yeah but i can just see us pressuring them all game with shots and still only tying 0-0just our luck
6/15/2010 7:54:45 PM
haha, I just remembered this oldddd Agoos video and figured i'd post it since for old time's sake:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nYgZ7mgBVZA
6/15/2010 8:40:06 PM
haha, I always appreciate my video getting some love
6/15/2010 8:43:59 PM
haha yea. it cracks me up big time still. I thought of it because I read:
6/15/2010 8:47:37 PM
I say we put in Torres and Buddle for Clark and Findley to start. They are a defensive-minded team, and their attack does not scare me too much. We could use some additional creativity and finishing prowess against the Slovenia D. We should play to score and then play to score more, considering group seeding could come down to goal differential if we can beat Slovenia.
6/15/2010 8:48:07 PM
yeah, Slovenia's compact defense will take away the effectiveness of Findley's speed. I, too, think Buddle should get the start.
6/15/2010 8:49:50 PM
6/15/2010 9:19:48 PM
It doesn't really matter if the US makes it out of group stage because they're going to lose anyway
6/15/2010 10:27:25 PM
6/15/2010 10:30:10 PM
6/15/2010 10:37:46 PM
the teams that have impressed me the most so far are Germany and South Korea. Brasil is Brasil and they are impressive but they looked like they just found the sweet spot, otherwise they looked pretty pedestrian against DPRK. Germany and SK dominated their opponents, SK could have easily had 4 goals
6/16/2010 12:49:51 AM
^I was hoping, as much as I hate DPRK (as a country), that they would've won over Brasil.
6/16/2010 1:31:35 AM
I was really impressed by the way the Ivory Coast held Portugal to a tie, and the way the Netherlandskept attacking once they were up on Denmark. Im surprised that Italy didnt blow there first opponent away in the first match.
6/16/2010 1:34:18 AM
South Korea has a good shot at the quarterfinals too, since they'll get one of the shaky-looking group A teams if they advance
6/16/2010 2:59:22 AM
^^Italy is overrated. They have no offensive creativity. You're not going to see them blow out anybody this year.My predictions for today:Honduras 2 vs Chile 1Switzerland 0 vs Spain 3South Africa 1 vs Uruguay 1they are probably wrong as hell...[Edited on June 16, 2010 at 7:10 AM. Reason : k]
6/16/2010 7:05:11 AM
Yawn.Up early because I'm curious to watch Honduras.
6/16/2010 7:30:45 AM
yea. hopefully we see a few goals this game.

lets go concacaf**excluding Mexico, oif course[Edited on June 16, 2010 at 7:44 AM. Reason : .]
6/16/2010 7:44:21 AM
I'd like to ammend my previous prediction and say a 1-0 win for uruguay.
6/16/2010 7:56:35 AM
Pavon looks like a washed up wrestler
6/16/2010 7:58:01 AM
That's the sort of goal I've been wanting to see every game. Chile just carved up Honduras.
6/16/2010 8:07:43 AM
Good build up and good things happen when you put the ball on goal.
6/16/2010 8:08:39 AM
chile is looking really good right now
6/16/2010 8:16:31 AM
Chile are a very strong team.
6/16/2010 8:17:29 AM
indeedthat Chile-Spain game should be pretty good
6/16/2010 8:24:18 AM
Chile always has a respectable showing. too bad i changed my prediction on yahoo at the last minute to Honduras winning 1-0
6/16/2010 8:37:36 AM
Pinball
6/16/2010 8:53:51 AM
what a save
6/16/2010 8:54:28 AM
Chile is my darkhorse to go very far in the tourney. If Honduras is good, Chile is really good. I dont think I've seen Honduras mount any kind of offensive effort since I started watching at after halftime
6/16/2010 8:56:35 AM
chile looks damn good
6/16/2010 8:58:56 AM
let's not get too carried away... Honduras did barely qualify from Concacaf, they're not a world power or anything
6/16/2010 9:06:06 AM
I've really enjoyed watching Chile play today. I think I'm going to pull for them the rest of this group. Also, that country has always sort of fascinated me -- I don't know why.
6/16/2010 9:10:54 AM
chile looked good today. buuut, it was honduras. we'll see what they're made of when they face spain.i'm expecting many goals from villa/torres today, and spain should put on a clinic.
6/16/2010 9:36:02 AM
yeah, not sure why everyone is surprised about chile...they were great all through qualifying
6/16/2010 9:40:35 AM
6/16/2010 9:47:09 AM
^they like their coasts.i would just like to see them stay out of trouble with FIFA this go around
6/16/2010 9:54:29 AM
Go Spain!
6/16/2010 9:54:50 AM
LET'S GO SPAIN
6/16/2010 9:57:46 AM
6/16/2010 9:57:57 AM
btw I found a pretty good site for streaming games for those that don't have access to ESPN3http://atdhe.net/index.html
6/16/2010 10:03:51 AM
a friend just went down to chile for school a couple weeks ago/jealouslol at having the options of fabregas and torres off the bench
6/16/2010 10:20:43 AM
It has to be frustrating as a defender playing Spain since they possess the ball the entire match it feels like.
6/16/2010 10:25:01 AM
Pique should be a damn forward
6/16/2010 10:25:06 AM
Are you allowed to run at a free kick like that (Spanish player that approached toward the ball)
6/16/2010 10:27:17 AM
It was indirect so they put a touch on it first and at that time you can bolt...And that is INCREDIBLE that Spain has never been past the quarterfinals. Wow...
6/16/2010 10:29:02 AM
brilliant ball...iniesta should have kept going to goal
6/16/2010 10:30:27 AM
iniesta deserves a yellow for that one. not for diving, but for not making something out of that beautiful opportunity
6/16/2010 10:31:26 AM
that was a stupid play by iniesta. why dive when you are free on goal like that. that's the second dive for him today, he better cut it out.
6/16/2010 10:33:23 AM
Is Behrami really not good enough to break the starting 11? Oh, he's out injured. Phew...[Edited on June 16, 2010 at 10:35 AM. Reason : x]
