike Vick on my roster already. My WRs are Desean Jackson, Percy Harvin, Anquan Boldin, Santana Moss, Malcolm Floyd. He lost Romo to injury and has Ryan Fitzpatrick and Jay Cutler as his other QBs. His WRs are Reggie Wayne, Hakeem Nicks, Jeremy Maclin, Steve Smith (Car) and Mike Wallacealso, theres another trade that I could pursue:I give:Mike VickSantana MossI get:Calvin JohnsonLegarrette Blounteh? eh?
11/4/2010 7:40:08 PM
^ Either trade would work. Maybe pursue the 2nd one, then if that guy declines, accept the first one.The guy countered the trade earlierI get: Wes WelkerI give: Percy Harvin/Shon Greenemy wr's are :Harvin,Ward,Smith (car), Mossmy rb's are :Johnson, Mendenhall, Charles, Williams, and Blount. Is that a fair trade?[Edited on November 4, 2010 at 7:47 PM. personally I think Harvin is more valuable than Welker. It will be interesting to see how Harvin's production is affected by Moss's departure, but Welker has been bad the last few weeks, while Percy has been on fire. I would wait for Welker to have a good week before making that move.
