http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/04/30/donald-sterling-banned-bunny-ranch_n_5235320.html

Quote :
"Donald Sterling is not only banned for life from the Los Angeles Clippers and the NBA, a Nevada brothel owner also wants nothing to do with him.

Dennis Hof has banned Sterling for life from ever entering the doors of the Bunny Ranch near Carson City, Nevada, and any of his six other brothels in the state.

"A lot of NBA players come here to party," Hof told The Huffington Post. "Out of respect to them, we have banned Sterling from coming here."

Hof says his sense of confidentiality prohibits him from confirming or denying if Sterling has ever visited his brothels.

"I can tell you this: Johnny Buss, one of the owners of the Los Angeles Lakers, and I have had a dual birthday party at the Bunny Ranch for the last 18 years, so a lot of NBA people have been here," he said.

Hof's stand against Sterling isn't only in support of the basketball players who've had to deal with the billionaire's alleged racism over the years.

"At any given time, 20 to 23 percent of the prostitutes here are African-American," Hof said. "And they're smoking hot. Some of them were crying this morning so we're doing this for them as well. We don't need racists or bigots at the Bunny Ranch."

Sterling isn't the first high-profile person forbidden to partake in Hof's garden of earthly delights.

"We banned the 'Duck Dynasty' guys. Those guys are the biggest homophobic assholes and they make their living killing animals," Hof said. "We've also banned Michael Vick. We don't want him here. I couldn't guarantee his safety from the girls. They love animals."

Sterling may be persona non grata at Hof's brothel, but his estranged girlfriend, V. Staviano, now has a free lifetime pass.

"She needs to meet some women who can satisfy her more than any man could," Hof said."

Every user on TWW would pretty much jump at the chance to get every other user fired.

You people have done it before, and are out for blood in general.

Big surprise thegoodlife3 is here doing what he always does, but dont let him fool you.

He is only here because the guy is rich and that deserves punishment, not because he's racist.

While everything that guy said is pretty fucked up and the guy does have a track record of being an asshole, I am also in agreement that the chick who recorded it and whoever leaked it needs to be getting put on blast as well. Every damn person out there has said something in private to a friend or family member that they damn sure wouldnt say in public or want broadcast to the world.

Sure, if this guy was on a radio show saying this sorta stuff then string him up. If they can prove he consented to having the conversation recorded then by all means he deserves it all. However, if the conversation was supposed to be private and then recorded and broadcast to the world then those people deserve to be strung up as well with him.

Unless the gf broke the law by recording him (some people say he wanted her to record everything, but that's not confirmed) and releasing it, there's not much anyone can do to her. It's not like she has a bunch of business relationships that could be dissolved.

as usual, a country's past misdeed dictate its current taboos. germany killed jews, so now they go overboard in trying to make it taboo and scandalous to say anything against jews. similarly, the us enslaved blacks, and now any speech against blacks is a no-no. but sexual harassment and assaults against women, who cares?!

not here i am not.

i am talking about the US where so many women get raped on uni campuses but the admin usually ends up siding with the rapists, saying things like,

why punish him he is about to graduate, or,
he admitted guilt that's punishment enough, or,
choose your punishment, or
it isn't rape if he didn't orgasm.

you don't know shit about your own country.

http://www.policymic.com/articles/57737/yale-s-sexual-assault-policies-highlight-an-educational-system-in-need-of-reform

Quote :
"Yale is hardly the first prestigious university to make the news because of its policies regarding sexual assault. Last year, Angie Epifano, an Amherst student, published an account of her experience as a victim of sexual assault in the Amherst Student, an independent college newspaper. Amherst dissuaded Epifano from receiving help, refused to change her room, forced her to enter a psychiatric ward, and prevented her from studying abroad, while the male student who assaulted her graduated with honors. "

AWESOME!!!!

Quote :
"Given such daunting statistics, you might be shocked by a new report issued by Yale University, regarding how it handles sexual misconduct on campus. The report refers to rape as "nonconsensual sex," and indicates that the offense is punishable not by suspension or expulsion, but by "written reprimand.""

EVEN BETTER!!

you need to be quite special to be able to say something like that. i bet you are pretty special, aren't you?

yes, we are all robots, and we are all the same! by the way, how many "middle eastern" people/families do you know personally, even if we ignore the fact now that you apparently don't know what the middle east includes? 10? 5? have you been to their homes, and seen how they treat their women?

what would you say about a judge who let a serial rapist go because according to the judge, the victim didn't fight off the rape enough? that he is a middle eastern judge? what if he is an american judge in NYC? (look it up, if you don't believe me)

educate yourself before spouting off half truths and half lies.

and lol at "human rights issues", i mean you just gave blacks the right to live an integrated life a few decades ago, and you are saying others shouldn't mention human rights.

