The Panthers have a very low win percentage

Well the Giants finally came to their senses and fired Judge. Now the Panthers have inside track to the 2023 #1 overall pick!

https://twitter.com/benbbaldwin/status/1481271594223865856?s=21Trading for Darnold and then putting him behind this line was never going to be the answer. Teddy wouldn’t haven’t been the answer behind this line either, but going out and giving up assets to acquire a bad QB and putting him behind a bad OL was a bad decision. Firing the DLine coach and the ST coach isn’t solving this shit. Firing Joe Brady isnt solving this shit. This is what I mean when I said it feels like there’s no plan and no progress.
1/12/2022 2:07:04 PM
surprised to see the Bengals and Titans so low on the pass protection rankings
1/12/2022 5:15:57 PM
I am really enjoying this hilarious round of OC interviews. Klint Kubiak, Mike Groh, Scottie Montgomery and Ben McAdoo???? So two guys who got jobs because of nepotism and two extremely failed head coaches. Nice. This team is much more entertaining once you realize they are actually a parody of a real NFL team.
1/17/2022 2:59:54 PM
No OC wants to come in for 1 season only to get fired when Matt Rhule inevitably gets fired next offseason. Plus the fact the OLine is a train wreck and you have Sam Darnold for at least 1 more year if not 2.
1/18/2022 9:50:13 AM
There is no way Darnold is here for 2 more years. That would require him signing a 1 year deal, which neither side would want.1 year? 99.99% chance2 years? 0% chance3+years? *grabs popcorn* more likely than 2 years, still incredibly unlikely]
1/18/2022 1:12:19 PM
With Icky in front of him and a full season of healthy CMC, Darnold will turn into a pro bowler and we can sign him for 5 more years
1/18/2022 1:35:55 PM
I don't know why anybody would want to curse Ickey like that
1/18/2022 2:06:44 PM
1/18/2022 6:46:07 PM
Feels like Scotty Montgomery keeps failing up
1/18/2022 7:09:11 PM
Yeah Ben McAdoo is not an excellent coordinator and Montgomery got fired from Maryland after 2 years as OC. The only other playcalling he's done was at Duke]
1/18/2022 11:04:04 PM
Charlotte's own and current Huston OC that has no head coach, Pep Hamilton turned down interviewing for Panthers OC gig. I guess Charlotte doesn't got a lot. they should just fire Rhule
1/19/2022 7:42:07 AM
Yeah. Like Wolfey said a few posts up. It’s a lame duck staff (barring a major and unexpected turnaround) with a bad QB situation. Good luck attracting good assistants or coordinators.
1/19/2022 8:06:36 AM
they should hire Matt Canada go for the number 1 pick fire everyone hire Jim Harbough
1/19/2022 9:15:37 AM
unless Pep gets promised the HC gig after Rhule gets fired, there’s no reason for him to interview for OChe’s likely to be hired as a head coach somewhere
1/19/2022 4:14:36 PM
Ben McAdoo wins the most coveted OC spot in the greater Charlotte area.
1/21/2022 3:33:21 PM
I hope he coaches in his comically oversized suit
1/21/2022 4:25:00 PM
Ben McAdoo looks like two kids in a trench coat with a fake mustache pretending to be an adult
1/21/2022 5:27:21 PM
Payton leaves the SaintsBrady possibly retiring or moving on from BucsIf somehow the Panthers half way fix their offensive line 8 or 9 wins may win the division next season.
1/25/2022 3:16:50 PM
Here's something I was considering earlier today: if the Packers decide to move on from Rodgers (plenty of logical reasons, though I don't think it's very likely to *actually* happen), would the Panthers be in the hunt?I certainly wouldn't want to be, just given our situation and his age, but we were hot on the Watson trail and I can see Rodgers going for a similar trade of 2/3 firsts +/- some. And Rodgers' legal standing is much much much sounder
1/25/2022 6:34:35 PM
don’t see him as an option unless he really loves Charlotte [Edited on January 25, 2022 at 6:56 PM. Reason : .]
1/25/2022 6:54:19 PM
1) no way a a ron plays here, for a lot of reasons.2) trading the same thing for him as you would for watson is incredibly dumb. Legal issues aside, Watsons got 10+ years left in his career. Rogers is almost 40. Trading multiple first round picks for a guy who might not even play 2 more seasons is a TERRIBLE deal. The Panthers aren't remotely close to being in a win now mode, which is what any team trading for Rodgers would be. Trading for Watson is a long term fix at QB, trading for Rodgers is trying to win the super bowl next year.
1/25/2022 7:04:47 PM
1/25/2022 7:23:48 PM
Yes, but i think we can agree that trading that much for Rodgers is a bad idea. Especially for the Panthers.
1/25/2022 7:24:44 PM
Rodgers will likely retire before playing for another team.
