^^^ I'm normally pessimistic on things but give it a shot. One of the key talents to me required of an auto racing driver is car control. This should help separate the men from the boys when it comes to car control.
6/18/2015 8:17:17 AM
^exactlyreduced down force means more time off throttle and that's when you need a good driver the most
6/18/2015 12:30:32 PM
Indy cars have 75 lead changes with 25 to go at Cali....
6/27/2015 7:15:34 PM
^see, thats where i disagree with alot of people when it comes to NASCAR. "Good racing" is not defined by lead changes. The last Coke 600 I went to was the best race I've seen and there were 2-3 dominant cars in that race. However the racing from 4-30 was intense and going all night long. It just seems now you have 1-3 dominant cars that run up front and then from 4-30 everyone gets spaced out. What fun is it to watch a conveyor belt of cars that are all about 8 tenths off of each other because they can't pass because of aero?
6/27/2015 7:20:34 PM
Turn to NBC, this is unreal. Welp they crashed. What year was the 600 you went to with "great" racing. I was at the 500 down there 2 years ago and it put me to sleep. Also the MotoGP race this morning was excellent.[Edited on June 27, 2015 at 7:26 PM. Reason : ,]

1998 or 1999. The one Jeff Burton won over Bobby Labonte. I'm talking about when NASCAR racing was good, not 2 years ago.
6/27/2015 7:39:16 PM
I figured that.I still say indy cars don't belong on ovals, but man that was entertaining, and no one died.[Edited on June 27, 2015 at 7:47 PM. Reason : ,]
6/27/2015 7:45:15 PM
i have to watch indy on ovals with one eye closed. They're always one mistake from someone either being dead or seriously, seriously injured. Takes some real balls to do that shit.

Kyle Busch wins Sonoma. Question is, will he be high enough in the points to be able to make it into the Chase?
6/28/2015 7:31:28 PM
6/28/2015 11:12:40 PM
except for him, they do. Hes still gotta finish in the Top 30 in points. Hes 37th, 167 points out of 30th with 10 races to go. Hes gonna have to drive like a mad man to make that up
6/29/2015 12:00:17 AM
NASCAR race was the worst of the weekend as usual.Take that back, I turned to formula E for a few minutes. I couldn't believe the fuckery I was seeing. Pit stops were car swaps. [Edited on June 29, 2015 at 3:13 PM. Reason : ,]

F1 is the worst racing on earth. Anyone care to debate me on this.
7/5/2015 1:44:48 PM
^hah. as far as from a spectator perspective the Tour de France going on right now might give it a runalso: looks like rain is going to delay the 8:08pm green time they should have started this mofo at 1 or 2pm [Edited on July 5, 2015 at 5:23 PM. Reason : a]
7/5/2015 5:22:13 PM
they're having enough trouble getting folks to show up for a night race. daytona on a july afternoon? even less folks would show up.
7/5/2015 5:56:18 PM
^true but they in the middle of a remodel and only have 50k seats to sell anyway
7/5/2015 6:09:42 PM
yep, and they couldn't sell all of them
7/5/2015 6:54:54 PM
I bet they could sell out the race if they made the July race on the road course. They could also run it in the rain so weather would no longer matter.#Dreams
7/5/2015 8:59:44 PM
NBC execs must be so fucking pissed right now
7/5/2015 9:35:47 PM
They should be happy, NASCAR is not going head to head with the World Cup.NBC's crew is dull, we need some boogity boogity boogity in our lives.[Edited on July 5, 2015 at 9:54 PM. Reason : ,]

Good point. I'm sure their viewership for an 11pm green flag is going to be great
7/5/2015 10:51:51 PM
Meh its a boring ass plate race, viewership was going to suck regardless.
7/5/2015 11:08:21 PM
it's arguably the biggest race in the sport, so it might be an issue if viewership sucks
7/5/2015 11:19:23 PM
here comes a 30 minute yellow flag while they clean up the track#winning
7/5/2015 11:48:24 PM

https://youtu.be/84hz9w2GlV4?t=1m33sDillon lucky the car rolled so he hit fence with bottom of car.
7/6/2015 6:37:48 AM
No one was going to "die", they'd of just got a hot oil bath and smacked by some car parts. The Carl Edwards incident a few years ago was much worse from a fan perspective. With that said I told tt10 that Jr had it in the bag 10 laps into the race. NASCAR needs to add plexiglass between the fence and grandstand.https://instagram.com/p/4yQbB5zLHe/]
7/6/2015 7:16:48 AM
7/6/2015 7:45:16 AM
Start with the Chase, add Richmond and the 500. That race isn't even top 15.
7/6/2015 7:58:40 AM
^Southern 500, Coke 600, both Martinsville races, both Bristol races.
7/6/2015 8:16:56 AM
That was a pretty crazy flipalso I lolled at google when I searched to do a barrel roll
7/6/2015 8:30:21 AM
funny that NASCAR fans don't know what by far the biggest race in their sport is and accuse me of trolling http://www.jayski.com/news/pages/story/_/page/NASCAR-Televison-Ratings-2015#chartguess it's just coincidence that the 500 has higher ratings than any other race
7/6/2015 10:05:48 AM
You're the only one talking about the Daytona 500
7/6/2015 10:24:55 AM
When did I claim no spectator has died? And if you watch the video, he hit right in front of a packed grandstand. I mean I know you are a troll, but you gotta do better. You should probably leave our NASCAR thread since you can't do simple math. 2.5 miles X 160 = 4002.5 miles X 200 = 500]
7/6/2015 10:31:54 AM
Ok my bad, I was clearly wrong since I thought the 500 was last night. But I wasn't trolling, since the 500 is definitely the biggest race. And it was after some fan died at a baseball game I think and you were rambling on about how nobody had ever died at a NASCAR race. I think you were also claiming that NASCAR drivers were more of athletes than basketball players too.I don't know how you can't fathom that a piece of metal flying at 200mph might hit a spectator and kill them. I mean "kill" them[Edited on July 6, 2015 at 10:51 AM. Reason : .]
7/6/2015 10:49:23 AM
If you think the Daytona 500 is July 4th weekend then you should never post in a NASCAR thread.
7/6/2015 10:51:35 AM
I didn't think much about it
7/6/2015 10:54:37 AM
A NASCAR has never flown into the stands. The fence works.
7/6/2015 11:05:52 AM
The fence does work, and props to it. It also worked when Kyle tried to cut off Smoke a couple years ago and he got sent into the fence. But debris can still get through. Hot, metal debris flying at high speeds. It's not exactly perfectly safe to sit in the stands at a super speedway.
7/6/2015 11:10:43 AM
It is if you aren't a cheap fuck and sit in the bottom rows. Honestly I don't know why they even sell those seats since you can't see anything that low. When I go to tracks I get seats as high up as I can reasonably afford. Although I refuse to go to the upper deck at tracks like Charlotte because I'm a pussy about heights.I won't be surprised if they do a plexi-glass wall a few feet back from the fence to protect the fans.[Edited on July 6, 2015 at 11:18 AM. 7/6/2015 11:17:13 AM
It's not nascar if there isn't a reasonable possibility of being maimed by auto parts.
7/6/2015 9:43:10 PM
Meh, I think they need to do something about that sudden stop from hitting the fence.Speed never killed anyone, suddenly becoming stationary, that's what gets you.
7/6/2015 10:44:08 PM
how about they run the road course for the july race. the firecracker 400 kilometers
7/7/2015 6:10:33 AM
when will this "sport" completely die off?
7/7/2015 9:22:41 AM
The week after you and most of the country stop worshiping women beaters, murders and out of control thugs.