(i just used stupid fallacious logic in that last sentence, similar to the one you used, to show you the stupidity of your post)

Quote :
"Jordan

Women can travel freely without permission from their husbands or male relatives. They hold public posts and female pilots, police officers and soldiers. Recently, Jordan's parliament passed a law that allows Jordanian women married to foreigners to pass on their nationality to their children. However, domestic violence and "honor killings" still happen.

Saudi Arabia

King Abdullah has granted women the right to vote and run in the 2015 municipal elections. The king also appoints 30 women to the top advisory body, the Shura Council. The body cannot legislate and its male-dominated chamber has so far not taken up a request by three female members to discuss the issue of allowing women to drive. The Saudi government also has rolled out a law penalizing domestic abuse, including neglect. The law does not address the guardianship system that grants male family members authority over their female relatives.

United Arab Emirates

Mothers can now pass their citizenship on to their children — giving them access to generous social services and stable government jobs. The UAE is among the most socially liberal of the Gulf states and authorities have made an effort to hire women to prominent government roles. However, traditional attitudes toward women have run up against the country's modern image. A 24-year-old Norwegian woman was sentenced to 16 months in prison last year for having sex out of marriage and on alcohol charges after she claimed she was raped by a co-worker. She and her alleged attacker, who was jailed on similar charges, were later pardoned after an international outcry.

Kuwait

Women earned the right to vote for the first time in 2005, and in 2009, four women won seats in parliament. As in nearby Qatar, they aren't able to convey citizenship to their children. Those born to Kuwaiti mothers do get the same benefits as Kuwaiti citizens up until they're 21. That includes free education, health care, and monetary benefits. Unlike in neighboring Saudi Arabia, women can drive and travel on their own. They aren't required to cover their heads, though expectations of modest dress remain as in other Gulf countries.

Iraq

There are no laws focusing on domestic violence against women. The country's 2005 constitution states that a quarter of parliament seats and government positions must go to women. This later was extended to provincial and local councils. But with the growing power of the religious institutions, women in some areas have been forced to put on veils and abaya — the long, loose black cloak that covers the body from shoulders to feet.

Syria

Women are members of parliament, Cabinet ministers and one of the country's vice presidents. The Syrian nine-member government delegation that went to peace talks earlier this year over its civil war included two women. In northeastern Syria, the Al-Qaida-breakaway group called the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant forced women in areas under its control to cover their bodies, including hands and faces. In other rebel-held areas, where less radical Islamic groups are in control, most women wear the Islamic veil.

The Palestinian Territories

Twenty-six women were slain by relatives in the West Bank and Gaza in 2013, twice as many as the year before, according to official figures. The rise stems from mounting economic difficulties in the Palestinian territories, compounded by ongoing leniency for those killing in the name of "family honor" and social acceptance of violence against women. Activists have urged Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to repeal sections of a penal code that allows for short sentences for the perpetrators."

LOL, you ever consider the fact that some people, such as me, are not brain-dead nationalists, and that they consider all humans to be equal, and are saddened by the mistreatment of humans everywhere? (yeah I know, that concept is foreign to half the Americans)

And just to respond to your fallacy, look up the HRW, Amnesty, and the State Department reports about women in the US, if you don't think women aren't treated like shit in your country.

(Another response to your fallacy: There are no women mistreated in my house, so my front yard is clean. I have no power to change any of the irrelevant issues you keep bringing up. You can't really be that stupid?)

americans have infinitely more power to change their laws than people in arab/asian countries, if they actually cared about social issues. sadly, most people are fixated on football, miley, netflix, mcdonald's, and getting drunk. the few who do rally for social causes and work for the common good achieve a lot after tiresome efforts, but they would achieve shitloads more if they had the support of the apathetic hundreds of millions.

(not talking about how women are treated by individuals, rather, by institutions such as military, courts, police, colleges, etc)

Nice try, but this is what you said that derailed the thread:

Quote :
"the us enslaved blacks, and now any speech against blacks is a no-no. but sexual harassment and assaults against women, who cares?!"

You consistently talk shit about The United States because of its sexual assault problem, yet you just as consistently fail to acknowledge that the problem is exponentially worse in the country that you [presumably] still hold a passport to. It's the fucking height of hypocrisy!

So yes. This thread was about a racist. Now it's about a hypocrite. I'm sure it will be about a racist again soon.

Why is sexual assault on women a problem in America? I guess because it is illegal here. If you can freely assault women in your country, then you aren't breaking any laws, thus it isn't a "problem."
