why would you think the DA is looking out for the cops by making a spectacle about the evidence even existing? That just sounds like typical assistant DA incompetence.
6/22/2017 3:45:11 PM
Either way, they let a murderer go free.
6/22/2017 3:48:37 PM
6/22/2017 3:54:06 PM
I don't think it's the Jury's fault the judge refused to allow evidence, or the DA is incompetent or too friendly with the cop or whatever happened. It's also not clear this interview would have been enough to sway them regardless.

What is insane is how leftists cannot differentiate between acknowledging victim errors and justifying the police shootings. The right is always pointing out the victim's mistakes and crimes because the left is always IGNORING them, because you want race to be the big factor when it obviously isn't.
6/22/2017 4:30:21 PM
make a mistake? death penalty for you!
6/22/2017 4:37:06 PM
Transcript of the interview the day after the shooting that the judge refused to allow admitted as evidence:http://www.twincities.com/2017/06/20/transcript-of-jeronimo-yanezs-bca-interview-the-day-after-the-shooting/The cop never says he saw a gun.Which again, makes perfect sense since the cop couldn't tell anyone at the scene where the gun was and no one at the scene even bothered to go try and retrieve or to disarm the suspect.

I'm confused .... doesn't that hurt your argument more than help it ? (completely ignoring elusis of course). If I know you have a gun... and I don't know where you have it. And you go reaching for some shit. Am I going to think, "I bet this guy is super fucking chill and is just going to get his wallet out and since he's such a pleasant dude we're going to chat about tail lights and where the nearest autozone is."Or am I going to think, " I wonder if he's keeping his fucking gun that he just warned me about over there, and I'm telling him not to fuck with it, but dude is still reaching over there and not stopping, so time to bust a cap?"ESPECIALLY, in the context of "I'm a spazzy as fuck dude with no ability to ask pertinent questions or remain calm." Hurt your argument in that it introduces reasonable doubt that the cop legit feared for his life, because he didn't know for sure Castille was reaching for his gun.]
6/22/2017 4:49:59 PM
maybe think about HOW you know he has a gun (by his own admission). this guy's honest....he's going to KILL ME!
6/22/2017 5:15:02 PM
6/22/2017 5:20:00 PM
I'm not sure why the gun being visible is an issue... but wasn't the gun fully visible immediately after the shooting via the FB Live video?
6/22/2017 5:21:19 PM
We ignore the mistakes of the victim because those mistakes do not pose an imminent threat to human life and are not punishable by death without trial. Oscar Grant should not have been fighting on the BARTMichael Brown should not have moved towards the officerFreddy Gray should not have ran from policeEric Garner should not have been selling cigarettesNone of these are reasons to die and our biggest point is that the lives matter more than the crimes or "mistakes" they have committed.

one thing is for sure. if cops sit at the station and wait to respond when they're needed, this man is still alive.
6/23/2017 10:20:46 AM
^that tactic is sure to reduce crime rates.
6/23/2017 10:26:54 AM
it'll definitely reduce the number of folks killed after being pulled over for a broken tail light
6/23/2017 10:36:43 AM
Gotta love it when SJWs dishonestly frame the incident that way.

^^Really? It happens a lot. I knew a kid in junior high who was messing around with a gun, it went off, bullet went through the wall, ricocheted off a lamp, and hit his little sister in the head. [Edited on June 23, 2017 at 11:38 AM. Reason : sss]

Unarmed beat police as spotters, well trained response police at every fire station.

If only the US capitol police had a few more unarmed spotters, they could have saved Steve Scalise from that bullet.

This person was armed. But the two things that will come of this story is that the woman was white and she survived. At least she's currently in the process of surviving. She's in critical condition. We were heading to Topsail this morning and got caught in some eastbound rubbernecking traffic. Really sucked for the folks leaving the beach heading westbound on I-40.http://www.wral.com/officials-woman-dies-after-trooper-involved-shooting-on-i-40-in-johnston-county/16808247/

^Highway Patrol initial press release said she died. She did not (yet) but is in critical condition at Wake Med, hence the initial link title. ^^I had a friend coming back from a week at the beach. She was in traffic for 5 hours because of this.[Edited on July 8, 2017 at 11:22 PM. Reason : ]

Here are the po'po's, tipping the scale in the other direction. Two white women in 2 weeks.http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/07/17/australian-woman-shot-dead-by-minneapolis-police-after-calling-to-report-possible-crime.html
7/17/2017 10:52:44 AM
never ever call the copsnever ever ever call the cops
7/17/2017 11:04:00 AM
If everyone is afraid to call them, can we just stop paying taxes? I mean that's a public service that a large majority of our population are honestly afraid to use. Policing highways is one thing. But if you offer a service nobody wants to use, you go out of business because nobody wants to spend money on what you offer. Here we're forced to purchase police protection, and end up getting killed for it.
7/17/2017 11:07:22 AM
it's almost as if the state uses the threat of violence to extort money from the people
7/17/2017 11:11:00 AM
I mean I don't want to abolish police. That would be horrible.Cops are like spiders, you're glad they are out there but you don't necessarily want to see one.
7/19/2017 8:37:52 AM
and you would definitely kill one if it scared your lady
7/19/2017 8:40:30 AM
A woman lost her life because a cop with a twitchy trigger finger heard a loud noise.A loud noise.Maybe the lady should have waited to be approached and not approached the cops herself, but Jesus we've got to train these people to not be so scared. It also doesn't help when you have cop car ambushes like you do in NYC.
7/19/2017 8:48:54 AM
Its disgusting that the prevailing message when a black man is shot is that he should have just listened to the officer and now that a white woman has been shot everyone is clamoring for police reforms.
7/19/2017 9:05:45 AM
Who is everyone? The lady shouldn't have approached the vehicle. I'd say the same thing if the lady who called the cops had been black.
7/19/2017 9:16:54 AM
It's not like she charged the car with an axe. When you call the cops and they show up, many a reasonable person will approach to speak with them. It's why they called.
7/19/2017 1:01:01 PM
^^ So how far away should we all make sure to stand from police vehicles? I need to know for my safety. I think she should have stayed inside the house if she thought something sketchy was going on, but just because she went out and approached the vehicle doesn't mean she should have been shot/deserved it/brought it on herself. I can't believe it's always the same conversation and justifications here.[Edited on July 19, 2017 at 1:26 PM. Reason : sss]
7/19/2017 1:25:18 PM
AhahahaA pretty white woman was killed, and someone is going to pay for it! When a white cop shoots someone, it's like trying to pull teeth trying to get any details about the shooting. Now that a black cop killed a pretty white woman, his deets hit the front page one day later. It's a fucked up situation though. Probably a cop with an itchy trigger finger.
7/19/2017 1:28:38 PM
Guaranteed this cop will be tried and convicted swiftly because its a white woman.
7/19/2017 1:42:17 PM
white privilege is thinking the police will be subject to justice for killing you
7/19/2017 1:44:05 PM
it doesn't help that the white woman was shot by an officer that has managed to get three complaints and a lawsuit filed against him during 21 months on the job.I'd like to see the statement given by the partner that was driving. I'd be pissed if my passenger pulled a gun out in front of my face and shot someone through my window.
