Glad they actually showed Strand having some vulnerability and emotion. He had been painted this entire time as just a cold con-man. Also glad that they actually showed him outright being gay rather than skirting the subject. When he was with that drunk guy (taking off his shoes/etc.) he was getting awfully close for a random guy he just met at a hotel bar.
5/3/2016 9:25:58 AM
The pacing of this show is kinda odd.
5/9/2016 3:01:33 PM
Alicia
5/9/2016 3:46:42 PM
connor is going to come back with one armthey will call him el Gobernador
5/10/2016 9:59:15 PM
Found it odd they spent multiple episodes building up that "enemy" and it was wrapped up in 2 episodes. I mean I guess the one guy is left that was in love with Alicia, so we might see him again, and probably the Asian chick as well.
5/11/2016 9:06:19 AM
I'm glad they resolved that so quickly. It did feel like they were building this guy up, but it felt too much like jumping right into the played out Walking Dead plot lines.
5/11/2016 9:48:23 AM
I gotta say, that Connor guy was pretty weak not being able to handle his brother. Ditto the henchman that got bit immediately after Connor. I mean wtf was he doing while Connor was being bitten, just standing there in line waiting his turn?
5/12/2016 8:44:53 AM
Yeah both this show and TWD have both done a bad job with having "bad asses", or at least people we know can defend themselves, go down in the most ridiculous ways that just don't seem to make sense. They defend themselves well until that final one where instead of using their usual techniques, they just put their forearm in front of their face and take the bite.
5/12/2016 9:19:02 AM
there's walkers in the barn againim guessing Sophia will walk out with them too
5/16/2016 10:14:57 AM
Everybody hates Chris
5/16/2016 10:26:33 AM
even with the rehashing of TWD season 2 during that ep, I really like it. I'm curious what's going to go down now that victor shot Tom, which goes 100% against what Celia believes.
5/16/2016 2:57:21 PM
she is Hershel, so she is going to become the moral compass, then Connor (aka El Gobernador) will chop her head off
5/16/2016 4:39:49 PM
I think we can all agree that Chris is way worse than Carl. And FFS, if they don't realize BY NOW that he's seriously fucked up then they deserve whatever idiocy/hell he brings upon them.
5/18/2016 9:01:00 AM
What the hell is up with Chris? I understand he had to kill a guy but why does that make him want to kill his step mother? What was his plan? Walk in there and just stab her to death with that knife while Alicia is right there next to her? He gonna stab her too?
5/18/2016 9:51:28 AM
I think he didn't have to kill him at the time, he did it out of anger. Then he tried to justify his reasoning for doing it, and his step-mom said she understood. But then he found out she didn't believe him. And he's a little crazy anyways so he was thinking of killing her over that slight.
5/18/2016 10:23:30 AM
Yeah, the Chris thing is a little weird. He's dad had a good point earlier about him standing by Maddie when Nick needed help but Chris has now crossed a line.
5/18/2016 10:48:22 AM
I feel like Chris' actions are completely out of nowhere here. He went from normal kid trying to cope with zombies and the end of the world to homicidal in like 2 minutes.
5/18/2016 12:18:19 PM
^agreed
5/18/2016 12:40:32 PM
I imagine coming to the realization that it's the end of the world, and the dead are coming back to life and trying to kill you, and seeing your dad have to kill your mother might negatively effect some people more than others.(also, seeing the dying guy on the crashed plane and having to do his first zombie kill probably effected him too)[Edited on May 18, 2016 at 1:18 PM. This show would be far better if they killed off all the children. Carls part 2
5/23/2016 1:13:03 AM
What bothers me about the characters (not the show, just the characters) is that they are incredibly ungrateful and believe that they should run things there way, no matter the situation. Madison was highly ungrateful when Victor let them on the boat and kept demanding how things should be done. Now she's in a secure compound and she's telling people how they should behave and shows apprehension to follow the rules of that group. To me, that just seems entirely ungrateful to people who have saved your ass. Kudos to Nick for realizing that they are not necessarily the good guys. They just burnt to the ground one of the few sustainable havens to be found. Overall I thought it was pretty solid, but I'd drop Chris if he were my kid.
