yeah, Utah State looks like it'd be a fun place to go to a game
3/13/2011 1:00:45 AM
Its only a pressure 3 if they try to block it. You also remember theres not a 100% chance of a foul actually being called neither is there a 100% chance of the player who "doesn't care if he fouls" actually fouling when he makes sure the shot doesn't get off.
3/13/2011 1:36:14 AM
1) Why wouldn't they try to block it?2) A last second shot for the win/tie is always a pressure shot
3/13/2011 4:10:23 AM
Are we doing a TWW bracket challenge on ESPN?
3/13/2011 10:28:10 AM

3/13/2011 1:03:21 PM

3/13/2011 1:05:55 PM
3/13/2011 1:32:50 PM
Any chance Duke isn't the fourth one seed with the worst two seed in their bracket again? The Jimmer's in their bracket?
3/13/2011 1:52:45 PM
^UCONN, UNC SDSU as 2 seeds?[Edited on March 13, 2011 at 2:06 PM. Reason : nd/pitt should be the best 2 seed]

3/13/2011 3:35:52 PM
go penn state!
3/13/2011 3:44:02 PM
really, really weird seeing the Inside the NBA guys talk college basketball
3/13/2011 5:40:52 PM
Watching the Fab Five special on ESPN brought back some bad memories. I still hate Chris Webber to this day for ruining the 1993 championship game for me, and for ruining the Michigan basketball program. I still remember loving watching the rest of them play though, but I thought Webber was a bitch. Jalen Rose was my favorite.
3/13/2011 10:40:39 PM
^what he said... but i loved jimmy king just as much as jalen
3/13/2011 10:49:48 PM
Yeah Jimmy King was a close second in my book. Loved watching that guy play.
3/13/2011 10:54:08 PM
damn that was pretty good... very very very well directedmiss watching them play, win or lose. it was just exciting, the 5 freshmen starting lineup
3/13/2011 10:59:38 PM
Weber ruined the 93 championship for me too. But for a different reason
3/13/2011 10:59:53 PM
Yep very good telling of their story. No matter what watching Carolina win that game against a team much better than them on that timeout call makes me wanna punch a wall still to this day.
3/13/2011 11:02:01 PM
The final song was great. Reminded me of something that would be used on Friday Night Lights. This Will Destroy You - Quiethttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XROVlvrrV9UI thought it was cool that Rose was one of the two executive producers, and that also Rose, King, and Jackson were listed as producers as well. I think it's cool that they had some real input on how the story would be told. Brings some realism to the table.
3/13/2011 11:02:39 PM
^was just about to look up what song that was. thanks
3/13/2011 11:05:30 PM
yea that song was moving for sureMichigan is still cleaning up and rebuilding the basketball for sure...I love Beilein, and he will keep getting them to the tourney but in that princeton system i don't see making bigger things than the sweet 16 sometime, and that's still a big maybe... but that consistency of winning can set up the future for the maize n blue to be really strong again when the next coach comes around
3/13/2011 11:09:57 PM
was this not a 30 for 30 episode? felt like oneor are all those movies finished
3/13/2011 11:13:16 PM
yea, post-rock and sports movies/documentaries seem to go together (fyi, explosions in the sky did FNL's soundtrack. it's a good one)and the fab five documentary was very good.. i'm a sucker for these sports documentaries[Edited on March 13, 2011 at 11:14 PM. Reason : i don't think it was a 30 for 30]
3/13/2011 11:14:09 PM
I really want to see the HBO Sports documentary on UNLV.
3/13/2011 11:21:34 PM
^ just came to post that it's starting in 5 on HBOw. Gonna take a look.[Edited on March 14, 2011 at 9:57 PM. Reason : still don't know how they lost to THAT duke team]
3/14/2011 9:56:51 PM
3/14/2011 10:09:16 PM
id like to see what they could do w/ the 1983 run, but im not sure there is any controversy that fits in w/ it lol ... but i guess they did make some that were generally for sports awesomeness (like 'winning time')
3/14/2011 10:11:18 PM
I'm about to watch the Runnin' Rebels HBO Sports documentary. Yay for having HBO On Demand!
3/14/2011 10:25:26 PM
what are you going to eat/drink while you watch?tell us, we're dying to know
3/14/2011 10:26:41 PM

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/commentary/news/story?page=wilbon/110315Here is a link to the ESPN guys complaining about how the college game isn't as good as it used to be because of players leaving for the NBA.But, hasn't the NBA gotten better in recent years?[Edited on March 15, 2011 at 12:26 PM. Reason : hb]
3/15/2011 12:26:25 PM
college game isn't as goodnba game getting betterwondering why you put a "but" in there
3/15/2011 12:30:03 PM
I like Wilbon, but I don't understand his point with that column
3/15/2011 12:30:35 PM
Article is dumb. Since Duncan, the best college players always leave early. Now they at least have to come for a year, so the college game benefits.
3/15/2011 1:37:31 PM
100 years of NC State Basketballhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpCcwgushcI
3/15/2011 10:54:43 PM
I wouldn't mind seeing something setup for basketball like it is for baseballIf you want to go pro right out of high school, you canIf you want to go to college, you have to stay for at least 2 years (can't remember if baseball players have to stay 2 or 3 years)
3/15/2011 10:58:14 PM
Baseball players stay for 3 years if they decide to go to college.
3/15/2011 11:01:02 PM
Grant Hill responded to The Fab Five documentary and it is a pretty awesome read.http://granthill.com/hilltop/hilltop/grants-unedited-response-to-the-fab-fives-documentary

3/16/2011 5:09:31 PM
I care
3/16/2011 5:10:11 PM
Jalen Rose was just stating how he felt at 18. I don't think that response from Grant Hill was warranted.
3/16/2011 5:10:46 PM
^ If it was a non-issue... Jalen wouldn't have proactively apologized to Hill and Jay Williams before the show aired.