1/25/2022 7:26:41 PM
I could see him playing for a West Coast team
1/25/2022 7:28:06 PM
I he has to go to the 49ers cause they always beat his ass the have a good D, good WR, and an O-Line. he's not going to the AFC. Thought maybe saints, but Payton is gone. maybe he starts a natural health store and V-jay-jay tanning salon with Shailene.
1/26/2022 9:22:38 AM
Why not the AFC, because the road to the Super Bowl would presumably be tougher? He is constantly being linked to Denver.]
1/26/2022 1:32:31 PM
Yeah i don't see the 49ers trading for him, when they just drafted a first round qb and they still have jimmy g (although his cap hit makes it extremely unlikely he's there next year). Trading for Rodgers would be admitting that drafting Lance was a mistake after only 1 year and almost no playing time.
1/26/2022 2:03:41 PM
Tom Glick, President of the Panthers and Charlotte FC MLS team unexpectedly steps down to pursue other options. This seems totally normal...
2/1/2022 2:16:24 PM
Either he did something Racist or he is about to get #MeTooed Or he said let me out of this dumpster fire before it completely poisons my career
2/1/2022 3:20:18 PM
Or he didn't want to have to deal with having his boss's wife as one of his executives, as she was given the title of chief administrative officer today.]
2/1/2022 3:43:37 PM
spent some money and signed a safety and an offensive lineman. to me that sounds like we're not in the watson discussion anymore. we'd have to give up too much to get him anyway imo.
3/14/2022 10:11:29 PM
Nah they're definitely still in the Watson discussion. But any deal for him is going to include shipping out McCaffrey. That's where the money comes from.]
3/14/2022 10:16:56 PM
I'd be fine giving up McCaffrey. I assumed Houston would want some combination of Burns and/or Chinn and/or Horn and I don't want to do that. It would already be bad enough to have no good draft picks for a few years to try and shore up the lines.
3/14/2022 10:38:34 PM
sounds like we're out of the mix
3/17/2022 9:39:23 PM
good
3/17/2022 10:15:32 PM
Can’t wait for the Baker Mayfield led Panthers to go 6-11 in 2022.The path forward seems simple. Shore up OL this year. Get a QB in 2023. This team is more than just a QB away. Baker would be an upgrade over Darnold. But just cycling through underwhelming veteran QBs is not viable plan. There appears to be no real plan.
4/19/2022 9:31:24 AM
Tepper sure is looking like an out of touch cheapskate this morningwhat a magical couple of years it’s been
4/19/2022 11:54:52 AM
Are you referring to the Rock Hill debacle? My understanding is that Rock Hill promised they'd get some funding, then didn't and tried to back out of their end of a signed contract. Now, whether Tepper *should* pay for the whole thing or not is a different deal, but a contract is a contract, and running what the organization (accurately, imo) termed a 'public slander campaign' doesn't help either.
4/19/2022 12:27:51 PM
he’s a billionaire who can easily afford to pay for itno public funds should go into any sort of facility
4/19/2022 12:29:56 PM
I'm not disagreeing with you there, but unfortunately, that's the way things are right now. Just look at the haggling with Bills right now or the Reds in MLB. If one city isn't willing to pay, another is or will be
4/19/2022 12:38:06 PM
Not really sure what the Reds have to do with anything. They have a relatively new stadium. Their fans are mad because the owners are content to rake in MLB revenue sharing income and field the cheapest roster possible rather than attempt to compete. The Reds aren't going to move. Ever.I don't think you can just take Tepper's word on what has or hasn't been done by Rock Hill. All these billionaires love to socialize construction and then privatize the profits and whine when they have to spend a dime of their own money.
4/19/2022 12:59:19 PM
Don't really care if Rock Hill reneged on anything, Tepper can get fucked.
4/19/2022 9:41:59 PM
Tepper being tied in with Charlotte FC will make moving the team slightly more complicated as he either has to sell Charlotte FC (at a loss more than likely) or find a city that MLS is willing to move into that doesn't have an MLS team (San Antonio, St Louis). Tepper is the richest owner in the NFL and the Super Bowl is how billionaire show off. Charlotte is never getting a Super Bowl there isn't enough luxury hotel space and hotel space in general. I am sure that irks Tepper and he is looking for a way out. Fans are already pissed and fan apathy won't be far behind. While Rock Hill and South Carolina share some fault reading further into this it didn't seem like Tepper and his group were much help. Panthers fans should be wary of Tepper. I for one don't like him at all. Never trust a bald man with glasses they are alway slimey
4/20/2022 7:43:14 AM
He is really trying to outdo George Shinn/Ray Wooldridge as the worst owner in NC pro sports history.
4/20/2022 8:25:32 AM
I trust David Cross
4/20/2022 9:57:44 AM
what a dumb line