5/23/2016 11:46:36 AM
this show went off the deep endright off the tennis racketyeah, you though I was gonna say bat, but like this particular show, something unexpected is in there for no real reason
5/24/2016 12:09:34 AM
After watching the mid-season finale, I have to say WTF?! Half the cast just went nuts out of the blue? Just like that Daniel starts hallucinating and decides to sacrifice himself? And Nick decides that the walkers aren't dead? Which such a strong conviction that he ditches his family.
5/24/2016 8:19:34 AM
My thoughts exactly. Daniel was like the most level headed person in the group and out of nowhere he goes nuts and burns the place to the ground and starts slashing people in the face? And Chris went from confused to complete psychopath. He was holding a little kid hostage? wtf? He almost shot his dad, then literally tried to stab him in the face with a knife? Where the hell did all that come from?
5/24/2016 9:06:37 AM
Daniel and Nick had both been trending the way they went the last 2-3 episodes, plus they had an entire speech explaining why Nick would side with a woman he just met.Feels like TWD where they would concoct random reasons for the group to split up to have multiple storylines and such. I wouldn't mind if we just stopped following Travis and Chris and just assume they have been eaten. Hate losing Daniel and would rather them find Nick. I also found it interesting it didn't appear the crazy lady that thought her son was still alive in the cage. I was expecting to see her beating eaten, turned, or for her to attack Daniel. But it's like she just got away or was completely eaten, wouldn't surprise me if she showed up again.
5/24/2016 9:20:02 AM
I hate when people come in the Walking Dead thread and constantly complain, but I gotta say, that episode what bad. The cinematography I actually thought was great, but the writing was really just awful.Has the kid been slightly getting worse every week? Yeah. But he went way off the reservation all of a sudden and IMO they really haven't done a great job explaining why. Is it really, really hard to go through that with your mother and all this other zombie stuff while a teenager? Absolutely, but I still don't see them as having done enough to explain why he would just start killing indiscriminately and holding little boys hostage. The old guy has been one of the more level headed characters and all of a sudden he's seeing his dead wife and being haunted by his past so much that he kills himself while putting everyone else in danger?Meanwhile Nick has been the other character who seems to have adapted better than most to the new world and all of a sudden he thinks smearing blood all over him turns him into a divine superhero and is now deserting his family without getting a full explanation of what happened? And why is the dad running around with no shoes on? Did I miss anything other than he's finding it so important to chase after his son that he can't take 5 seconds to go get his shoes? (I may have honestly just missed something of forgotten from last episode on this)

8/21/2016 9:45:12 PM
I thought it was pretty good, lots of gore reminiscent of Romero. But one thing I didn't understand: When junkie is roaming the streets and towns by himself (not with the herds), why does he walk down the middle of the street in full-view of any potential enemies? Seems like he'd try to be a little more stealthy.
8/22/2016 3:07:13 PM
i wish they'd quit trying to make me care about this dillweed. boring episode for me.
8/22/2016 8:54:11 PM
I mean the guy seems naive at times, and he seems to just be able to magically avoid any deadly situation, so he probably doesn't feel the need to sneak around.Thought the "turning him into a zombie" thing was a bit heavy-handed, the whole having him get bitten, giving him a limp, and giving him a reason to have blood all over his face....could have done without that. Though I did like the use of the mini-herd for protection.[Edited on August 23, 2016 at 8:51 AM. Reason : .]
8/23/2016 8:51:48 AM
I don't understand tv and therefore almost never watch them. But I see a Mexican shooting zombies then drop bullets then pick them up and let zombies bite him instead of just getting back in the Jeep and running away. The zombies were moving at a speed so slowly he could have turned around and walked away from them for the next several days with zero threat of being caught.. That alone makes the show seem kinda ridiculous, right? Like what's the point if they aren't going to try harder than that to set up a plot
8/24/2016 6:47:41 AM
It looked like he recognized that Nick was in the crowd and still alive, and it seemed we were suppose to believe that terrified him to the point of making a bad decision. I don't get why the OTHER guy would make the same stupid mistake. Same reason I never bought the karate-master in TWD going down like he did when he was a proven survivor.
8/24/2016 9:04:29 AM
^lol yeah the dude with the assault rifle just stood there shooting as he was completely swarmed. Didn't even take a step backwards. The episode reminded me a lot of DayZ though if any of you guys have played it: wandering around trying to find food/water, finding a tiny amount in a water bottle, some crazy person smacks you with a baseball bat making you lose all your stuff, then random assholes start shooting at you for no reason .So what exactly Nick doing? He's going to Tijuana to "find a place that doesn't fear the dead"? I don't recall enough of the last season to remember his motivations. Why would he just walk hundreds of miles in the Mexican heat with barely enough water/food by himself where literally any number of things could be a death sentence?
