Because we have no history with louisville in the ACC, this seems like the game I'll probably tell my kids about when "we started hating louisville." Like how my parents talked shit about gamecock fans growing up. All the makings to a good, "why we hate them" story.

If we shoot the ball well we should win, and with some authority. Coach Gotti is blowing a lot of smoke about how well they've played since Chris Jones was kicked off, but the fact is they've only beaten one legit team. That was a hobbled UVA team, with a score of 59-57 at home on a last second shot. ND and UNC handled them pretty comfortably and so should we. We out talent them at every position other than Harrell's, and have a deeper bench.

yeah I don't buy the whole "when one really good player leaves, the other guys realize they need to play at a higher level"

they lost a scorer and the lost depth. I don't care how high their hopes were for whoever it is that comes off their bench to take that role, but if he was any good he wouldn't be on the bench in the first place.

I buy it a bit. Tyler Lewis really didn't play well until Lorenzo Brown was out for those games.

But I think the point is, these are two very different teams in this match up than when they met earlier this season.

I think Tyler Lewis was different because he knew he was the only legit option at PG. The rest of the season he played scared because he knew if he fucked up once he was coming out of the game.

I still remember that no look behind the back pass to Wood for a three, so sick.

An elite 8 or Final Four run is vitale for State fan psyche. We have such an easy bracket and are better and deeper than UofL, so it would be the MOST classic NC State move to come out flat tonight. Fans won't easily believe until we can prove we can do it. I WANT TO BELIEVE.
