Covid or no covid….going to work while sick (like for real sick, not just allergies or sniffles or whatever) is fucked up. I know you gotta do what you gotta do to get paid and maintain job security. But exposing your coworkers to your sickness is at a minimum just really inconsiderate. Nobody wants to get sick. If you’re positive and asymptomatic then I understand there may be more gray area there. But yeah…it’s pretty fucked up to knowingly expose others to covid (or the flu or whatever other contagious shit it may be)

Yes, I think it's common knowledge now that being vaxxed isn't necessarily going to keep you from catching it, particularly the Omicron variant which seems to be more contagious and resistant to the vaccine (that's not the right wording, is it?). But it will keep you out of the hospital in most cases.

A lot of my friend's kids are starting to get it, which is upsetting. At this point we need to transition into setting expectations for how we all operate with this in the future. Do we just go back to normal? Do we add covid vaccination to the list of public school vaccines? Etc.

Unfortunately, Omicron reinforces the idea (with morons) that vaccines "don't work". That's going to be the takeaway for a ton of people. Uncontrolled spread among primarily the unvaccinated is what leads to mutations that escape the original protection.

Who are all these pro athletes that Stockton is referring to? I'm not aware of any examples of this... maybe that Danish soccer athlete (Eriksen) that collapsed during the EuroCup (although I don't think it was confirmed that was due to the vaccine, and very likely wasn't. I don't remember, maybe the vaccine wasn't even around then)?

How many c0vid related deaths could have been prevented if our elected leaders had made a serious effort to highlight the danger of being obese early on in the pandemic instead of just pushing masks and lockdowns for the healthy and unhealthy alike?
