I would guess that many people, however, when knowingly dating someone who is 'playing the field', would still try to earn a more serious and permanent relationship with that person.

I mean, it's dating after all - there's a goal: to separate the friend zone from the fuck zone. And if you're dating, chances are you're working to stay out of the friend zone.

let's be real here. the dudes involved are likely not upstanding individuals either, given their choice in companionship.

then again, maybe they're just really ugly and/or awkward, in which case

I imagine none had the relationship talk as it seems to be commonly avoided lately.

Regardless, if he texted you about showing up, it was expected that he was probably going to show up. However, I don't think there is a tactful way of telling him to not come.

"I don't mid if you come, but you should know I'm bringing a date."

Sucks for dude, but better than no response at all. I'm all for if they didn't ask no need to tell, but it seems he asked.

I honestly believe that this kind of shit comes back around to you.

Also, sometimes when you get older, you start to reflect on shit like this, and sincerely wish you had treated those around you better ... Especially people who treated you well.

regardless of subject matter. I hate ridiculing the only source of original content this site has had in months. On the other hand, why would you post anything personal on an public board.

Does no one else think the dude is CREEPY as FUCK? Reverse the situation, and say that Sawahash is a guy dating multiple girls and one of them randomly shows up kinda knowing where he was going to be for that night.

All of you guys would be calling that girl crazy... yet you feel sorry for this creepy stalker dude?

she never texted saying she would/wouldn't be there. it would be creepy if she told him she was going there with another dude and he showed up trying to buy her shots.

how do you know it isn't his usual spot as well?

If someone doesn't text me back... I kinda assume they aren't interested in me/want to talk to me.

Hence where the stalker part comes in.

Yeah, no kidding. That could be his local watering hole, and he could have thought to himself "well, I am heading there anyway...I'll check to see if Sarah wants to meet up there, since we used to go there all the time. Heh, no response.... Whatever...time to go get my drink on"

Obviously this story is just being told from one persons point of view... We should keep that in mind.

Could someone wise in the ways of the world chime in about whether this thread is "ho tendencies"? It might settle a debate.

I wouldn't call that girl crazy though. I've been the kind ear on that a bajillion times: "He hasn't texted me back yet, but I'm pretty sure he's going there later. Should I just go up there?"

"I dunno. I probably wouldn't if he hasn't texted you."

And then we go back and forth for thirty minutes theorizing why he hasn't texted her back, plotting out possible scenarios, making a pros/cons list of going up there, eventually discussing what to expect and how to act when she goes up there...because we've known the whole time that she's definitely going up there...

Sadly, this conversation makes up a big part of a typical Friday night for me. And it never ends with a tearful phone call about how she walked up to him, and the guy made out with another woman right in front of her. Adults shouldn't treat one another that way.

And, really, as far as I can tell, adults generally don't engage in public displays affection outside of 2 AM on the very dark part of the patio. Regulars aren't tryna ruin their primary bar by openly "dating" everybody there.

It's not creepy bc knowing where sawahash lives there arent exactly a whole bunch of local bars to choose from.

While kissing someone in front of someone she was seeing was a bit uncalled for, she didn't set out to treat this guy poorly. They hadn't seen each other in over two weeks. She made no promises to him about being exclusive, and she didn't tell him what she was doing on her birthday...

Dude took it upon himself to show up and be awkward, and he's probably a bit clueless on social cues. I say she dodged a bullet.

You guys that are "assuming" that things are exclusive after "x" amount of dates are setting yourself up to be hurt. Until you have that conversation about being exclusive, even if it's on the first date, then you cannot assume that you are the only one they have interest in.

sawahashbrowns assumed he came there specifically to find her (which is not surprising, given the inflated ego), then did something pretty damn mean.

imo he dodged a bullet

Women ( and men for that matter) exhibit "hoe tendencies" after a recent breakup. Maybe that's the case. Everyone like a boost in their self esteem. Maybe she got some from the chase.

it's Emerald Isle; there's all of about 4 bars on the entire 15 mile long island. My money would be on this happening at the Sheraton Pier where everyone seems to congregate on Thursday and Friday night down there, since going into New Bern/Morehead is a guaranteed drive through a checkpoint on the bridge in the summer.

So are you marrying the guy (ex) you got together with on June 6, 2014 and kissed while you were intoxicated, right after you had dumped the 3 guys whom you were simultaneously dating up until the end of May 2014?

I married the guy that I invited to come to my birthday that I had known since kindergarten.

I actually had forgotten about all that stuff that happened until I saw this thread again and the question.
The most ironic thing about all of that, is my husband was the last of the guys that I thought I would start a relationship with. It was more along the lines of thinking he would just be a fun friend to reconnect with...little did I know that in just a little over 4 years we would have been getting married.
