We played awesome that half, just not in the way we're used to. Most of our bullshit shots didn't fall early but our D was awesome and we executed a strong strategy to slow UNC down.

Need to keep it up, minimize the lazy turnovers and keep the ball away from Paige. UNC's bigs will eventually hit a couple shots but need to keep doing what we're doing and should be ok

Our offense was terrible. We made the circus shots. UNC missed the bunnies. Doesn't bode well for us.

However, both defenses were excellent. Hopefully we keep ours up.

is that Bonner or Brant that keeps mixing up player names? i don't know most broadcasters' voices well enough, but he was mixing up Turner, Washington, and Martin a few times, referred to Barber as Paige ("Paige has 8 points...") and was also talking about how Lacey switches off playing the 2 and 3 while he was handling point duties.

I don't think it was that fluky. UNCs bigs aside from Meeks aren't that skilled and they were trying to shoot over Anya. And Lacey went like 2 of 6 on bullshit shots which is below his average.

Provided we keep Anya on the floor, I'm only really scared of Paige turning on godmode and the refs fucking us in the second. Well that and the inevitable panic meltdown if we stay up ~double digits and UNC goes on a run late in the game

I'm such a jaded NC State fan I know how this movie ends. The refs will come out calling fouls they didn't call in the first half, Paige will score 30, we'll miss 15 free throws, the game will come to our last possession and Turner will miss a fade away three
