One of the engineers on board manipulated gps signals to steer the plan off track without the pilots realizing it, jammed the radars when it looked like the plane was turning around, then turned the plane back the other direction ensuring everyone's looking in the wrong place.

I live the time machine/warp drive theory.
3/19/2014 10:46:16 AM
I think this is some viral marketing campaign for the new Godzilla movie
3/19/2014 11:00:46 AM
You people are foolish if you think this plane landed safely.
3/19/2014 11:22:40 AM
Ok lets play along with the Goodfellow theory for a minute- obviously the plane did not land, or make an approach, at Pulau Langkawi. Does this airport not have an approach radar of their own that would have indicated if it got close? Also, still playing along, if the pilots perished before making an approach, and the plane continues on that heading, at altitude, it could explain why the original reports from the Malaysian military primary radar data last showed the aircraft near Pulau Perak, and could also explain why extensive searches in the Malacca Strait turned up nothing, but does not explain the satellite handshake at 8:11AM.Also it should have had more than enough fuel to travel within radar range of Diego Garcia?

So you're suggesting that EVERYONE on base (there are civilians there too) kept the landing of a 777 secret? We're talking about an atoll which is basically a landing strip, it's not a large island, I promise you, someone would have talked
3/19/2014 1:55:44 PM
Yeah, definitely holes in the theory but I gotta admit it does match up with a lot of what's being reported, assuming the pilot is involved. But making that many people disappear is not something I believe the US govt would do, especially since Americans are among them.[Edited on March 19, 2014 at 2:06 PM. Reason : ]

I think they landed it on the water like chelsey sullenburger. By now they are out of peanuts and fresh water and conditions on board are getting desperate.
3/19/2014 2:29:26 PM
also have they considered the involvement of Ernst Stavro Blofeld?[Edited on March 19, 2014 at 2:38 PM. Reason : http://www.businessinsider.com/malaysia-smoke-in-cockpit-2014-3]

Did we throw out this theory/suspect yet?

Well since all I have seen is maps of the flight path drawn apparently by the news media, all I can say is it appears to have been within a 50 mile radius of Pulau Langkawi but who knows how accurate that is.RADAR update: the Malaysian govt now says another country has provided them with radar data, but they won't say who. Fuckin clowns.Maybe it was Taiwan?http://www.wired.com/dangerroom/2013/03/taiwan-radar/Calculating distance on Google Maps, which may not be totally accurate and again using the media map drawings which may not be accurate, and assuming this radar in Taiwan does have a 5000km/3000mi range and that it does see airliners, it looks like the last known position of the jet at this point was only about 2000 miles away. So the data from this radar could be relevant to verify which way the jet turned.

Snowden mentioned a big revelation at TED, maybe he knows where the plane is.
3/19/2014 11:45:32 PM
I believe they found it.Debris near Australia...wonder if it drifted there? Also, could NOT be the plane too.http://www.cnn.com/2014/03/20/world/asia/malaysia-airlines-plane/index.html?hpt=hp_t1[Edited on March 20, 2014 at 12:53 AM. Reason : d]

Don't black boxes only hold an hour or two of information?
3/20/2014 1:17:12 AM
if the black box is the only thing that survives an airplane crash why don't they make the entire plane...out of the black box!?I knowwwww!?
3/20/2014 8:36:37 AM
3/20/2014 11:17:16 AM
I dont get how my phone holds more data than a black box.
3/20/2014 11:18:32 AM
^The cockpit voice recorder only holds 2 hours of recorded sound. The flight data recorder records up to something like 25 hours of data for many, many parameters.[Edited on March 20, 2014 at 3:39 PM. Reason : .]
3/20/2014 3:38:41 PM
^^planes are old / i read that part of the limit on the recording of phone conversations in the cockpit had to do with suspicions that airlines would use the recordings to screw pilot unions in labor negotiations.
3/21/2014 11:27:00 PM
does anyone think these people could still be alive?
3/21/2014 11:42:32 PM
New images now of more possible debris... but at this point, who cares
3/22/2014 8:01:58 AM
i bet the plane is somalia.
3/22/2014 8:09:44 AM
somalia is plane
3/22/2014 10:32:27 AM
then who was phone?
3/22/2014 11:30:58 AM
there is no way in today's world anybody can hijack a full airliner, land it somewhere, and keep the passengers for so long without the beans spilling at all.
3/22/2014 11:45:25 AM
^ the world is a big place. Clearly radar coverage of the Indian Ocean is spotty too. Do the black boxes still use magnetic tape? I'd imagine so, just because this would allow at least some sata to be recovered even in massive damage. Or if they had the data redundant across like 100 sd cards, that would be pretty robust too.
3/22/2014 2:05:06 PM
^^have you ever been outside of the United States to a remote country? In South Africa you can drive for 3-4 hours without passing another car on what they consider a "main passage road"
3/22/2014 3:23:41 PM
^ oep lives in Saudi Arabia or something like that.
3/22/2014 3:26:39 PM
now its just a dick measuring contest with china.

3/22/2014 9:49:36 PM
I dont doubt we have the capabilities to know EXACTLY what happened to the plane and every moment it made on a secret government level...they prolly wanna keep that kind of information very secretive though, so its best to seem interested as you say.

i asked my top engineer at work what he thinks happened. He looked me dead in the eye, do this pop thing, says UFO. Walks away.

Noone is ever going to find the thing if Malaysia continues to keep all the important information to themselves.
3/23/2014 8:09:40 PM
the local conspiracy theorist seems to think that a Pakistan is still pissed cause we just waltzed in and got bin laden, they are going to repaint it to look like another company's plane, put a small nuclear device in it, and detonate it over NYC during one of our significant holidays
3/23/2014 11:33:41 PM
What info is Malaysia hoarding?
3/24/2014 12:00:21 AM
Someone knows where this thing is.You're telling me they can pinpoint my driveway on a map or even have drones that can detect faces but this HUGE object just "vanished" naw son
3/24/2014 12:48:38 AM
...because spy agencies constantly have satellites watching vast swaths of ocean where nothing interesting ever happens.
