wtf. I don't like the moving interface. I'd like to be able to move (left right up down) adws, sfed, or hell even the arrow keys <- -> /\ \/. Kiting is so much harder having to constantly move the mouse back and forth between "run away here!" and "shoot this enemy".

I'm willing to bet this factor is going to be my downfall in future difficulty levels...

1.04 changes to legendary items look good, but don't understand why that wasn't in the game originally. Feel like we all wasted time looking for garbage and now have to do it all over again.

So after failing my hand at inferno finally I have a few comments, questions, etc.

1) Most of the elite affixes arent that bad. And even the most annoying things i've found (arcane vortex fire chains molten w/ innate knockback) is still better than multi-shot lightning physical immune damage reflect (a barbarian suicide booth if you will) from D2.
2) Its pretty simple to kite as long as you have a small space cleared out.
3) If you are soloing without a follower you should shoot yourself.

A) What should i be looking out to reasonable do Act 1 Inferno (currently 35k hp, 350-400 res, 9.5k dps wizard)?
B) Monk or Barb for a Second class?
C) Does anyone know where i can find the ilvl drop drops for hell 3/4/ponies and inferno 1

So I guess today is patch day? Should be interesting enough.

They did fix a few things for the WD, but they didn't address the survivability issue at all. Spirit Walk is the only active skill that you can use. Otherwise, its prepare to be wailed on while you wait 15 seconds for the ability to be back up. Maybe pets will help here finally, but last time I even tried pets (ignoring the survivability topic) enemies always ignored them and focused me.

Granted the proc coefficients for the class are still through the roof. They only fixed the 100% procs for the zombie dogs (very much needed). So I guess the other absurdities (including Big Stinker) are OK? All bad class designs shall be fixed via special doo-dads on gear?

Well, maybe legendary procs will be outrageous with the WD coefficients and I'll be giddy with joy. Here's hoping! (Though I suppose I need to find one first...)

absolutely, they're artifically doing what they did for d2 ....

giving players a reason to keep farming.

anyone who's at all convinced pvp is going to come out this mellenium is going to be paragon level 1billion, because it's a direct and blatant pvp advantage to have higher core stats.



"hard content" has never, EVER been a focus of dungeon crawlers, and pretty convinced it was a bad idea for d3 to try

After playing some WD yesterday for a few hours, I can say that the pets definitely help immensely. Enemies don't flat out run around them like they used to. Its still annoying that things like arrows and fireballs shot directly at me ignore pet collision and hit me, but its a start.

But the lack of active survival skills is still very much an issue with enemies with certain abilities, most notably teleport. That skill still ignores pets and the enemies are right on top of you. There really needs to be a deadzone (like with mortar) where they can't port next to you if you are so close.

Been running dogs, gargantuan, spirit walk, spirit barrage (manitou), mana spiders, and acid cloud (extra ground poison damage). Passives were Jungle Fort, Pierce the Veil, and Zombie Master.
Act 3 was fairly easy with this (excluding teleport and exploding fallen). I'm thinking I should switch Zombie Master since the pets don't have much survivability issues at the moment. I'm also using a zombie dog rune that leeches, so maybe I can switch that rune out for something as well.

^stack as much +experience/damage as you can get. Magic find in normal/nightmare isn't going to get you anything. The game doesn't start getting hard until Inferno.

Started playing again after patch. Nothing different really but I don't feel like getting into another game at the moment and D3 has turned out to be pretty casual friendly once you get geared up decently.

Guessing nobody else here hardly plays anymore.

I switched over to a whirlwind barb and its a ton of fun.

Takes a good bit more 'skill' than i was expecting but not too bad.

FYI the amount of experience needed to get to level 10 paragon is 1.3% of the total amount needed to get to level 100

Paragon is definitely what the game needed, but I think its too little too late. If they had it in from the start I think the game would still be going pretty strong but at this point they have lost so much of their fanbase.

lmao. desecration for a solo barb in act 3 is ridiculous. You can't stand still. If you stand still for 1 second, a desecration patch pops up. I see what they meant when they said they wanted to move away from the solo game play and make people play in groups

Up to 20k DPS. I know it's no 120k+++ DPS, but shooting Lightening Elemental Arrows is almost as bad as nuking Hiroshima, over and over and over again.

Gameplay is starting to get redundant. Excitement is starting to wear off

I got probably 5-600$ out, but that was back when the game was a little more popular. Unless this paragon thing has brought people back. I'm pretty surprised he was able to still get that much out, right before I got banned absolutely nothing was selling.

And it was mostly luck. My two big sellers were a really nice bow (I had traded 40m for it, which at the time was like 40$, sold it for 230$ before the 15%) and a sword I found while botting that had like 800 dps, 900 loh, 190 dex and an open socket. Sold that thing instantly for 250$.

The bow I sold was one of the new legendary manticore, that got me $200.

The rest of my set that got me the $250 was the old nats legacy set with the disc. bonus that you can't get anymore, which is why it had value.

Now I'm just selling off the last few items and should be at 500 at least. But 450 in the bank will pay for my vegas flight in a few months.

What I ended up selling was pretty sick gear, about as good as you can get with the exception of those top 1% people that just have insane stuff. I pretty much 1 shot everything in the game, and clear whims in 10 minutes without dying.