8/24/2016 10:06:21 AM
This show has terrible writing. Almost every choice every character makes makes no sense. Defenders of the show typically argue "it's a show about zombies so it shouldn't make sense" or "stop comparing to TWD, it can't be as good", both of which are terrible arguments.
8/27/2016 12:17:08 PM
walking dead is terrible too
8/29/2016 2:13:10 AM
I don't get the logic of believing a building as large as a hotel would be a good place to setup shop. Too many rooms/entrances to check/secure. I mean I get the theory it would have supplies, but c'mon, you'd need a much larger group to secure that place. Also, it's one thing to ring a bell to see if anything is really close, but to bang on a piano repeatedly? Come on guys, you've survived this far, don't completely go against your characters because of a few shots.
8/29/2016 9:11:34 AM
I stopped watching this, I liked it at first .... but these people leave me screaming at the tv
8/29/2016 11:24:32 AM
I'm barely hanging on at this point. And I couldn't give two shits about Nick. Guy's a fucking idiot. At this point I feel like he deserves everything that comes his way.
8/29/2016 1:15:09 PM
Done with this stupid show and it's dumbass characters[Edited on August 29, 2016 at 5:23 PM. Reason : Bd]

I am interested to see how the pharmacist survived being bitten but that might just be a case of him having the supplies on hand to clean it properly before it got infected. I think the general understanding (from watchers of the show at least) is that it isn't necessarily the bite that kills you, it is a giant gaping hole in you without access to adequate medical care. But yeah, Nick is a complete idiot. Madison and Strand are both complete idiots. I get that you wanna get drunk but you are seriously just gonna walk in to a hotel and leave the front door wide open before you do it? Not even gonna check all the floors and stuff before you completely inhibit your ability to run and think clearly? Then you are gonna make as much noise as you can? They might as well just put a giant neon sign on the top of the hotel that says "Come eat us!"
8/30/2016 2:38:55 PM
I'm gonna say its a fake bite possibly by the woman who goes out with Nick, intended to make him seem more powerfuland the grocery gangsters are probably going to attacksome new character is going to show up and save strand and Madison from "last call" or they will just get out with little or no explaination, kinda like Khorl's lost shoethen some dumb shit that has nothing to do with anything is going to happenP.S. I still think Rick meeting Woody Harrelson in a yellow hummer would make a good superbowl commercial

i fastforward through so much of this show that at this point i have no idea whats going on
9/7/2016 11:08:56 AM
Kind of interesting to see how one of these "bad groups" gets started. Seemed like average guys and it spirals out of control. Chris is like a lesser version of Khorl, and that's sad because Khorl wasn't the best character. Not to be out-done by his bitch-ass dad that is annoying in every scene he's featured.Travis: "It'll be OK, it'll be just like it use to be. We can re-join our group in a few episodes"Chris: "I pulled a weapon on my step-mom and step-sister."Travis: "That was a season ago, they'll get over it, trust me."Chris: "Dad I just killed a man over a chicken."Travis: "Er...yeah...well...it's still not too late."[Edited on September 7, 2016 at 2:23 PM. lets let everyone know we have powermaybe Nick will see it cause some people were talking about someone that might be him!!I hope in a real apocalypse people aren't this stupid.East Coast survivors FTW
9/20/2016 12:41:58 PM
^Madison is a complete idiot. I thought Travis was the stupidest of them for constantly putting up with his son's bullshit, or maybe Nick for never taking off that old guy's clothes, but man she really takes the cake. In a building full of armed thugs (some of which probably were part of the Mexican cartel or something before the zombie apocalypse and would have no hesitation to shoot her), she can't stay still for five seconds while the guy goes to get the medicine, then just ask him when he gets back? She completely ignores everything she was told and just runs off because she heard someone talking about an American? Then the aforementioned issue of turning on the giant light at the top to announce to every survivor and every zombie within eyesight their location and that they have one of the most sought after commodities since the end of the world? At this point she is more of a liability than the crazy woman that stabbed Strand.
